Once again Angela! I'm a simple person, I see a new Japan video. I immediately stop the important thing I need to finish and watch! Another japan city to add to my future travel list!!
For awhile, going to Japan seemed like one of those things for me that I'd always talk about wanting to do, but not actually doing it. But my mom surprised me a couple days ago saying she already booked hotels and we're going from June 3-9 for a graduation present. I'm picking up my passport tomorrow and can't even say how excited I am!
Awesome surprise! You'll more or less beat the worst of summer, but it's the start of the rainy season. So, I'll wish good weather upon you but my wishing may not be enough. =P Anyway, point is, weather may be bad- so you'll need to be watching the forecasts, and will probably need to be flexible to make the best of any clear weather days you get (and will probably want to research in advance some stuff you want to see that's mostly inside if you get any downpour days).
wow..enjoy watching this video very much with my family and children... love the quote at the end.. thank you.. will continue to finish the rest of 3 more years of your video about the unhidden path of Japan .. Hopefully can go visit japan soon..
I've seen many guides to fukuoka, and yours is by far the most "chill" depiction of the city. Not really about the touristy spots. Will try to check out your recommendations when we visit this april
What a super nice place that is. The ramen looked so delicious, I would definitely have drank all the broth also. I love how you tried to run up that wall, good for you, live life and enjoy it.
I recently asked a Japanese pro wrestler from Fukuoka what I should eat there and she said motsunabe and ramen and that's what you went to eat so kudos. 😄
Fukuoka seems very pleasant, I think I'll have to visit Japan more than once; I'm not complaining...😅 I loved the bonus scene at the end Angela, sometimes I do the same... ❤😄
What a great video, so much to do in japan that I have to add this to my wish list to visit when I vacation in japan THANKYOU for making these vlogs 😊😊😊
Watching from Fukuoka. I am really happy that you perfectly introduced Fukuoka! As a person who is from Fukuoka, I would like to sincerely thank you for your time and effort you put in to create this awesome video! I became a huge fan of you!!
I love your videos, always so much fun to go along with you and see the amazing foods and sights. I have fun just seeing how much fun you have. Thank you!
I really liked the big mall when I went there. So many other cool things there too. I remember I was on my way to the beach when the bus drove past the baseball stadium and there was a Hawks game going on, so I figured... why not! After the gameI went to the the yatai shops by the river and had dinner there. That was a good day. I really do love it when your videos send me on a trip down memory lane. Thanks for making them.
Greetings from Germany! I really enjoyed your video. Makes me remember how much I miss being in Japan. I am going to study abroad in Fukuoka for a year and right now I am scouring the Internet for all the things to do and places to visit :D I already studied a year in Kyoto and am fluent in Japanese, but I did not have had the chance to visit the south of Japan yet (except for a week in Nagasaki), so I am really stoked to see that side of Japan as well!
Thanks for another awesome video Angela! I actually work for Hakata Ikkousha in the US and was going to visit Fukuoka. Now I have a few more things to do then just visiting HQ
あらゆる日本の文化的なことに夢中であるアメリカ人です。 I've heard Chinese speak English with a "British" accent who live in Hong Kong. Not all that unique, they. But to hear a "British" accented English spoken by a Japanese(!) person is truly a unique, truly interesting experience. I have done my share of traveling, but to hear your English is, like, almost transcendental to me.
Always relaxing to watch your videos after another long day of work! Thx and please keep it up :-) And yeah playing with kids on the playground is fun no matter the age. People who haven't kept some of their youth to at least understand that are those i pity the most.
May and June are full of weddings this year.. yet again ^^ So yeah .. good food for free without really doing a thing and enough alcohol to drown a soccer team or two with it sounds like a pretty decent time. While i missed the Japan-Day in Düsseldorf yesterday :-X Can't have everything i guess. Hope you had a good one too. BTW if you happen to read this: Do you (or someone you know) know nice places to go by in a boat? I though maybe something like Miyajima since one would probably get a quite different perspective of especially such islands place with you own ship to go around with.
Yummy!! It makes me want to try every kind of Ramen in Japan!! And Pic Nics, I love it ... and I always think to myself what are those people eating , what do they bring in picnics ... Great video as always Angela!❤️
internationally ME since I was at work, it was a sandwich and chips. Not the most appealing thing but it will do at the time. Your videos always want me to quit my job and move to Japan lol
Always love your vids. Your casual approach is just endearing. I thought your kiwi accent was adorable and told my wife about it, then she thought your Japanese accent was adorable. Haha. We just came back from a 2-week trip to the Tokyo area. Midori Sushi in Tokyo you recommended was amazing. We also love Tomita Ramen in Matsudo.
Your video is always easy to watch and fun. Please come to Kitakyushu, which has very good sightseeing spots and I live in lol. Thank you sharing this video!
Tip! If you plan on going to Ramen Stadium get there a few minutes before they open. The various ramen shops will gather their employees and yell out a pre-opening chant to give themselves a morning gambare!
Thanks for the video! I went to Fukuoka twice to learn Japanese but never made it to the ramen place in Canal City. I did eat plenty Tonkotsu ramen though and really miss it!
Another great place I'd love to experience. Angela your videos are so much fun! You answered a question in the beginning I always wondered: you are from New Zealand! I always wondered if you were native to Australia.
I visited Canal City in 2008 for a business trip. Fukuoka/Tenjin/Hakata is really a nice complex of great food and liquors. Breakfast in Mentaiko is also unique to Kyushu. Nakasu is also a well-known night city (though I've never visited the area - beware of tourist traps). And recently web and IT companies are building their branches in Fukuoka for more diversed and talented workforce (disclaimer: including one of my client companies). Great video as always :)
Hey, thanks for another great movie! Another thing that is really fun if you are in Fukuoka (though it is a little bit away from downtown Fukuoka) is Daizaifu Tenmangu, the largest shrine on Kyushu. Well worth the train ride down to see it!
