He is not your slave, if you need help with ur illness get you a nurse. But don't marry a convict then keep treating him like one for the rest of his life. First of all, she knew what she was getting into marrying him so playing that victim crap ain’t flying. She’s arrogant, self-centered & disrespectful. She won’t even heed the Judge’s advice. That speaks volumes. She wants credit for holding the brother down while he was in, but can’t take two seconds to see that she’s holding the brother back. I feel for her health issues, but I feel a lot of her stress is self-induced. Idk man...I know he’s locked into this thing, but I feel he would really grow as a person without her. It’s sad. 🤷🏻‍♀️😟

She married him while in prison but wants him to change,at a certain stage in a person's life,they are who they are, especially if they are at a certain age. Realistically she isn't honest with herself ,you can't change a man and i think she probably loves the aspect of manipulating the relationship and controlling him,judging by everything she is infatuated with being in control.

People need to stop confusing love for obligation. Sometimes you feel obligated to a person for them helping you in a time of need but that must not be confused with love. It is a receipt for a toxic relationship or marriage.

Every parent should see this episode. Thank God I taught my children automotive, electrical, plumbing, gardening, cooking, cleaning, law enforcement, banking, chain of government, sewing the basics and most of all respect from a elementary age. So expect this.

She helped him in prison to lock him down and control him when he's out, she doesn't love him she loves herself, she's a classic narcissist using guilt and obligation as a tool to manipulate him into staying and taking her toxic crap. He needs help to end this toxic relationship before she shatters his self-esteem more.

For what reason did she really help him and support him in prison? Seems like she got heavy expectations in a reproach kind of way. "I did this for you so I deserve you doing this much for me." This is not genuine. Understand where the man is at and help him grow. I am afraid she is a setback to his growth. Maybe she will be less stressed if they were separated because it seems like his inability to meet her expectations, when she knew where he was at, is causing her stress. This means the stress is on her. I know you have been in prison very long my brother, but there are many lovely women out there. Once you avail yourself, you will see.

Armchair Psychologist that I am... here's my take: She's been insecure all her life, probably in part due to her fragile health. Deciding that the only man she can trust to not hurt her is one she can control or mold, she finds a man in prison and chooses to put him in debt to herself by investing her time and attention into an immature man in a compromised situation. It was never equal and she always intended to be in the driver's seat. She took advantage of him and jacked herself. After his release, he was unfair to himself by not allowing himself to learn how to take care of himself in the world before binding himself to a woman. He should have "played the field" and learned about women and himself before marrying. Now that she's married him she wants to hold the time and resources she's invested in him over his head. I believe that instinctively she doesn't want him to think for himself or independently mature, because he will see that he cheated himself out of the freedom to choose a mate without a sense of obligation or indebtedness, and also see that she was dishonest and manipulative, and possibly leave her. If they don't have children together, I think they should separate and invest in themselves to become more whole people, just for themselves. Like the Judge said, she really needs some counseling. If he really loves her, I think he should let her go. As long as he's there for her to manipulate there's no reason for her to seek help and even if she never sought help...that's her choice. It doesn't have to be his.

She's 43 and looks like someone's granny and never spent a day in prison so who was REALLY doing hard time cuz she looks rough as HELL! This is clearly a power struggle. He's been in jail for 17 years so she's pretty much been running things. He's been incarcerated so he's had the role of being submissive. Put that together and you have Mr. and Mrs. William's. A lack of respect, sadly. I wish them the best!

The manipulation that this man is enduring is insane. She was so offended at the constructive criticism she received that she behaved as a spoiled brat when she spoke with Nick. I’m pretty sure she uses her illness to manipulate her husband.

One of my church going members married a guy that was in prison. When he got out he gave testimony how he found God and How God sent her to him. They came church and Sunday school together. He join the male choir. Everything looked good from the outside. Fast forward five years they divorced he took a lot from her and needless to say not at the church anymore

Basically he is 38 with the mindset of a teenager due to being in prison for 17 years

This situation makes me feel very sad. I’m not a doctor but she seems to need one. There’s something very unbalanced with her thinking. He’s probably too inexperienced and immature for his age, which should be expected, to realize that he can’t help her. Probably the best thing would be to get away from her. I hope he doesn’t waste too much time. There’s hardly ever a chance to work things out with a person who never thinks their wrong and doesn’t take any accountability for their actions.

She really needs to be quiet! You chose to be his ride or die. But it is and adjustment for individuals to accumulate back into society. I'm a nurse, I get your illness. But marriage isn't about one person's needs! You're selfish! Marriage is give and take. Allow him some time. I personally wouldn't marry and individual incarcerated. Bur to each his own.
