You sir were correct, as you did cover, "Every setting is covered in a logical way." It would have been nice to have you go step by step from scratch to build the website. I've watched about five Wordpress/Astra tutorials and I am about 1/50th along on building a website. Most tutorials makers, think they are hunky dory, but in reality, cannot explain themselves to the first time builder.

Loved it! Explained clearly every setting option and made it easy to understand. Looking forward to similar style tutorial for Brizy and Smart Slider 3 as those are lacking great video tutorials on each setting they offer. For me Astra + Brizy + Smart Slider 3 = HEAVEN. Today you solved one puzzle for me with Astra. What issue I also have is decide when to use Astra site layouts and containers, and when to use Brizy’s options. Same for when to use header and footer offered by each.

I've been asked to build a new site for our local drama group. Playing with OWP and Elementor Pro at the moment, reviewing some Themeforest themes but just about to watch this Astra tutorial as I haven't used Astra before. I'm hunting for inspiration. Thanks in advance for the tutorial. Needless to say, as they are a small community group, they have almost no budget.

You should see if one of their free Astra starter sites will fit with what they need. Then you'd be using a free theme with a free page builder and a free starter site. That's about is no budget as it gets.

I love your videos. I appreciate your clear, honest advice. I do have a question. Should I use a child theme with Astra Pro? I purchased the Astra Growth Bundle and I'm in the process of creating an e-commerce site. I saw in the control panel where is recommends a child theme when editing WooCommerce. I find information on the internet that is unclear to me. I've even looked through the Brainforce site... still not sure how to proceed or find a good guide for this.

Great tutorial Adam. I had some problems with the header and footer with the free Astra templates. I will certainly look at the way you are showing in this video. I think that I have skipped some this I didn't realize I could set up properly. Futhermore it's a bit annoying with the templates you'll get some plugings which I don't always prefer. Do you recommed them to use those plugins or to choose your own ones? And thanks again Adam. I don't know how you do it but You are the best source to build WordPress website. I probably said it before but you are THE man. ;-)

Great tutorial, great product, but I'm so CONFUSED. If I use an Astra starter, does that mean I can't use my page builder? (Brizy) As an example area, I'm assuming Astra's "global" typography is setting h1, h2, etc. But Brizy can also set these values. Who wins? Will it create conflicts? Would love to see a video going deeper into the relationship/rules between themes and page builders.

So helpful - but now that my website has been up a year - I need to add things to it ... and am having a terrible time - even duplicating a page and then over writing it - leaves the url for that new page showing a nearly clone name and not reflecting the new author (I have to do a new page for new authors and new books many times a year) so ?? can you do one that doesn't just start at the beginning all the time ?? but how to manipulate and change things ONCE is it already there - thanks

Ha...I now see your comment from a day ago....I bought Astra based, largely, on your recommendations in other videos. Everyone's allowed to change their mind, of course. Nonetheless, if you could let me know if I do need to buy Elementor (if doing so would provide any additional benefit), I'd really appreciate it.

Elementor is a free page builder, but they have a pro version which is paid. If I could only buy one, Astra or Elementor, I would strongly suggest buying Elementor, you get so much more that you will end up needing for your site.

WPCrafter.com WordPress For Non-Techies Thanks...I actually have both Astra Pro and the paid Elementor...I was really trying to figure out if I should return Elementor (if it came with Astra)..I’m deducting that the unpaid Elementor is available to people who buy Astra Pro but not the paid Elementor which does provide more functionality which means (if we’re not considering money) it does, indeed, make sense to buy paid Elementor (or, it wouldn’t make sense to return it...I’m getting features that don’t come with Astra). I think I have my mind wrapped around it...thanks again.

I mast confess that i've got Astra Pro and find it verý difficult to control de different options. It often seems as if one can't achieve what is desired, as if things were not well explained and the app behevior was weird. I see this in genereal, all themes for WP. I suppose I'm not the only one who happens this.

Hi, thank you for making a video on this. I'm still unable to find a solution for my issue though. My posts' featured images are displayed like a gallery on my homepage, but only the text is clickable. Is there a way to make the images clickable and hide the text?

@ 4:46 you said that the _Delete Previous Imported Site_ will cause my whole site to be deleted before the the new theme is loaded. Did I understand correctly? If I've taken many days to populate my site with text, photos, and graphics that, when I change the theme it will also wipe out all my content, right? I thought the whole idea of themes is to separate the presentation from the content. I hope I'm wrong in this understanding, because the theme I have chosen just doesn't work for me; too narrow so the schedule tables are crushed.
