Running VB trains at an average speed of less than 120 kmph is a big waste of money. The train's capability is being under utilized. Gatiman Express can do the job.

Point 1 producing VB trains is easier than increasing the section speed Point 2 the India railways are moving towards engine less trains for high speeds trains like shatabdi or gatimaan, so soon in future there will be no shatabdi or durontos, will be replaced by VB express 3 VB express is Memu type so it accelerates and decelerates faster, meaning there is time save plus it is not bothered by increase in number of coaches, a wap 7 or a wap 5 pulling 12-20 coaches and maintaining average 110 is not easy buy VB will easily do. Point 4 so having VB rakes and then upgrading the tracks is easier than upgrading the tracks and then manufacturing VB or making the present lhb coach to run at 130 with 18 odd coach is not easy or it's dangerous Point 5 gatimaan is faster because it has limited 8 coaches, and the track is 160 capable and the load on the wap 5 is less Point 6 by running VB in every sections to gather data for future and also due to people pressure, the VB in coimbatore section is fast and useful but in madurai it's not that much but still does it in 7.5 hours, I believe a lhb can do the same unless the number of coaches are reduced and wap 5 is introduced here

Based on new schedule there won't be any overtake by VB from madurai to chennai route, same such arrangement need to be done from chennai to madurai route to avoid passenger discomfort. SR will think , If such change happen passenger must appreciate SR. HOPE FOR BEST🎉

Actually both direction overtake is possible because TIRUNELVELI chennai vb reaches egmore at 13:50 but Madurai Chennai vaigai reaches only at 14:10 hrs

I too personally feel Vaigai shouldn't be overtaken. Not just as a fanboy of the train since early Toaster days just by looking at the facts and possibilities it can be done. Nothing more frustrating as a passenger than being held up for longer durations in a premier legendry superfast train. Disappointed !

I think vaigai would be given preference between mambalam and chennai egmore and can reach egmore by 1 45 itself (25 minutes before time)since vande bharat has a tight schedule and reaches late by 10 minutes often and same happens in return journey it reaches 15 minutes before time at madurai due to slack provided

Vaigai(12636) cannot reach egmore at 1.45 since the vaigai 12635 would not have departed platform 4 till 1.50. Always vaigai/pallavan is given platform 4 and would prefer its at platform 4 always.

I heard that Chennai Egmore - Villupuram section to be made 130 MPS for now there will be reduced in train timings in near future. There is a plan for increasing speed of tracks from Chennai Egmore - Dindugal JN to be 130 MPS by section by section.

The same was said for Chennai Jolarpettai section ( 130 Kmph fit now ) but there is no major reduction in time of train running. Infact some train schedule has increased now.

@@NatarajanC12119 Chennai Central - Arakkonam section have 3 VB running. So it clashing with other trains timetable. Why Railways giving more preference to VB. Even VB is given more preference than Duronto/Rajdhani in North.

More and more vande bharat trains are introduced regular priority trains are going to get affected..railways can instead speed up exisiting trains... There is no need for additional trains when we dont have the required infrastructure and platform capacity And ncs one general comment..12636 cannot enter egmore.platform 4 untill 12635 departs which is only after 1.50pm. I dont think theyll reallot platform as usually vaigai pallavan combo departs 4 platform always.... And 12635 vaigai cannot depart after vande bharat at 3pm becos in a gap of 45mins at 345pm pallavan departs..initial.days vaigai wasnt able to complete to complete return journey on time before night the rake sharing concept between vaigai and pallavan came in..if they are changing or making vaigai start even late then rake sharing doesnt make sense and vaigai can go as vaigai and pallavan as pallavan.....

Already our Trainfan South Zone from Mayiladuthurai made video on this and Vaigai is made to wait at TPJ for 45 minutes. There is no other way except to disturb Vaigai because SR runs most fewest daily trains in this main trunk route of Kanyakumari Egmore with just 2 slots only i e 6.30 AM to 9.15 AM 3 trains, 2PM to 3 PM one train only, and night slot starts from departure of Pallavan @4PM from EGG. Even same is the slots from TPJ to MS return route. Like ERS Banglr IC, Vaigai and Pallavan are IC roadies and run like a Coromondal but with more stops. SR runs 90% of the trains in 4 PM to 12 midnight slot from Eg or TBM. SR starved this route because rampant TNSTC and private bus operators huge presence from MS to Thanjavur and MS to Tiruchirapalli.

That day vaigai faced some technical issue, why I am telling is on that day VB departed at 6 50 itself why vaigai made to depart only at 7 30 and on next day same thing happened by vaigai departed at 7pm itself

Let Vande Bharat start from Egmore in the morning towards TEN and return to MS at night. Vaigai can retain its old schedule. Why should Vande Bharat, Vaigai and Pallavan all run towards Chennai Egmore in the mornings and return in the evening ? IR or atleast SR always downgrades an existing prestigious train and deranks its priority when a newbie comes be it, Bangalore Day Exp, Brindhavan Exp or now Vaigai Exp. There is no real improvement just a knock down for the existing queen bee.

Well said pallavan was from Ms at 5.45 hrs on Mg days. But the single line was not enough to hold morning/evening rush tonfro Ms. Hence made to start from tpj. This could save the clash

vande bharat YPR to Kacheguda even in bengaluru... the yelahanka station treats vande bharat as shunting train so cheap they make it to pass in loop line @ 15kmph. feel sad..😢 instead they could have given stop at yelahanka station... they are so jealous that only one stop in karnataka let it go like shunting train.. infact goods train will be allowed to pass in main passing line with no stop n fast

It is SCR run VB and being made to run slower single line section in few stretches. It would have run via Mantralayam Road instead Kurnool route.

@@rajanrgYeah. Wadi - Guntakal stretch is 130 kmph fit i.e. a perfect stretch for VB to show its full might. At least they can divert it from Gadwal Jn towards Raichur so that it can join that 130 kmph section.
