You use left arrow key with the hologram out to change the size of the walls ect. No base part is only available with the admin tool.

Left arrow changes different versions of kits. For example, if you are using a wall kit, use left arrow to change from large wall to small .

@@SidDayZ great video by the way. I found out after building most of my base. Then had to tear most of it down to do it the way I'd originally wanted to do it after finding this out. Unfortunately several pieces would not give me the dismantle option for whatever reason. I even tried dismantling all the pieces around them, many that I intended to keep. I finally had to have an admin come in and simply delete the bugged pieces. The stairs are still buggy, but I was able to use them without snapping turned on. It appears that when snapping is turned off, the hologram "spawns" below ground level. I found this out entirely by accident when pressing the page up and down buttons out of frustration.

It's great that they finally added more options when building, but to me, the visuals of Tier 3, looks like downgrade then upgrade, but then I haven't tried building it yet with the new update, maybe it looks better in-game then through videos. great work though!

The graphics are fairly decent, however there’s still updates they are bringing to some textures like one yesterday, so maybe they’ll change it :)

Great tutorial!!!! I'm trying to find a server where you can practice building base designs or possibly trying to setup my own lan server to do it... How are you building as an admin? When I'm adding mods to my local server it won't start because the files are corrupted according to the console.. Do you have any recommendations how to practice building before I spend supplies on the real server I play on?

You can go into offline mode, otherwise you will need admin tools on a server :)

You can, however some dayz severs changed is so you cannot. You’re gonna have to check for yourself in the server you play 👍

How do you make items closer or farther away from your character. The ramp I tried to build was too close to my person to be able to function properly

If you enable snapping, you can snap the ramp onto a wall you’ve built. If you try to place a ramp with snapping off, it’s just impossible :)

Some server owners can change some things slightly, for example, on some servers you need to have the materials to build in your inventory rather than inside the wall.. I hope that helps, if not, try and ask the server owner or an admin of the server you play 👍

can you make a tier 3 door ? i was abe to make the wall T3 but the door only lets me get it to T2.

It is a T2 door I guess, it’s the same door for T2 and 3

Sometimes if u use a certain tool u You will have to use scroll wheel to get the right option, hopefully this will help. Scroll wheel 😀

When I try to build a sloped roof or a normal roof for that matter, I can place the hologram down fine, and it's facing the correct direction, but I am unable to place the crafting materials into the slots. No matter where I stand I cant get the crafting inventory to show up. Even tried standing on a car roof next to the wall but still nothing. Any ideas?

You need have the crafting materials in your inventory, then try to build with your hatchet (just like how you did it with the workbench)

It’s changed now, you need to have the materials in your inventory instead of inside the door/wall

Depends what server you’re on and what mods they use. You might have to make a ticket and ask an admin of the server you are playing about it..

Yes normally, but some servers make use of wall raiding I think.. U gotta check the server I guess, good luck out there

Still didnt get it how i can get tier 3 DOOR to my tier 3 frames? I can only get tier 2 (metal) door on it

it only costs metal as of right now, I think u need some more sheet metal than 2 to make it happen, they've updated something recently so best is to look at the wiki link in the description of this video and it should be there what u need, keep in mind u need a hatchet or hammer for the door and a shovel for the full brick layer :)

i got a problem i had some blueprints floating because they where colliding with some tree on the ground, i got some thing like this 12:26 , but cant fold them back, only way is by ladder? it looks ugly af floating above me

Yeah make a step ladder is my advice, if it’s not high enough maybe make more than 1.. good luck! 👍 (you can manually stack the step ladders)

You have to find the concrete mix and a cement mixer and mix it up with a car battery and a metal wire ;)

I'm trying to figure out how to do that after you've fully constructed it. I made a L/R gate kit and wanted a single, but I already constructed the l/r and no amount of looking around it with a hatchet in hand, do I get the deconstruct option.

the easiest way to do it is by looking in the middle or down in the middle on the gate and it should work, if not than you might need some admin support.

You can dismantle by looking at those same points where you would build it (usually in the middle) with a hatchet or crowbar or axe and you can dismantle it.

you have to make a normal door kit, than you can add the concrete and sheet metal, and after making the frame you can make it T3! Make sure you’re using a shovel. Hope this helps
