Love the intro and you own the " demeanour ' for explaining the X-t4. Most likeable explanations( are you a teacher? ) one of the easiest mini-lectures on the net . Respectfully submitted....Pat
Oh thank you so much, I got myself an XT 4 no idea where to start, this has been BRILLIANT. You're so lovely and your voice is a delight to listen! Thanks SOOO much for this intro
Thank you so much for making this video. I am a newbie and I was so happy to see my Fuji XT4 movie mode go from not being able to see anything to VOILÀ we have light!!! Just discovered your channel so going to check out the rest of your videos!
Thanks for this! Tomorrow is my birthday and I am getting an XT4, yay! I will be using your video settings to get it ready. I greatly appreciate the time you took to make this video.
Yes thanks for picking that up, I must have thought I turned the dial but it didn't show on screen somehow. If you are using 24fps then you would set the shutter to 1/48 sec and if you are using 25fps then you would set the shutter to 1/50 sec, i.e. shutter should follow the 'double the frame rate' rule.
@@olgadekell Will you make an advanced movie tutorial? Also I really want to shoot some high speed movies to get the slow mo effect on playback. This camera is so amazing... btw I have a female friend in Berowra, she comes over twice a decade lol
@@olgadekell just got the kit 18-55 f2.8 I think it is. Once I get use to the camera I'll look at more lenses. I primarily film video of cars and motorcycles and interview people.
This is the second time I saw this clip, you are so great. But I have one issue, I cannot change the shutter speed as you do, the wheel do not responds in the way you do it. If I set 125 sec I can change it to 120, but if I close 60 I cannot change it to 50. What am I doing wrong?
@@olgadekell Was not working out at all lol . So I am doing product reviews and its been all over the place. But switched to full manual in video WoW it changed everything, with your setting plus manual about fixed every issue - except now I am in manual lol but thats okay
Great tips! I compared some of these against what I currently have. I use "S" for focus mode and I haven't had any issues with AF. I don't really know the difference with "S" and "C" though. I just know "M" is manual so "S" or "C" will suffice for any other AF mode.
Yes you are right! That's great, one less thing to think about 😁. I thought it mattered but it doesn't seem to in the Fujifilm world. I'm often surprised at their attention to detail and extra little features that I don't expect coming from other brands.
Thanks for the info. Just what I was looking for! I believe the PAL (25fps)/NTSC (30fps) differences do not really apply anymore; they were initially introduced due to the old CRT (tube) TV's. Basic overview, the fps was half the AC frequency used by the TV. PAL 25fps for 50Hz AC, NTSC 30fps for 60Hz AC. Perhaps we stick with the fps for the regions because that is what we have become use to viewing?
As far as I understand the pal / ntsc differences still apply in terms of some lights flickering in the shots if following the 180 degree shutter rule.
@@olgadekell that's a great point! LED lights do produce flicker, based on the frequency of the AC. I usually video outside, so never considered lighting.
Hello!! Nice video. But I have a problem... I dont know what I did but Im not able to change aperture, iso, and shutter speed manually even though is not block by the dial lock release but i do can change the settings by using the front command dial. Also... it only happens in movie/video mode cause in shot/photo mode I do can use the dials and the aperture ring to change my settings. I'll be glad if you help me.
I’m an a6400 owner and I’ve really considered dabbling into Fuji. Do you think the XT4 is worth the extra money over the XT3? I know a used XT3 is like $900 in the US
I started on the X-T3 and soon after moved to the X-T4 and haven't looked back. I document a lot of my camera journey here on RU-vid, you can look back through my older videos for some comparisons etc. In summary, I think the X-T3 is a great photography camera but because I do selfie video, the flip screen and IBIS are really important to me and were well worth the extra money. Also the battery is much better and the new photo/video mode switch is quite useful as you can retain separate settings. From memory the X-T3 also didn't have F-Log view assist which was annoying.
@@olgadekell Good to know I guess ive I’m going all in I might as well go with the XT4 I make a lot of short films, and personal projects but I also do lots of portraits
I think you might be in movie optimized mode where you can only move the settings via the front and back dials. To turn this off press 'menu/OK button, then in 'movie settings' go to ''movie optimized control' (on 2nd page) and set to 'off'. let me know if that works.
