At Positive Fields, we developed a method for creating full color thermoformed parts using a combination of 3d scanning, Blender 3D, and a custom engineered method of distortion mapping. This demo was shown at Printing United 2019 in Dallas at the Mimaki USA booth. The piece was printed using Mimaki's stretchable ink technology. The thermoforming machine used in the demo is a Formech 508FS.
