most imigrants are multilingual. im portoguese and live in switzerland and i speak Italian, portoguese, english and spanish fluently. also some french and german.
It had covered 8000 miles when I brought it in 2001. 2 years ago at 138000 the Sr20 engine was rebuilt and the car resprayed. All the rust was stripped out from underneath of the back part of the car and new metal put in. I never converted the car for drifting and it is stock apart from a remapp. The feedback the car gives you on the road is fantastic and the sensation I get from driving is like no car I have ever owned. If you over step the mark in the wet you will loose it. It is very predictible. Everywhere I go people want to buy it. It is a icon. I own a R35 which is a fabulous car. However I always go out this car and it puts a smile on my face. There is nothing quite like it. Finding a non rotten one that has not been drifted and destroyed is not easy but is possible! A brilliant car! It has been very reliable. The radiator did spilt once and a coolant pipe also did the same thing another time. Eventually as time goes on with any car parts wear out! I do not want to part company with car. It almost feels like a friend even though it is a lump of metal.
His look at 3:08min -> 😂 What a clean and good looking car, I really like the S14a 😍 A friend of mine had a car like this back in the days and it was always a lot of fun when we drove together… mostly more sideways than straight, but don‘t tell anyone 🥴😆 Best wishes, Philipp 👋
Temp guage was connected to the BOV. The harder you push the cooler it gets! ;-) Also unlike several recent videos, this seemed to be much closer to 400hp than the 300 specified..
I disagree, having an s14a with 300, it pulls a lot harder than what you see here. Also you need uprated head studs at around 320, internals if you go much higher. If the owner had done any of that, they'd likely do oil cooler & bigger rad at the same time
Love watching you lap this track you've done it so many times now that your so smooth with the overtaking on corners and the way your feet go its hard to master breaking with the left foot as that took me a while to learn
I'm French and it's nice to see @UnitedDriver. I'd have to bring my Renault Megane 3 Trophy-R to Misha, I don't think he's tried this car on the channel !
it has a failed head gasket. you can tell by watching the temperature gauge. whenever its on boost the headgasket leak allows air in which is why the temp gauge reads nothing until he comes off throttle/boost the water gets sucked back in from the resivor and BOOM
Biggest mistake people do with S or R chassies is not using the stock clutch fan and fan shroud. They have way more cfm's than aftermarket electric ones. I had one 10 years ago, S14 Zenki (euro spec)
Excellent.....I always hoped you'd get round to driving a Silvia. Always loved them, no idea why. Need to keep E85 dry. The first hint of water and it splits. The only place I've been where it is commonly on sale is Thailand.
Pretty sure that's a blown head gasket. It's normal for Silvias to have sporadic temp and rpm gauges as the solder points go bad with age, but not THAT much. Sill, amazing car, I love s-chassis so much
why should it ? stock gauges are completly OK ... just a bad gauge you got there. get it fixed and it will another 25 years completly overkill to get a other ECU just for the gauges ... OEM ECU back then was with Consult no OBD at all
I love seeing the faces of the people. Many different looks in one expression "holy F that is fast" "please don't let me die" "wish I could drive like this" "this man is insane" (no offence Misha) but it can be quite scary. I haven't driven with you but other pro's I have (both tarmac and gravel)
Also..... I want a car like that. Did you notice the feul gauge? Its that new self replenishing cars...... It uses a lot of fuel and then tops it off as it goes 😂
I would never stop, at least definitely not turn the engine off when the temp gauge is so high. Drive it gently, with rpm above 1500 to get decent circulation, but enough cooling...
My eyes was watching the heat gauge more than the road especially in the last minutes 😅 i like how they was going up n down with the RPM gauge and u don't know if ur engine is overheated till u slow down in some corner 😂 the owner should be very thankful that his engine didn't fu€ked up nd have to fix that gauge ASAP
Just a little over a quarter tank of fuel used for one lap - quite a thirsty engine, or maybe just a very small fuel tank. Temperature gauge did not look like it was working properly until it went all the way into the red. LOL!
Wow that has some bad electric problems occurring , would be worried bout the temp gauge doing that let alone fuel gauge going up instead of down 😂 lovely motors tho much love from Dorset UK 🇬🇧
Lovely Car! But could it be that the engine has some blow-by into the cooling system? The moment you boost that gauge moves into lows, maybe headgasket failure? Hope it's not a crack in the cylinder...
I'm curious what makes the coolant temp fluctuate so much? Sensor issue? Headgasket leaking? Also, I think a better radiator & oil cooler might help eh? I love this S14, it's nicely done inside & outside, really brilliantly done!
The clusters like to do that with age. Re doing the solder joints on the board typically fixes this. Edit: also, air pockets can cause this, although the gauge wouldn't move sporadically like this.
i used to have a s14 with a ka24 and the fluctuation of the coolant happen to me because after a rad replacement ,i didn't completely remove the air in the system
@@jjfrmeastside3767 yeah it was nothing special some 248 cams ,exhaust ,headers and kept the stock intake I found it ran better than a cold air, good luck on your project👍
No fan shroud? They really suffer from overheating without one unless it had electric fans. Same tyres as I run on my s14, how did you find them Misha? These are fantastic cars when setup well 🇯🇵
