At 39:54 in the middle picture there is an anti-air wrath! It's seen on the far left in gold firing green projectiles. I remember seeing this as a kid but never being able to play with it and thinking it must be some secret and when I searched online no one ever talked about it so I thought I was crazy. lol

Honestly wanted to play the e3 alpha build version from the showcase. the base looked way cooler than what we got. it gave me the feeling that we could make bases like ones from c&c
beta_3v3_arabia is a fascinating glimpse of the old ensemble studios titles, as arabia was a map type particular to Age of Empires 2. Interestingly, Frozen Valley isn't as open as an Arabia map, though it isn't too far off and has similarly limited elevation ranges.
I keep wondering what the purpose of that weird debug number in the lower-right corner. It seems to be a timer, but it increases faster than the real timer in the corner. Other Halo beta videos have timers like this as well, but with how fast those move, I don't know how anyone could make use of these counters.

They didn’t even kill it for that reason. They killed it because it only sold 3 million units, and because they mismanaged the studio and bought the studio a new building that wasn’t being used for a Halo mmo. The building wasn’t being used because they were still waiting for the go ahead to expand the team.
