This is a very good idea bro Iv seen it here first. From start to finish, I hope other RU-vidrs start doing this as well rather than all the builds that just never get watched again, some of us wouldn’t mind watching longer videos, pin 📌 it lol….keep up the great content Chris 😎
@@Chris_Slix lol thanks for pinning it, you might as well get paid for all the hard work you do. Rather than all the good content going to waste, it’s more likely someone that’s already watched the videos will watch it again all together as one upload, then go back and watch it one at a time 🕰️ if that makes sense lol 😂, I definitely will watch it again because I have come to to watch other videos Iv already seen lol 😂, keep up the great work 👌🏼👌🏼
How freaking cool is this to see the whole process from start to finish! Thanks for the whole walk through! I though you were going to break this up into a 6 month production but so happy you didnt :)
I had a black 2009 Audi Audi Roadster with the 2.0 Turbo and I absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, once it hit around 80k miles, it started completely falling apart, and for some reason it’s super expensive to buy parts and get work done on an Audi in the States. Ended up trading for a 2015 BRZ. I miss it sometimes, especially with that turbo, but it was such a cash sink to maintain. Plus the soft top shrunk and separated from the back windshield and was an estimated $1500 to fix. I didn’t even like the soft top. If I could redo it, I would have held out for a TTS. They look so much cooler than the Roadster IMO. Oh, also 2 months into having it, my key got trapped in the ignition and the only way I could turn the car off was to get into the trunk and disconnect the battery, but i had already pulled out the starter fuse, and disconnect the battery I figured out there’s a manual release cable in the trunk, and I had to use a broom and fish out the handle. Once I could finally grab it, all I had to do was pull hard and it would open the trunk.” I drove around like that for 2 months before I finally got it fixed, because it was a $700 repair and I had just moved across the country with absolutely nothing to start a new job. So every time I got into my car, I would manually open the trunk with the cable, go to the trunk and re-connect the negative terminal to my battery, and then my car would automatically turn on since the key was stuck in the on position, and I could twist it to start the engine. Then when I had to turn it off, I’d have to first park, pop the trunk, pull the fuse out, disconnect the battery, and leave it like that till I had to get back in. The reason I had to do this with the fuse is because if I disconnected the battery without removing the fuse, the car would basically lock me out from starting. It was such a pain in the ass. 😂
I knew next to nothing about automotive mechanic work at the time. If I knew what I know now, I would have fixed it myself. The part alone was $400 and I had to take it to a licensed German car repair place and was charged $300 for 3 hours of labor. 🥲
I am from trinidad and Tobago I watch all your videos I learn alot it's so shocking crash damage vehicles are so cheap in the UK I love your tastes in colours for your rebuilds, the wheels you choose am one of your biggest fans I look forward to every new project that you have on your list. Keep up the good work you're the best.
I just bought a 2001 Audi TT roadster. It’s the most fun car I’ve ever driven, I absolutely love it. The design of the exterior and interior is art. I’ll own it forever. I wanted it since senior year of High School (2001). I’ve unfortunately owned a Porsche Boxster, the Audi TT is definitely better. Audi TT and TJ/YJ Jeep Wrangler. These two are the best vehicles and generation for the model without question and I will own them forever.
Love how you’ve stuck all these videos together Chris- Good move and enjoying it 😎😁🙏🏻 Keep up the great work and didn’t realise you was fairly local to me in Leicester!🤙🏼
Enjoyed that. Car looks good. Gearbox awesome. Good power delivery too. Nigel and that pinderwagon is a beast too. Faster than i expected in a straight line that.
I actually rate this doing it all mashed together. Keep it going for each build. I’m looking forward to the 3hour RS6👀🤣. Hurry up and do the UK’s cheapest RS6 now!🙏🏻🤣
I hope you are well! Keep up the good work mate, love the coloured wrap! You make it seem so easy though! Got to hook up yourself with a lifter, so no more laying on the bare floor! Thumbs up and subscribed!
Perfect video! From start to finish to next life. Very good and subtle decisions you made with what parts you changed. Nice to see it rise from the death. Also nice for you to see it by your buddy. A happy video! Thanks!
Nice one Chris the video was brilliant from start to finish👍 it’s amazing how a bit of hard work can turn a burnt out Audi TT to a nice looking one. Well done mate great job. 👍
The TTS would look sick with a black enamel wrap. The matte blue doesn't work me, but each to his own. The wheels came out looking great. Overall, great job restoring the TTS
Well done! I’m sure someone else already told you but just buy yourself a set of extractors or E Z outs to remove broken off screws and bolts. Super simple that way 👍
Ah mate, I am here via other youtube channels and I am really glad this one came up. That was a really good watch, seeing that whole lot happen in one episode. Between yourself, MattA, Tavarish and Saving_Salvage you all make my commute much more tolerable. It is making me want to buy my next toy car from copart 🤣 Keep up the gd work 👍🏼
This is a really interesting video! I love it. I bought an audi TT for roughly the same price, and unfortunately it turned out to be... not as described. The dealer promised to fix it, he didn't. He promised to refund me, he didn't. And then he promised me some money back for repairs, which also never materialised. It has been almost a year of absolute hell and limbo, but I'm ready to start the new year and get down to business, and this video has given me some info to use
Hi! Great Video!!! Do you maybe know if it is possible to remove the washerfluid bottle without removing the wing/sideskirt? I liked the black on black really much
What downpipe did you use? Thinking if doing this to mine but was worried about it sounding like a tractor and drowning, bug this one seems to sound good
Can I say I'm a new subscriber but love the video atm good job mate and hopefully much more to come and was great it was a start to finish video I think it was great 👍
Man, she was a wreck. You guys did a great job repairing this tt. It looks fantastic now! Ps: the "dripping clocks" painting wasnt Warhol, it was Dali. Regardless, awesome job! Just saw the text saying it was Dali not warhol. Missed it initially...my bad!
Great video, I enjoyed it Why did you change the gears sticks and went thru all that trouble? The trim panel is detachable, you can just swap it with another one in a few seconds or even wrap it in film to change colour like I did.
Much respect for all the hard work you put into that rebuild. I'm also so impressed with how you could source parts so inexpensively. 8J TTs are very rare here in NB, Canada. About the only place you can source used body parts is through Ebay in the US. They are still expensive and the costs for shipping are quite substantial. I am astounded that the downpipe yielded such an increase in horsepower. If I understand correctly, you eliminate the cat and resonator. Doesn't that throw a CEL and code? Also, because that mod makes the car pollute a lot more, I don't believe that it would pass our strict provincial motor vehicle inspections. How do you get around the smog tests? I would figure that the UK would have even more air pollution restrictions than here in Canada. I wasn't keen on the blue color when you started, but the car turned out sharp in the end. My favourite mods were the ceiling, steering wheel cover and the aftermarket headunit. I would love to find one that seamlessly works with the Audi CPU and offers a backup camera. The factory headunit looks dated and absolutely sucks in comparison. Keep up the great work!
For trim I always start by ordering replacment clips so it's not do or die when they inevitably snap. But also I watch at least 5 or 6 people do it first so I van learn from their mistakes
Finally a use for the millions of Asda bags I've got in the kitchen drawer 😂😂 earnt a sub just for that. Very satisfying video mate. I love these cars, used to think they were just for hair dressers but there isn't any other car in its class that ls better. Great choice of engines too I'd settle for a diesel or petrol.
The rear doesn't have coilovers it's just a shock and spring that is separate. When they are together that makes it a strut then the after market is coilovers I think I explained that right LoL great video
Excellent video. I started this same process on my mk1 TT but then someone vandalized it and I chose to just part out what was left. Now I’m back in the market to start all over with a mk2 or mk3 tts. 👍🏼🍻
CSL BOOOTLIDDDD Mtec Rearbumper and carbon diffuser finished in dragon blood red wrap, there’s just no other wrap that’s close to being as sick.. Orrrr Black? Blacks always badass
Don't forget to buy a spare engine for it while you're at it. Mate purchased a used one, stage 2, tuned... managed to get 50 km's out of it before piston 4 decided to leave the chat =))
I may give advice to Audi TT owners... Look after cambers, if you ignored later then facing a rear subframe replacement and wholes arms, Soo. Get to Kwfit and look for alignment after New tyres on car... You'll also feel so soft driving.
