To Dee’s point at the end, Kendrick looks like he’s in a better place mentally compared to when he dropped Mr. Morale, so I definitely think this next album is gonna be a lot more upbeat and very west coast heavy.
yup! mr. morale feels like the album he needed to make at that point in his life. now, it feels like his time to celebrate culture and the west coast. he also never does the same thing twice so his next albums are always different.
Maturing is realizing that Mr. Morale is Kendrick reaching the last stage of grief, acceptance. He's been battling trauma from when he was a child up until adulthood. Mr. Morale is him finally realizing that he's human, not a savior. He realized that he will mess up, but he acknowledges the fact that the only way he can move on is to finally confront it. Kendrick's whole music career is a full circle of self-retrospection and healing. He's now moving on to brighter things. This is the substance real lovers of art want from artists. I'm proud of him.
Also people keep saying why is Kendrick dropping a music video to a diss, Drake LITERALLY DROPPED ONE TO FAMILY MATTERS lmaooo they just ignoring that I guess smh
Just like he was also dragging the hell out of back to back when he won that feud. They literally can’t comprehend and accept that he lost this one and it’s okay.
Kendrick is the best in the game because he actually makes you think. These last 3-4 months have been amazing because Kendrick’s made hip hop interesting again.
They always throw up the fact that he barely makes music but fail to realize that he drops music when he wants to because that’s something he can do. He’s probably got tons of music we haven’t heard yet just waiting to be dropped but like he said it ain’t about the money or the fame for him. He raps because that’s what he likes to do and wants to do. His talent got him where he is today and that’s why his fan base is so loyal and if I have to wait another 10 years that’s what I’ll do
He did make a video for his diss track. It was called Family Matters: he destroyed KDots GKMC (fake) van, wore Tupac’s ring, hinted that he had Whitney’s engagement ring, and ate at New Ho King. People forget this because ‘Meet The Grahams’ dropped 40 mins later and destroyed everything.
@@AriesGirl7719 his biggest mistake (I listen to his music but KDot been my guy since 2012) was underestimating Kendrick, just dumb and letting his bozo fans gas him up to take it “there”.
kendrick def goated but if we gonna be real drake has more relatable music especially dem club bangers ..but well will see tho...dope song and even more dope video
@@gavinatkinson6259the only relatable shit from Drake was when it was his earlier music and he was just talkin about bitches and heartbreaks💀 I wouldn’t wanna relate to that😭
I don't know why people, even Kendrick fans, say that he never drops. He dropped super consistently up until the time between DAMN and MMBS (and we did get music between those projects). It was a long break but the man started the album saying he'd been going through something. It's not his typical habit to go 5 years between albums. The dude is human, damn. Releases: 2010: Overly Dedicated 2011: Section.80 2012: good kid, m.A.A.d city 2015: To Pimp a Butterfly 2016: Untitled Unmastered 2017: DAMN 2018: Black Panther Soundtrack, Wow Freestyle, Mona Lisa, Tints, Something Dirty/Pic Got Us, The Mantra, Dedication, Hustla’s Story, 2019: Momma I Hit A Lick, NILE, Hair Down, Rearview 2020: Look Over Your Shoulder 2021: Family Ties, Range Brothers, Drones 2022: Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers 2023: America has a Problem ... and a whole bunch of other features mixed in there over the years.
I saw this deep take on the white shipping containers. She was saying the black dancers in the containers could also represent the black culture that Drake is exporting from the black community. Just furthering the colonialism narrative
Someone on Twitter said that the perspective of the family in the apartment is from a security camera. Insinuating that if Drake is spying on his family all he’ll see is them dancing and playing
i also saw somewhere that in the pushups scene kendrick does 17 pushups then stops then continues to do the 18th one alluding to that drake grooms 17 year old girls then dates them once they turn 18 adding to drake being a pedo idk how true that is but it can be possible
I said this but didn’t want to seem thirsty 🤣🤣.I always thought he was cute..His walk & smile is everything but baby he looking real snackish out here 🥴
Bro I kinda knew about Drake lying about Dave Free being the father of Kendrick's son because Kendrick son looks exactly Like Kendrick and nothing like Free ....
People think there’s some kind of symbolism or meaning also in why his face is so relaxed or mono tone. Maybe it means he didn’t want to do this to him. Maybe it means he’s unbothered. Maybe it means this is easy to him and he don’t gotta break a sweat or do much. Idk but most reaction to the video I see people asking why he look bored or sleepy in majority of the scenes but eh I think it could be meaning in that as well.. because Kendrick is predominantly ALWAYS facially expressive and animated in his music videos. Kendrick is a Gemini and I’m a Cancer. We are VERY expressive in everything we do even if we’re doing the bare minimum it means something 😏😈 lol
I know I'm supposed to be all in the details of the video.. but sis.. your hair is gorgeous and you made me wanna sit down in the chair and get it done for the rest of the summer, lol. Here I go being all distracted, lol.
Seeing pictures of Drake from Michael Rubin’s 4th of July white party really puts into perspective what you said in your last patreon video. Drake looks noticeably stressed and tired
9:58 Facts! But is it selfish to say I DO want Drake to respond again simply for the fact we’ll get MORE Kendrick lol? Realistically though, Drake will make solo music again at some point. Should he respond/ continue the beef or should he just leave it alone?
Kendrick has been so strategic with all his releases. Like his timing is impeccable. Releasing a new album in the next couple of weeks while the hype is up 🤌
Aubrey did use bots.... Didn't help. Lol, the dude on Aks show (which has been proven incorrect) said Kendrick got 30 million from bots..... But the song has over 100 million streams.... So what about the rest?
i never didnt like drake its just his actions he did with young people, also all young money fans from drake and nicki fans are heavily in denial that their fave got some problems
ALSO The scene with his family, they used black and white filter with a fish eye lens to emulate a hidden camera/CCTV footage, as if they're being spied on
4:44 top’s split was 50/50 because he funded Kendrick’s career without an immediate impact. So it was a return on investment and he had to negotiate his way out of it and it was handled like grown men do. Drake is owned by UMG . They signed a contract with him worth over $400 million which is unheard of but they really thought the6 could control black folks in such a manner. It’s telling of how much negativity he’s had over the culture and his influence over women who birthed the little menaces who are running the streets committing crimes now. These people are trying to get the lifestyle Drake promotes
I can't believe he didn't really point a lot of things in the pushup scene 1.In drake's diss he said something like when Kendrick's done with the pushup he looks up to a picture of him that's why in Kendrick song there is a picture facing the wall😂 2.A even bigger point is if u count Kendrick's pushups he does 17 and stops referencing how drake's into minors and doesn't like them past 18 Anyways loved the vid and love u dee❤
Dave and Kendrick really thought about everything lol 10:46 Baka is the one that was arrested for human trafficking. And Whitney is using a Wife Beater lol
6:54 i was also wonderin if that was supposed to be drake lmaoo even better that hes actively referencing it too 12:52 nah it looks like an owl lmfao whats surprising is the cage
I keep hearing people saying things like they “didn’t expect” Kendrick to have double & triple entendres and it honestly confuses me, I never thought for a second that Drake would win in a rap battle against Kendrick even before all the diss tracks came out. If you have common sense you know who the better rapper is..
the reason they keep trying to make the "bots" narrative stick is because that's how they're used to drake winning rap beefs. not off lyrical ability or actual rapping and strategy. just off of who gets more numbers. THAT is what's killing drake and the ovo family. that kendrick stepped into his hitmaking lane and triumphed. they thought they'd be able to say drake won on the metric of numbers, but they can't even do that anymore.
I just got took down a rabbit hole on TikTok they saying Beyonce and Drake got beef and that Beyonce and Kendrick been in cahoots since the America Has A Problem Remix.
Someone brought up the fact that Whitney was wearing a wife beater when she was dancing with Kendrick. That's another way of him putting an end to the "wife beater" rumors.
I agree with you Dee. Drake shouldn't say shit. As a matter of fact, he should just go back to putting out hits that have NOTHING to do with this beef. Or better yet, go back to acting since he's been acting like anyone OTHER than himself for years.
888/ 808,a summer drop that's gone ride into the new year. The man said 'head shots for the year, you better walk around like Dafpunk' Drake is the mole in the whack-a-mole game. Every time he pops out something bad gone happen all 2024.
Real will always over come fake. Drake is a good entertainer but he doesn’t represent hip hop or rap. He run has been great but his fans arent really rap fans. Kendrick has been authentically a rapper and dominated. Truthfully he has just been a real nigga and that’s the difference between the 2 parties.
