We are making Fukagawameshi, asari clam miso soup poured over steamed rice. The clam dashi stock tastes so good and this light meal is very easy to eat.
How to make Fukagawa-meshi

Removing sand from clams is not included in cook time.
400g Asari Clams, Desanded (14.1 oz)
750ml Salt Water (1.5 tbsp Salt and 750ml or 3.17 cups Water)
1 Long Green Onion
1/2 Aburaage - thin deep-fried tofu
20g Carrot (0.7 oz)
300ml Asari Clam Broth (1.27 cups)
2 tbsp Miso
2 tsp Sake
2 tsp Mirin
1 tsp Sugar
7g Ginger Root, Shredded (1/4 oz)
Nori Seaweed, Shredded
Shichimi - Seven Flavor Chili Powder
300g Steamed Rice (10.6 oz)
1 tablespoon (tbsp) = 15 ml, 1 teaspoon (tsp) = 5 ml
