Nice review! We're heading to Austria in December and I'm thinking of renting or buying it to go with my S20. BTW, is that an 8mm in your shorts pocket or are you just glad to see me? ;-)
HAHA, love this comment! Thank you for watching and enjoying the video, it really means a lot. And definitely rent it out and give it a shot, see what magic you can create with it and if you like it then make your decision to buy
I would like to receive your advice on which objective to buy between the Fuji 8-16mm or the Fuji 8mm, for interiors of monuments and exteriors. I have the 10-24 but sometimes it falls short in angle.
If you do a lot of interior and monuments and feel like the range is needed then definitely opt for the extra range! I feel like the 8-16 is definitely heavier though but if that is not an issue then going for the extra range is a great idea. The reason I love the 8 is for the weight! But if weight is not an issue for you then probably the extra range would be helpful
8mm(full frame12mm) would have been great for astro, unfortunately it's just too slow. Since when do companies release prime slower than their own identical focal length zoom? I don't understand this lens, and why it even exist, at all.
I absolutely love this lens, it can get some super unique shots and forces me to be more creative, id be happy to send some samples! Some of my favorite shots of the year were taken with this lens! But I completely understand you, f3.5 isnt that great for astro, it is possible but it will definitely be noisy or force a long shutter speed
@@snapsbytaha I went with the Viltrox 13mm f1.4, it's solidly built, has a f stop ring, it's tack sharp and almost 3 stops faster than the fuji 8mm while being considerably cheaper. But if Fuji had made the 8mm faster by a stop or 2, I would have went with that one. Right now, that lens baffle me.
