Many thanks for this video Jim the detail you go to in all your videos inspires many of us home detailers, and to go through the full explanation of a white detail was a very enjoyable video. Any more explanations like this or how tos are very welcome! And if I can request one would be how you go about selecting polishes, pads and sets etc when starting a different car. Many thanks again for the hard work.

I REALLY, REALLY enjoyed this as a narration video. Definitely spoil us with this kind of format when you can. I saw your editing picture, so I know this took a long time. You and Terry did a great job on this Mercedes. I'm slowly learning the right ways to polish all black cars, and it's way more difficult than I thought it was going to be. Why do you pressure wash the dirt from those grids by the wipers? You're just pushing it in to the drainage channels. You should vacuum it out! I cringed there. You'll cause blockages.

Hi Jim, firstly love your videos, think your channel is great. I wanted to highlight to you the jet washing of the engine bay or specifically the windscreen drain on the drivers side of all Mercedes models. The fuse Box unit is under that windscreen drain and your jet washing it. The seal on it is rubbish, my drain got blocked with leaves and water just overflowed onto that fuse box when it rained and I had water ingress electrical fault as a result, so it will not withstand jet wash pressure. I had to replace the fuse box which was over a grand on my 2012 model. Just wanted to let you know as I would hate for people to be caught out with the same issue, as it really is a merc design fault putting the fuse box directly under an area where water flows. Keep up the great content,

Also you're not supposed to pressure wash the engine bay. I don't understand. You're wetting things that shouldn't be getting wet. The starter motor... The electrics...

And where else would you go, that malodorous runt, Obsessed Garage, or AMMO, which is so detailed it bores the enthusiasm for the subject out of you and most of it is about his products. This guy is the gold standard for detailing, end of... Stop the whingeing fella and appreciate the effort he puts in. You think he makes much out of monetising his content, or gets a bundle of referrals. Probably not, he wants to share what he does with people who may have an interest in looking after their care..

Jim, I like the content in this vid to be honest, if you could find a mix between the 2 formats I'll send you over a pint! On a side note, 2 questions, did you use fallout remover on the body panels or just tar remover? Saw you used it on the wheels alright but you spoke about getting fallout with the clay bar. Also, for washing engine bay, obviously best to have engine cool, however do you keep it running during the rinse stages or what way do you work that? Many thanks for all the vids

I've been looking forward to this 👍 Two things Jim......can't see the listing for the Snowfoam that you're using. Also, I've regularly seen you push the wing mirror back on itself to improve access. This must be safe or you wouldn't do it, but how do you know which cars it's safe to do this on? Great video again. Impressive work guys 😁

Hi Jim, I'm Leo Magana fro San Antonio Texas. Hope your all keeping safe from the Virus. I have a W210 2001 in mint condition and even though I'm disabled, I am the ONLY ONE that details my car, with a level of distress inspired by you, if I used that word correctly. LOL. My question is the use of clay versus a mitt. Do you NOT recommend a clay mitt?

Absolutely STELLAR work! Especially on a black car - the colour of which only looks this good when it's new in the showroom OR here at White Details : ) Unfortunately that lovely "look" will last oh maybe 10 minutes? (ok slight exaggeration : ) but really, black and other similarly dark colours may look elegant but a real pain to keep looking this good. Congratulations on SUCH FINE detailing!!!

Jim - not to teach you to suck eggs - have you considered Silvero for doing the exhaust tips? It is a lot less abrasive than wire wool - but it's still a very powerful stain remover. If it's good enough for HRH Betty Windsor... Its the sister product to Brasso - obviously Silvero for the chrome work. www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=silvero&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 Then seal using your C.C. Platinum Wheels.

Sorry mate, but I’m only 5:41 into your video and already I disagree with your methods. Why on earth would you introduce that much water into the engine bay? Also, I’m pretty sure that you have filled the cabin with a layer of moisture from all that jet washing of the door shuts, sills and hinges. Not to mention all the residual mist from the chemicals you spray all over the place. Not ideal in my opinion. I’ll keep watching though as I’m curious as to how you tackle other areas.. Edit: watched the whole video. It’s a decent lengthy video so well done for putting together a pretty comprehensive account of the detail. The detail was thorough although not completely encompassing. Regarding the tailpipes, it is possible to cut the stainless down on the lips of each tailpipe to remove the pitting.

This year (2021) I have detailed 7 AMG Mercedes. 4 of them have had paint defects seemingly from the factory, paint runs and sanding marks under the clear coat layer. 2 of them had these defects and the cars were new, they had less than 1000 miles on them. The other 2 were still less than a year old and all their owners said they had not being repaired. Interestingly Mercedes in all cases have been less than helpful.

Great tips on doing the door jams. I have the same car so this helps me a lot. I noticed you're using Menzera (I'm guessing HCC 400). I didn't know they made a VOC-free version. That's great! Thanks again for everything you do. You taught me a lot in 2018! I also like this new format as well. It provides a little more details. I've found with the older vids I still learned a lot, but often I'd have to rewind a lot listen to all you said before you did it. But hey, I'm a slow learner...

hi jim,did you use a high ph soap (10) to wash the car or a ph balanced (7)?,i notice when i wash the cars with high ph soap that my clay bar is A LOT cleaner after claying the surface.feel like a it remove those contaminants that turns the clay dark and leave it with just the embeded contamination.thanks for you videos help me a lot on my shop,

$2000 is less in £. His White Detail is the signature, which is everything, i imagine it's not far off 3 grand + depending on what he's worked out with a client. Each car is different most of the time so..

Any apprenticeship available? Im about to qualify as a nurse but I love cars, detailing, servicing them and.......drive them:)) Theres a huge potential in my area for a shop like yours but do not have the funds to try and see how it goes. I would love to learn first and maybe offer mobile service for now and then expand into othet things like yours. I think I have some kind of OCD and my attention to details is incredible. I know I could have regular customers and build up on number of clients. I just dont know where to start. Subcribed:D
