Very nice Louie! The reason why there's Pontiac motor parts in your kit is because it shares parts trees from the MPC 76-77 Pontiac Ventura which shares the Nova body shell and most components
That came out as a very very nice Nova Louie. Great color for that car with the black stripes stripes. Window trim came out very good and neat. Top Build this month.
That clear coat came out great, the build came out very nice. This is my favorite body style Nova, too. I am a former Missourian, too! Always enjoy your videos, thanks.
Fantastic looking Nova with great detail work. I believe that kit was originally the Pontiac Ventura until it was retooled as the Chevy Nova for the 1977 model. I guess that would explain the Pontiac engine components. Regardless it's nice to see kits such as this Nova representing that era.
Another great build. Perfect color combo. I like how you add some personal note to the build like how the engine is probably a Pontiac and not a Chevy. Your knowledge of the cars are very interesting.
Great build! I remember in 1987, my 5th grade teacher had a white one with a rusty dent in one of the doors. I also remember a fellow classmate in high school had a blue 77 model. Thanks for sharing! 😊
I am glad to see headlights were included on the decal sheet, as well as the gauges. I remember this era of Novas becoming high school hot rods too you really triggered a memory for me. Now I want to build this one.
Love the color choice - I was wondering what color you would choose when you did the unboxing. I actually have an AMT '68 El Camino in my collection painted in the same color with the black stripes from a Chevelle model.
Looks sharp. How was the chassis fitment to the body? I've had to modify all the MPC re-released kits to have positive fitment of those two components. Chassis fitment is too loose many times.
Louie, where do you find the Dupli-color 1k clear? Been running around trying to find it on a shelf but the usual places don’t seem to have dupli-color on them at all.
