We're in East Texas. We had some clouds but the sun peeked out enough to get to see all phases of it. It was so dark. Most incredible thing to witness. Now we hunker down and pray that these storms don't do any damage. Thanks for sharing your experience! God bless.
So glad you shared your view. I'm in South-Central Texas and we were totally cloud covered, couldn't see a thing, but it did get pretty dark ... the birds went to bed and the frogs came out. I'm over 60, so not sure I'll see the next one, but I did get to see the annular last year
Absolutely stunning and gorgeous events. The heavens do indeed declare. I was on a college campus and it was amazing that when we were at totality, everyone went quiet. (I wasn't sure what the reaction would be.)
That was great Jill! I saw the 2017 in Tennessee. It was something you have to experience to understand how amazing it feels. That light you saw could have been the “Devils comet”. It was supposed to be visible during the eclipse. So glad u you ou got to experience it.
Awesome!! I had tears when I saw it. I have no clue why it affected me like that, but it was amazing. Found out i wasn't the only one who did that either. Great video.
Wow!!! Jill that was awesome to see. I appreciate you sharing this eclipse with your subscribers as not everyone will be able to experience it. It's amazing when the sun gets blocked what happens to the temp and the reaction of the animals. I pray all those who have seen this eclipse in full totality understand that God is speaking to us and asking the United States to repent. We are north and west of Fort Worth. We didn’t get quite as dark but I said it looked like thunderstorms too. And our neighbors barn light also came on. Really neat!
It got really dark , the sun was out and then the clouds covered it up here in Montgomery County, Texas. Im in willis, texas its still dark ,but Thank you Mrs.jill for sharing . God bless you 🙏. We are wanting to drive up to Itasca ,Texas on a Saturday to go to an amish bulk store , we went to a small one in Montgomery, Texas on sunday - she isnt amish and had no butter due to what our government has done to that amazing family . So we want & need to make the drive or the one in Kemp,Texas there is 2 in Texas , not just the lil store we went to yesterday, Im hoping your around one of them , I will email you as Id love to come meet you & get some veggies from you . Our eclipse was supposed to occur at 2:02pm but was uneventful due to the clouds. So thank you again for allowing me to experience your eclipse with you 🌞🌙
Here in Houston the sky's have been horrible with clouds and has been dark all morn. Your sky's are nice and blue. I would have been upset if I would have traveled to Houston to see the eclipse. Stay safe hope your weather doesn't get bad. I know Dallas weather is always worse than Houstons. Your vegetables are absolutely gorgeous as usual.
We spent the afternoon with our daughter her husband and our two grandkids to experience this eclipse. We were fortunate to see it in full with clouds opening up for us to experience. We were up in Florence on our daughter's 100 acres where they are building. Our 10 acres is just to the east of them where we will build in the future. It was fun to see our how grandkids 7 and 3 enjoyed viewing and see it occur. 183 south was busy after it was over. Spent the last 3 days transplanting 100 tomatoe plants in our garden ground. Planted with Blood meal, bone meal and cracked egg. Followed up with a compost and garden soil mix to fill the hole around them.
We are about 100 miles north of you. There was a drop in temperature and you could tell it was darker. Not like your house. Thank you for sharing. The animals were funny. Even the dogs were like what is going on.

I was thinking of you and your channel Funny . I watched the NASA live but it was always filtering out by lens the ski so everything looked always dark . That white light I think was Venus at the corner . Your tomatoes look wonderful . I hope things are going good take care .
My kids snapped several shots of solar eclipse in their phones. The sheep kept grazing, but the roosters were crowing and the goats headed for the barn until after eclipse. Here in Spicewood, Texas we were on same timeline. I think traffic will pick up tremendously. The Solar Eclipse Festival at Reveille Peak Ranch near Burnet, Tx is encouraging the 40,000 people/5,000 vehicles to start moving out. Tornado watch here.
45 minutes North of you, the Sun was completely blacked out and we had total darkness! The little flare of light at the bottom of the Sun was explained as a solar flare. It was very different and fun.
I am in Corsicana. The clouds were moving by so sometimes the sun was blocked and other times you could see it. My office has no windows but I do have a door going outside so I was setting my alarm so I could run out and look. Closer to time of totality I just left the door open so I could see. Well, I was so engrossed in my work that I thought it was thunderclouds gathering, making it dark outside and I even said to myself, dang it, the clouds are not going to let us see the eclipse! Then I realized IT WAS THE ECLIPSE!!! I almost missed it thinking it was about to rain! It was a spectacular site! I saw the flare and 2 planets! Now it's getting cloudy. We are in for another weather event!
We had a great view. The clouds broke up and we saw most of it. We were amazed at how quiet and still everything became. Then the coyotes started up. Very memorable experience!
Wonderful! We only had 50% But, something happened here that we were not expecting. SKEETERS, They swarmed me like I have never seen. There were so many around my legs, to the point I had to run inside, swatting the whole way. As soon as full sun was back, they were gone!
Here in Southern California the eclipse was barely noticeable. There was a little haziness to the light, but we did not get much coverage, maybe 25% if that. Thanks for sharing!
I was able to experience totality during the August 2017 eclipse here in Se Nebraska. It was pitch BLACK where I lived at that time. It was amazing. The lights ruin it.
Everything looks great. Lost you for a bit. We just got to looking like,twilight. Enough to cause street lights to activate. Glad you had a good trip. The lightening is terrible. I can see thru the blinds. Seems at time to light my room. Scary. Glad you were spared. This cedar fever is killing me!! I'm miserable with runny nose, eyes, cough. I've been taking my goldenrod tonic, I think it is bringing stuff up. It tastes terrible, but supposed to help allergies. Going to try to can roast tomorrow. I got 8 pints of roast beef done today. So good to see you again. I'm dealing with cedar fever and it's kicking my rear end!! I can't sleep much. I'm exhausted. Taking 2,Claritin but doesn't seem to do much good. I keep pushing but tomorrow I'm staying in bed!!! During the eclipse, I just burst out crying!! No reason!!! It was amazing!!
