A very short video update this week
I am not a qualified flying instructor nor do I ever claim to be a very good pilot. I fly for fun and basically record for my own interest and review but upload because a number of people suggested that I should. I do try to edit for enjoyment and story telling and this means that some content is not always included.

Building is already throwing up some problems with foundations and tree roots!

Hi Tim, short and sweet this week, I'd sat down with a freshly brewed coffee and unusually the video finished first! Re. mogas, there isn't only the ethanol issue, but we also have to consider the short 'shelf life' and lower vapour pressure of mogas which is more likely to lead to vapour locking and carb ice. Plus of course, the lack of lead! For these reasons I've only ever used Avgas in the Lycoming in the Auster. The perfect fuel for us would be UL91, but this never really seemed to take off. Cheers Tim. Hope the kitchen build goes well and you don’t get too exasperated choosing taps and cupboard handles. If the worst comes to the worst you can always jump into Echo Hotel to escape for an hour or two…

I think kitchen has been chosen now but building control making life difficult with 2m foundations and a block and beam floor!

I hope you find a new source of ethanol free fuel. Try not to let the kitchen extension cause you too much stress. I look forward to the next video, whenever that may be.

I will have to use Avgas but need to work out where is the best place to land for it or see if they will sell to cans. Building already throwing up problems with foundations depth and tree roots!
