Dave's always been a liability, it's beyond me why any Captian would allow him on their boat. Linda seems intimidated by him and that has not gone without notice by the rest of the crew. Maybe it is time for Linda to call it quits. She's gutsy and knows fishing but allowing someone like Dave aboard her boat was a really, really, bad decision...., plus, her "lip action" is that of an elderly person which also makes her decision-making capability questionable.
Dave cursing the sea and always throwing out negative tantrums...First he got electrocuted. Then almost fall from the boat. Next time, It will be his last. You should not challenge the sea... The Sea listens and will act accordingly.
Probably Dave hung over the rail or something. That little pissy girl would be best just left on the dock. I would bet money that he acted like he washed over. Too bad no cameras were on him at the time.

I feel bad for Dave. Earlier in the season they said he's a seasoned fisherman. For him to be acting up then breaking down like this, something has to be happening to him or maybe to his family. I think he needs to go home and figure out what he wants to do. Keep risking his life for big paydays on the sea or go back home and find a safe 9-5 job.
It's 'reality' TV of course, with copious built-in drama, but in real life the good skipper Greenlaw is the one ultimately responsible for making the choice to take deckhand Dave, AKA 'The Cupcake' on as a crew member. She's fished with him before and talked about his questionable work ethic, performance and attitude. Her fault for having to deal with the consequences having that clown aboard. But then, wouldn't surprise me a bit to learn that the TV show producers ultimately made the decision. Drama at sea is paramount with shows like this. :)
I get a vibe that dave crawled over onto the ladder rather than got washed over. What are the odds of getting electrocuted, washed over and catching the ladder, etc etc. Drama queen
Some type of safety device needs to be installed on those pulleys to stop the winch when something gets jammed in the pulley. Its for the safety of the workers
What’s stopping you? Just go to any fishing port nearest to you and put the word out you’re willing to work, the first couple of trips might be low pay, but might workout for you.
