Fuji XT4 vs Lumix GH5 | Not An Upgrade But A Strong Alternative

Summary: The new Fuji xt4 is a dope fantastic camera and I enjoyed the couple of hours I got to spend with it. I wish I had more time but maybe in future videos. In comparison to the Lumix gh, I wouldn't classify it as an upgrade but definitely another option to consider for most capable cameras even in 2020. If I did not already own a gh5, the fuji xt4 would be my main camera. Do you own any of these camera's or do you plan to pick one up?

Good vid. I would also add if you rely on Auto ISO for exposure compensation in dynamic scenes the stepping ISO on XT4 ruins the shots. Hopefully they can fix in firmware.

Great review and comparison. Before I purchased the GH5 I was torn between the Fuji xt3, and Canon R. Was a difficult choice! Lol!

I have Vlog and shoot pro work with the GH5 but only manual focus which can be annoying for dynamic vlogs. I shoot video and photos the XT4 does both well I think so might switch.

welll as you can see from my channel I vlog with the gh5 often, there's a trick to nail perfect focus every time which is just as simple as a click as a button. but this trick can really only be applied to vlogs, you can make it work on professional sets too but i find it more useful vlogging.

appreciate it brother. The color shift you may be referring to is the xt4 awb shift. It's pretty sensitive if you forget to lock the wb

Great video! Does the X-T4 do timelapse videos? Can you program focus points to do automatic rack focus shots? If you plug in a mic and headphones, do the cables get in the way of the LCD? thanks!

Maybe I didn't look too hard, I didn't notice it when I was outside but then again we were moving around alot, that's why I want the camera longer for a more thorough test!

Good video but come on bro. The IBIS in the GH5 is far better than the XT4. Don't underplay the main advantage that Panasonic has over Fuji. The slow ninja walk was more comparable, but it still had a lot of amateur micro stutters. The Michael Meyers walk was night and day difference. The Fuji was bobbing all over the place. No way that's a 9/10. Fuji is like a 6 at best. I know it's not meant to be used as a gimbal replacement but when you are using a Panasonic or Olympus, it almost is.

Not sure what the point of this video is. I thought I was going to be seeing a camera that is every bit as good as the GH5, which OK you've shown it is, BUT I thought the alternative bit was, that it was cheaper. I've just looked on eBay and the XT4 is around £400 more expensive. Maybe this video should have been titled "The GH5 and Alternative to the More Expensive XT4".
