Fujifilm X-H2 Hands-On Preview: We love it! 

Good video overview of the cameras. I’d love to see you two have a video autofocus battle. Obviously the xh2S should win but I’m curious if for many people the xh2 video af will be good enough

Just got my X-H2. Big change from the X-T3 but I love it.

I guess a lot of viewers here (and reviewers) don't use L brackets. I do, so the flip screen of the X_H2 (in place of the tilt screen of the X-H1) is a disappointment.

Well, you wet my appetite for this one. XH2 does look very appealing but now I want comparison to other high resolution cameras. Always good to see joint videos with you two.

This is the camera for those who want something like Sony - soulless.

I would say if you needs reading classes, Xh2 is the one over XT5.

You didn't mention that Fuji seems to have given up on its original layout of having shutter speed, ISO, and other functions on the camera body as separate dials. An aperture ring remains on most of the lenses. This traditional layout is what drew me to Fuji in the first place, so I'm not thrilled that they've gone over to a PASM dial. It was easier to understand the decision for the XH2S, but with the more photo-centric XH2 it feels to me like a retrodgrade step. I assume they wanted to save money by keeping the body the same for the two cameras, but that doesn't make me want one.

I wonder how the 8k Braw output over hdmi can be recorded, since the video assist only does 4k as far as I know..

Fuji could’ve totally made their version of Sony… X-H2s v. A7S X-H2 v. A7R (fuji uses X-Hr instead) X-H2 then becomes the entry model and uses the last sensor, but new processor, or whatever sensor is planned for the new T and Pro bodies. But this would’ve been perfect for those who want the modern body but cheaper price $1,700 USD If Fuji takes the 40MP sensor for the T & Pro bodies, it means those cameras just got more expensive too possibly $2k unless Fuji strips out some of the features? Personally, I’d love for Fuji to put the 40MP sensor in the T-5 and bring back the 3-way screen where it’s a photo first camera, video second.

Too many MP, H2s is the one I would go for...if I wanted more/better image quality I would buy a medium format insted.

Curious about diffraction issues (if any) on 40mp APS-C. What are your thoughts?

Dave, you mention the X-H2S so I was wondering how you find it compared to the Sony a9 for AF and tracking fast action?

So X-H2 sounds great all those megapixels and image detail. But what about my legacy glass? I go way back with the first two lenses fuji offered. The 18mm f2 and 35mm f1.4, not to mention the non WR 23mm f1.4 and non WR 56mm f1.2. If my legacy glass limits the X-H2 performance why upgrade if the image quality is only marginally better. Yes I have a pair of zooms that will take advantage of this awesome sensor but I am quite attached to my older glass too. Im 300 km outside of Calgary so its kind of difficult to get a hands on. thoughts?

How would you compare the XH2 with either the a7iv or OM1? For a serious amateur who does general photography (landscape, wildlife, family events, grandchildren sports) which would be your preference?

Hopefully, with battery grip the X-H2 can unlock faster focusing like the X-H1 did, and lastly 4k or at least 2k 120fps no crop.

Best thing about this is you can get the XH1 cheap.

I believe the XH2 40MP sensor isn’t BSI. That is one of the differences between the XH2 and XH2S. Mask On Nurse Marty

does it have a crop at 4k 60 ?

The XH2 has more crop potential for wildlife shooters, so it really depends, is the XH2s extra keeper rate that big of a difference to justify the extra cost?

Why these cameras look bigger than many FF mirrorless? And lenses are huge as well.

Another “me too” camera from Fuji. They keep alienating their base with every new release.

It is a little silly to compare the two cameras from an ergonomic point of view since they are exactly the same.

“Bolt on” cooling system is an utter joke. Try bolting a radiant to the outside of your car and see how well it works.
