Dude thank you so much for not dragging out this video. Just because it is a whole day of eating video doesn’t mean it has to be 15 min long. Other youtubers need to follow suit
Love it! Three of my uncles were body builders in the late 70's and 80's this is how they taught me to eat. They were all raised on a farm, so there was nothing but the basic staples. Solid info Pete.
@FREE Hell yes, I worked on that baby every summer til I was 15. One funny thing I remember about my uncles were, they always had a tooth brush everywhere they went and would brush their teeth after every meal. Jacked and tan with pearly white teeth. 🤣
Good info. No swearing or cracking inappropriate jokes. I can watch your vids while my kids are around me thank God! Someone was raised right. Keep up the good work and stay focused. ✊🏾✌🏾
@@worldneedslovecoach Greg literally preached the opposite of what this guy preaches, Greg also sells snake oil like turkestron and tells his fans not to bulk or cut lmao
White bread, fruit juice, pastuerised milk.. love it! Will definitely gain weight, whether that will be muscle not entirely sure. A lot of water and intramuscular fat as well I suspect. Most of the golden era guys from Gold's at least were on a low carb, moderate fat and higher protein regime most of the time with cheat days thrown in on Sundays.
I’d find it interesting/entertaining to see a background video on you. Athletic history, how you got into bodybuilding etc. Just a thought. Maybe you’ve already done it.
this is what im talking about so simple and nice some people think you need to consume protein powder to get protein in but eating fresh and whole food is much better and healthier
You have the carbs and fats backwards for 60s and 70s. Protein and mostly fats, low carb. You must have a unique metabolism etc for it to work for you.
Awesome video, simple, clean foods that are easy to prepare that anyone can do. Also, there are so many places where you could substitute to add more calories for a bulk. Thanks for all of the great content from Strong Island!
No vegetables or legumes whatsoever? Thinking salads here... Tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, [Cubanelle] pepers, cauliflower, brocoli, lettuce, corn etc. plus good old olive oil, cheese, olives, pees, chickpeas, baby spinach, crumbled bacon, mayo/dressing and so forth... Now I'm hungry!!
I am new to your page. I love this style. I am 53 and I remember reading all the old school M&F, Ironman and Flex mags. I love the old school BB style. I haven't been in the gym in 20 yrs and I am trying to get back at it. I can't find anything on old school training and eating style. Do you have any programs that are available?
Crazy timing. I've been doing a full body 3x/week routine for a few months and have been feeling lethargic and weak recently. I checked my sleep, electrolytes, etc. but today decided to add up how many calories I've been eating. Turns out, despite thinking I was eating a lot... only 1600-1700/day! Went straight out and bought some milk to drink instead of water and going to add a fourth meal in every day. Despite being built for running I WILL keep trying to pack on mass lol
Gonna do his arm program in coming weeks, and then get the mass program. I can't eat the amount of carbs as one normally do as i need to lose excess fat but i will adjust best i can
I've Gotta keep up with this consistency sorry Pete 😅 please do a video on when you think somebody should bulk or cut going into more detail than just what bodyfat percentage they are. Many thanks 😁
56 G protein in first meal… how? Eggs are usually 6/7 each, x3.. 8 g in each glass so x2.. that’s 35ish. I don’t see nutritional value in white bread or orange juice or blueberries. Not trying to give you a hard time, just curious where and how you came to these conclusions. I’m trying to determine a value on my diet but without the hard #% I go by feeling/intuition.. but that’s not always easy to gauge.
The glasses are more than likely 16oz rather than 8oz. So doing 16g of protein per cup brining it up to 32g + 18~ g from eggs (if assuming 6g per egg) brings it up to 50g. Not exact but definitely closer to the figure he displayed.
Awesome Video bro 👏 😎 You Should most Def post more Nutrition Videos. I admire & respect the approach You take in all your Bodybuilding philosophy. Simple, to the Point, Effective. Old school Mass is the best Mass. No Doubt 🧢. Todays fitness is a whole bunch of Bullshit and they fitness “ gurus “ know it. Overly complicated puke to sell products. When it really is not complicated to build a Solid Physique. From workouts to the Nutrition you got the OG mindset locked it. Glad to see there’s still hope in Seeing ppl who understand, respect and Value the Old school Approach. 💯🔥💪
This is low fat. No a Single sportsman in the 60s or 70s was eating low fat. Make the lean parts fullfat and add some butter and cream and this will be real oldschool dieting. But the Main components habe been and will stay the essence of good nutrition: whole foods. I like your Look. Pretty natural and strong.
Where are the 56g of protein coming from with the breakfast meal 16g protein milk 18g protein eggs That's 34g protein Not being a hater just wondering your macro count
Love the short no nonsense videos, hey Pete how old are you if you don't mind me asking? I'm 44 and just wondered if you plan to stick with the heavy lifting through your 40's/50's or plan to scale it back?
When I was younger all my meals shakes took whole milk the basic ingredient as I got older my body said no more now I have lactose tolerance . But there's loopholes plenty of over-the-counter stuff to help you substitute milk 👍 put me back in the game
I am 48 now ,a stop eating regular bread ,just brown sometimes. Bread is poison ! Trimming waist line from 39 to 34 inch get wider back . You do not take any Protein powder or Creatine ? I like old school training , speaking supersets are the best chest & Back my favourite , Greta pump
awesome!!! If you wanna lean down a bit do you keep these meals the same and just cut bread and increase protein and fat? keeping calories same?? or do you eat this but just LESS?? THANKS SO MUCH!!!
56g of protein for that breakfast? 3 whole eggs are 18g protein, lets consider 17g protein for the milk (don't know how much is 2 cups of milk), the toasts, blueberries and orange juice don't have much protein at all...that's short for 56g of protein :\
I still can't afford it guys (our country is in a huge inflation and food crisis 😔) but one day I will. Until then, I don't mind overworking and undereating. Let's keep striving! 💪🏻
How is whole milk only one gram of fat For your second meal of the day. I wanna copy to see how it works for me but its hard to keep my fat low. One glass of milk is like 8 grams of fat
Butter is not like every other dairy because it lacks the membrane that other forms of dairy have. Which means that butter raises cholesterol and is overall not health promoting. Any other form of dairy is considered health-promoting, just not butter. For more info, go to barbell medicine.
Hi Can you make a full video in "Premchand Degra" workout routine he win Mr. Univers 1988 without steroids and suppliment. And he have extremely good physique.
Your protein calculations are sooo way off and wrong. 56g of protein from 3 eggs, 2 cups of milk and 4 slices of toast? That's 45g of protein tops 2nd meal isn't even reaching 30g of protein. 4th meal that's 50g of protein. So that'd be around 220g of protein a day at the very best
Has anyone proven how much protein can be digested per meal?.... for over 50 years i always heard 30 grams .which never made sense to me... i never counted calories or weighed my meals...but i am sure along with eating the right foods its would have increased my gains....
