I own the same bike bro. 2020 model. Good information. I used to get anxiety even when I get a single fuel bar. Love my bike on highways n specially on hills.

@@armyof4gaming If you are in a very hot climate use 10w50 else 10w40 is recommended. I live in Chennai so I mostly go for 10w50. But 10w40 also works totally fine.

Very informative! I typically refuel around 180km when the last bar appears, which honestly causes me a lot of anxiety too. Do you also reach the last bar at around 180km? If so, theoretically, we could refill at 300km and still be safe, right?
I start looking out for a refuel when the last bar starts flickering. Which means the bike is using reserve fuel. I think that's 3 liters on the R3. Which gives me at least 60 kms to look out for a pump. So ya... 300 sounds right. On the highways, I get a milage of around 25+ kmpl.
whats the speed you rode at? While coming back from Bodhgaya after 4 months, while reving hard that is around 9-10k rpm, mine gave me 21 and when I was riding with tremendous patience, it gave me 31kmpl.
I would die to see Yamaha launching it again in BS6 avatar. Thats a straight increase of almost 2 kmpl (wild guess) just for bs6, at the cost of a minor dip in power(hopefully not)
@@HighwayToHill for a country with 18% of world's population, its upto yamaha to move production line here than try ckd and cbu. Its becasue of the overpriced nature, we hesitate to go for R3. Else we'll outsell every country if make in india is adopted.
Heya, I rode r3 for 450 kms from prayagraj to bodhgaya today. i used both the maps on powertronic. Things seems good now. thou i didn't rev hard since I was just trying to get the feel. after using XP95 petrol and liqui moly 4t speed shooter, i got a milage of almost 31. i was riding mostly at 100 kmph till 120 kmph at 6000-7000 RPM.

Hey... I have been using Shell unleaded petrol with no high octane rating. I tried their VPower fuel, however I didn't realize a massive difference. Shell is expensive in India and I have recently shifted to a 95 octane rated petrol. Even though the manual just recommends normal unleaded petrol, I felt a big difference in refinement with the 95 octane rated petrol. Mileage is still around 27-28 kmpl on highways. Hope thia helps.
