Going to Kauai, Hawaii in two weeks. I have a Sony a6409 and two lenses: Tamron 18-300 and a Sigma 16/1.4. Would you suggest something additional. I’ll be photographing ocean activities with the kids, landscapes, sunrises/sunsets, and night photography. I’m a beginner. Thanks for your videos-SUPER helpful!
This reduces my 3-lens walkabout kit to a 2-lens kit. I'll be replacing my Tamron 17-28/2.8, Sony 28-60/4.0-5.6 and Tamron 70-300/4.5-6.3 with this new telezoom and a Tamron 20-40/2.8. The 20-40 is also better suited to dance floor shots at events. Yay!
‼️A nice camera. I would buy it if it hasn't the film simulation wheel. This is a toy for Instagram people... p.s. the price for the X-T50 body in Switzerland is actual sFr. 1250.- (€ 1240.-) in Interdiscount shop.
so how about landscape? i am not a professional, but would love to use it for landscape. i am not a video guy, so.... z8 or save the money and keep the z6iii?
Very nice camera. I learned Fuji on the XS10. The controls are different between the cameras. Not a big fan of dedicated dial because the drive mode button on The Xs10 &XS20 gives you instant access to Film Simulations with your eye on the viewfinder and see the actual film simulations in composition while scrolling with the toggle lever. Much easier and faster. If you prefer the “ tactile “ experience of the XT30 then you should definitely buy that camera. I like the way the XS20 or XS10 allow for IMO easier manipulation of controls without having to turn dials…because they make me take a hand off the camera. A front and rear wheel I get but not the dial.
A couple of things missing in this camera are the shutter angle and the CF Express card slot. I have a 2TB CF Express card on my GH6. The external SSD recording works fine but I need to power the camera via the USB because I do a lot of long form content. I think I will wait for the GH7.
I thought the Z9 was the first camera with pre-buffer. Seems I was wrong. Pretty cool that it was already available 8 years ago, even though the output was just 4K resolution.
Just caught one in an auction. Looking forward to playing with it. My only gripe is that Nikon doesn't allow for any manual focus assist tools to work with un-chipped adapted lenses. I've been looking for a mirrorless that confirms my focus using the AF sensors for many years now. Now I have to spend 100-230 bucks on a Sony E to Nikon Z adapter just so I can use my old lenses with proper focus aides.. kinda silly if you ask me.
I want to live stream the stream and meadow on my farm. Lotza wildlife passing through. I want to mount a camera inside the cupola. Is this where I can learn what equipment I need?
Obviously honest and unbiased. This camera looks good but I don't know how slow the focusing is. Is there a metric for that? Also, I don't like wide lenses. Is optial zoom better than digital zoom? I am looking for an indestuctable camera for street photography in Bangkok. I like between 50mm and 85mm. I would like a camera from the Nikon7000 series but I am afraid to buy used cameras.
I have a Minolta XD11 with motor drive, a Canon FTb, a Nikon FE and a Voigtländer VITO BL (really!). I wish I still had the Canon T90!! Should I get the new Pentax or am I all set? The vertical view looks to me like: if we can't train them to do it right, let's join them!
This is intriguing. I have four film cameras waiting for something inspiring to come along. Hopefully this is it. :-) Just not clean on the post-processing side of it.
Hi, no bother at all. As long as you are running the latest LR updates you should be just fine for working with the RAW files off of the Z6 III. Thanks
I just obtained the new Fuji 16-50mm 2.8-4.8, and it is very sharp! If Tamron ever releases this full frame lens for Fuji X, it would be a great match for my Fuji X-H2 which starts at 50mm.
I saw another review that said the fast performance of the partially stacked sensor comes at the expense of dynamic range. It stated that the dynamic range is the same as an APSC sensor. Can you confirm that this is the case? The whole point in upgrading from my D7100 to full frame is the better dynamic range so this would be a deal breaker for me.
Shame on you. This is not acceptable. One must be blind to look at film photos nowadays. You want a film look, just apply countless filters to digital processing of RAW data. “ film community” I have not enough words of disapproval for your consumeristic hedonistic approach to global resources. You want all this chemical dirt back? What for? For your wasteful pleasure of getting one good frame per film? Which you will then scan anyway to treat in your PC? Do you know how much unnecessary chemical waste you produce. No? Ask AI. “Film community” you must be out of your minds . Stop consumeristic wastefulness.
Please, all these cameras are way overpriced, most people only need enough resolution for an 8X10 at most and just the basic features to take a well exposed picture.
To me, it's all about EVF. So far, ANY of the many EVFs out there were horrible for me to look through. To me, EVF was lagging, shimmering and making me nauseous. That has to do with an eye condition I have (I'm nyctalopic), and that prevented me to upgrade to mirrorless. Until now! The Z6III is the first mirrorless with an EVF I actually find usable with my eyes. So yeah, I'm gonna buy it ;-)
Hello, amazing review - thank you for that! Can I ask which type of lens was attached to GH7 while talking? Was it the same lens as skateboarding sequences were shot on? Thank yoou!
I want a bigger MP sensor. I have a 24 MP aps-c camera and would like to upgrade to full frame but I do want to have a higher MP sensor camera within the range around 2k!!
The Z 6 III is a great camera. I Sold my Z 6 II as I was NOT impressed with that camera. I think Nikon really needs a Z 50 II or a Z 90 ASAP. I own the Z 9 and Z 8 and the Indigo Blue Z f with a Kontise Leather half case which gives it added protection and a far better grip, that leather half case is in Blue too. If you are undecided on a Z f or a Z 6 III I'd already recommend the Z 6 III. I ONLY use the Z f with the 28 mm SE lens. Of ALL of these cameras the Z 8 is a Rock Star. And with long lens the Z 9. I do use the Nikon Z 50 everyday with the kit 50-250. The Sensor shields on the Z 9 and Z 8 are amazing.
I currently have the original Z6 as a backup and fun camera to my bigger and heavier Z9. I can’t wait to pick up a Z6III as my new backup! Great video.
