@@T-ud3fk Ohtani was the second out of the inning. So, a sac fly was not possible for either Mookie or Freddie. They needed a minimum base hit or better to tie or win the game.
I can’t stop watching this action!! I’m enjoying the HECK out of the Dodgers World Series 2024 cap on my head - with #5 on it!!!! I’m on the train right now heading back into LA to get my beef dip sandwich at Philippe! Line was too long before the game yesterday afternoon!
Lifelong Dodger fan & witnessed both walkoff broadcasts live. This Team! 💙 That said, would love to see Judge live up to his reputation and Shohei to give us some amazing memories akin to Ohtani vs. Trout in the WBC
As a Dodgers fan I always respected the Yankees. Classy franchise and the championships to prove it. Not like the Padres who have done absolutely nothing and still act like clowns. All that being said this is Dodgers year. They will not be denied by anyone or any team. 3 more!!! GO DODGERS!!!
Let us wait for the ending because we are use to other teams celebrate their first win, but just remember Yankees will always find a way to win World Series.🗽🗽🗽🗽
@@JohnJones-kk8zqyea as a Braves can I was fighting my fist in the air because I was like Braves organization u should have never let him go but on the bright side I’m happy for Freddie he deserves every moment of this he already has one WS ring so why not get a second one Go dodgers bring that WS trophy 🏆 in LA
Nobody talking about Rizzo who stopped running so he can get in the way and avoid the double play? Had he kept running he probably would've been safe, making it 1st and 2nd with only one out. Maybe nothing happens and game ends the same or maybe they score another run or two and go on to win the game....love this game and the way it ended though!!
Rizzo also should have been backing up Soto's throw from the outfield that got past Torres in the 8th and let Ohtani take 3rd with less than two outs, from where he went on to score the tying run on a sac fly.
There were a lot of Yankee mistakes in the field and on the base path, but Rizzo basically lost them the game by trying to block the double play throw that never happened
@@austinlinford5698 Yankees defense lost the game. Three times they allowed a Dodger to take third with less than two outs when they should only have been at second base, and twice they scored on sac flies. Yankees would have won 2-0 if they weren't so sloppy.
I've been a Yankee fan for over 50 years. This one hurts, but my hat's off to Freeman. He's one of the classiest players in the game. Great play by Verdugo. I'm no manager but Tim Hill should have been pitching.
I`m a Yankee fan too, and i feel that we have been knocked out already. I don`t know if the Yanks could overcome after this. The 1988 A`s couln`t, even with Maguire, Parker and Canseco in their squad.
@@jackprescott9652 They'll be OK. It's baseball! Rodon will right the ship tonight. Remember 1978 when they lost the first two games to LA? Enjoy the series.
@ 00:07:49 . Stanton's Baseball IQ > Judge's. There was no reason whatsoever to stop running and the Yankees may have rallied further if not for that odd decision. That ball hopping along the entire way. You gotta run that out.
This 10th inning was the game...The previous innings were also great, a classic pitching duel for sure that set the stage for this epic 10th inning. Freddie's Ganny was so surreal, though...so reminiscent of Gibby's walk-off back in 1988. GO AZUL!
How an exceptional play on a foul ball by Verdugo results in an automatical positive baserunning play for the offense, I'll never understand. What is this new rule?? Verdugo came out throwing and would have easily thrown out any advancing runners. It changed the situation on defense. Why is this rule in place? They would have gotten thrown out if they dared to go.
I'm calling rigged: - Yankee pitcher inexplicably *doesn't back-up* relay throw, allowing Otani to take third base?! - Freeman, who's standing *away* from the plate, gets a flat, inside, low-mph fastball?! *I'M NOT STUPID!*
Wait, so Mookie Betts never actually came to the plate? Do the new rules allow you to just say you want a guy to go to 1st without actually pitching the 4 balls?
14:30, 15:09= A completely wrong call of a umpire's ball decision has a decisive effect on the game. A human umpire's ball decision is not judged to be fair to everyone after all. Like Korean pro baseball(KBO), all strike decisions must be made by computers. Only then can everyone accept and be fair to the umpire. The current system in which umpires make ball decisions is no longer fair to the umpire like the Major League.
When playing the Dodgers in the World Series, it's imperative to note that it is a really bad idea to pitch to a Dodgers hitter with a leg injury in a potential walk-off situation.
Wow, the Yankees had it made, lots of baserunner and the bottom of the lineup in the bottom of the 10th, and they BLEW it! The Dodgers destroyed the Yankees, lol
Yankees didn’t lose as much as they GAVE away the game to the Dodgers. Cole was dealing yet bone head Boone took him out after 88 pitches, defensive lapses by Soto and Torres, bringing in a pitcher who hasn’t pitched in over a month with the game on the line, Judge not hitting, all add up to a huge disappointment and a sleepless night for me!!
