Lauryn Hill is one of the most legendary hip hop musicians ever. In my eyes she's the greatest female MC of all time, I'd put her up against any single other female MC and she'd win without question.

This album (The Score) has a bunch of other good songs worth checking out like Zealots, Cowboys (album version) to name a few. Also Fu-Gee-La (Refugee Camp Remix) is more chill/melodic than the others. All are great though. I haven't listened to this album in years so its a nice reminder of how good it is.

She said it. Music back then was "so much better". I was 11 years old when this song was released and even though we were only kids, we followed Hip Hop music and culture like it was the gospel. Hip Hop took over the music charts because it was just so damn good. So grateful I got to grow up in the 90's.

Ahhhh the Fugees. I love it when young kids get into music I used to love. Back when I was snowboarding competitivly, I was mostly a punk rock kind of guy, but bands like Diggable Planets, Leaders of the New School, and especially the Fugees. Also, I had a massive crush on Lauryn Hill like most guys my age.

I respect her decision to take a step back from the hype of fame, and the industry tryna drain her for what ever they can profit from... of course me too would have LOVED to get more content from her. I remember being in complete awe of her from the very first time hearing her.... but she did actually make a brief appearance laying a verse on Nas latest project now in 2021 ❤
