i can only imagine how great it is. i have the somewhat camparable viltrox 56mm 1.4, and its my second favorite lens (after the xf 35mm)

Since i’ve owned both the old version and the new WR version, I can definitely tell you they are both very sharp! As far as auto focus goes, the new one is just slightly faster, which means I’m getting more hits that are in focus than with the old one. But I recommend using limit focus from around 6.5 feet to infinity for speeding up the auto focus on both lenses. Was it worth the upgrade, definitely if you’re doing street photography! This and the XT5 with 40 megapixels, I now leave the 90 F2 at home! I can crop to get what I want.

I'd love to see you trying the voigtlander lenses, like the 50 F1.2 and the 27 F2.0 :) These lenses are always on my camera, and made me sell my 56 1.2 wr! This would be interesting to see if professionally it's something you would consider!

If you don’t mind me asking, which autofocus do you find to be better? The 56 WR or the 90?

@@CadenMcCullough2424 90 is much faster beacause of the LM focusing,also gives you more reach,that's why I'm debating if I should keep the 56

@@rdtstudios Yeah I want that 90mm I currently have the 23mm 1.4 r lm wr and original 56mm but I think I’m going to end up selling those and going for the 18 and 33mm 1.4 r lm wr and eventually getting the 90. 18, 33, 90 sounds like an awesome prime trio to me.

@@CadenMcCullough2424 That's a good choice, I was going to get the 18mm instead of the 23mm, but for some reason when I ordered the package went missing, so I ordered the 23mm. Later I got the 33mm,56mm and 90mm, I also ordered the 16mm used and I felt in love with the POP tha lens produced, but I had to return it because the optic was scratched. I'm still looking to get one in good condition, so that will be my next lens, also wide than the 18mm

I wholeheartedly recommend the Sigma 56mm, it is my favourite prime lens for portraits. And yes, it's sharper than the Fuji's despite being cheaper

It’s definitely not sharper than Fujis… Lenstip proves that if you would like proof. Still a good lens though!

@CadenMcCullough2424 Hi, I had a chance to have both lenses for a day. I took side by side photos, using the very same camera settings. The Sigma's always came out sharper (I used a tripod with delayed shutter btw). But it's good to have multiple sources on the matter 🙂
