Kickback and Relax as we enjoy the entire SBX Kickback Battle 2021: Loopstation Edition! From the seeding round all the way to the finals, here is everything from this competition!
Give it up for the 8 contestants who have participated in this event! They deserve so much respect for the countless hours of work they've put into learning the new RC-505mkII Loopstation and creating new music just for this competition. I personally wanted Robin to win, I felt his rounds had much more soul to them, but I won't complain about Kristóf winning, as he also did an incredible job, specially in the technical side. So thank you Robin, thank you Kristóf, and most of all thank you Swissbeatbox for giving all these amazing artists a platform for them to share their passion with us.

Awesome event, aside everything i really enjoyed it, big thx to all sbx team involved and the great loopers who participated and made all the incredible music, thx to this i meet new sides of these loopers and now some of them are on my fav list. i really love loop scene and the people involve (without counting some toxic people heh but every platform has that so we just ignore them lol) but besides everything, i think most of the people here are a great community. I didn't even know robin before this kbb, I was like "who is that guy? He's got some nice harmonies but he seems kinda boring" but throughout this entire KBB, he probably became one of my favorite loopers if not the my most favorite, he proved himself so much, with his dope music and the way he used the online format. We reached the end.. damn, what a journey! This competition right here.. my favorite competition ever, I LOVED that online format, the way some people used it amazingly like Robin, the rebattles, the release of the MKII, highest level of looping ever, completely different and unique styles, and battles between one and two devices loopers :) Thank you so much for the SBX team, BOSS and FORTIS for sponsoring it, and for the amazing loopers for spending their time to bless our ears with their incredible music. I'm so glad to be part of this beautiful community, waiting for the premiere and watching the rounds one by one, and stating my opinion in the comments with a bunch of arguments and disagreements, what a fun time. Kristof's rounds were perfect, but Robin's rounds were something else. I don't know how to put it into words, but man, it's the rawness, the emotion. Like Robin wasn't going for the perfect mix or whatever, but went to do his own thing, and for me, his rounds are the most memorable and stood out more than anybody else in this competition.

Gotta love what Robin does, he's very creative and has a great voice...but it was Frosty for me to be honest. Everyone has gone fully vocal in the last couple of years, and Frosty to me is a nice reminder that there's still a place just for hard, dark, and grimy electric beats. Not taking anything away form Robin, just personal preference. I'd turn Frosty's tracks up in the car or add them to my playlist. I enjoy listening to Robins rounds, but I personally wouldn't go adding his stuff to a playlist. Big ups to both though, banger rounds!

An incredible journey, amazing artists pushing each other to the limit and we got to witness some of the best rounds loopstation has ever seen. An almost perfect competition with a sour ending. I love Kristof and his rounds were fantastic, but Robin won that battle. Kristof gave us versatility, but Robin gave us consistency, all his rounds were catchy, emotional, powerful and inspiring. The man looped on a hay farm, on top of a moving car through the woods, on water, walking around his neighborhood, on a hot air balloon, with dancers and a Kristof look a like. Yes that’s all secondary to the actual music, but his music was just as effective, it was the perfect package. Kristof won because there was criteria like this was some sort of test, and there’s no categories for heart, soul and emotion. There was a bonus category which the judges refused to use which is absurd considering most of what Robin did should count for bonus points, specially considering Robin has more creativity and originality than those 3 judges combined, he isn’t a Tik Tok looper thirsty for views and fame, he’s a true musician. Robin changed the loopstation scene forever and won our hearts.

(and now I have to differ and add comments because here begins the toxicity) Yes, that is all secondary to the actual music, (then why did you bring it all up?) Kristóf won because there was criteria like this was some sort of test, and there's no categories for heart, soul and emotion (and seemingly for being a toxic person who cannot truly enjoy music) Let me remind you, that showmanship was a category and yep Robin maxed that out in many cases (that is what he was going for) but I can totally see where Saro's judgement comes from. I won't even comment on the nonsense that you say about the judges... just straight up disrespectful. I saw your comments earlier and you just acted like an arrogant prick beating your chest that you predicted everything correctly so far.
