Agreed. I Fenty is a bit more flashy “adult,” and it feels like Rare Beauty is the younger “natural look makeup” sister.

I used to live in TX, and was a dog groomer. I can confirm that you absolutely need to have your babies on flea preventative year round. I even saw a dog die from fleas (that was definitely a case of extreme neglect, but fleas are a huge problem there because of the heat and humidity).

It’s bad for us here in the northwest too. The flea prevention we were using for our cats actually stopped working and when we tried a different one it made my kitties skin super irritated so we ended up hiring a pest control comps to spray our yard for fleas each month. It only works because our cars are not outdoor cats they only go in their catio. I guess they have more options for flea control for dogs

Also heartworm preventative meds are super important. Not sure if that’s an issue in Sweden or not, like the fleas?

In the upper Midwest we do year round heart worm pill, a flea and tick preventative pill during all months above freezing, and the lymes disease vaccine (lymes is carried by deer ticks and can be prevalent) 😂 jeeez, when documented it sounds like so much to keep our little babies safe😉

Yikes. I’m glad I am too far north to worry about the Lyme ticks but we still spray the yard for ticks and mosquitoes too. What we do have more here than many other places is wildlife like coyotes foxes and lots and lots of large raptor species of birds like hawks and eagles. Which is why my cats don’t go outside. I’ve seen a decent amount of people in my area putting protective spiked vests around their small dogs to keep them safe from being grabbed by predators. Pet people will do whatever it takes to keep their fur family members safe and happy.

The only celebrity brand I would actually buy would be from Dita Von Teese, whom I've been a fan of for years! She is known for doing her own hair and make up for shooting and for stage, it would make so much sense if she came out with a make up brand!

I agree about Fenty. I think it’s gone past just being a celebrity brand and is just a good beauty brand now. I’ve enjoyed most of the items from Rare Beauty as well. I’m def interested in GXVE. The REM not so sure about but I may try that highlighter now. Rose Inc also has some good products. Also we also call that mixing plate a palette in the states. At least I do and you’d also call it a palette when you’re mixing paint and stuff.

i’ve always loved Selena Gomez since she was on Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney Channel! 😊 i think so many people love her bc she’s not problematic and she’s nostalgic. i think that’s a reason why so many people are so open to and excited about Rare Beauty, or maybe that’s just me haha😋

I agree I wasn't a big Disney fan in school but my sister was. She was a huge fan of Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) and Selena was second to her. However, after Miley became problematic, she shifted all her attention to Selena Gomez. I watched Wizard's of Waverly place in college and that's when I started liking her. Moreover, I could sympathize her when I heard about her Lupus.

I'm definitely so interested to see what's good and what's not... I'm still thinking about how Abby Williamson went off on celebrity brands in her last anti-haul, and made some great points about how they have a leg-up and basically just monopolize shelf space in Sephora. Also, hope your vet loved your makeup! 😆

As a fellow swede, with the same name and the same age, I'm so freaking proud of you and the way your channel is growing. There are so many beauty youtubers out there and you're really bringing a different perspective on things and I love that you're putting the "scandinavian" view of things on the map. I’m a big fan of Rare & About-Face. I haven’t tried much from Fenty, but have enjoyed the 2 things I’ve bought from the brand. I’m not the kind of person who will go buy a brand just because I’m a fan, the products really have to speak to me. 🤩

I don't really keep up with celebrities much, but if someone releases an interesting product, I'll try it. I had never heard a single Halsey song before I tried About Face. And now, I have almost all the liquid shadows. I love them.

The gwen Stefani black eyeliner is my new holy grail for my daily tightline! So long wearing/non smudging. I had been using the Patrick Ta for several purchases after the milk makeup one was discontinued, but the Gwen is even better than those imo. No gray smudging on lower lash or inner corner, but still super creamy upon application. Only criticisms are the actual pencil is kinda fat making it a little unwieldy all up in your eye, and it needs to be sharpened every use or two so I'm flying thru it.

NYX has a great retractable white eyeliner so does rude cosmetics. Both stay in my waterline like champs and this is coming from someone with super watery eyes. Rude has 32 colors in their city of flashing lights line and all of them are fantastic!

I will again recommend you play with the danessa Myricks color fix color.shadows. they work with everything and u can layer them. Use them as lips, blush,.liner, anything. I think u would.really.love them

I wonder if singers have the best lip products because they want lip makeup that won’t move or smudge or crack while they’re singing. 🤔 Love the straight hair again! Something about the straight hair, red eye makeup, and the top makes the whole look super rock n roll. You look like you’re about to go to a rock concert. I wonder if you can put powder on top of the about face eye paints. Random but have you noticed BH cosmetics being more active again on Instagram? I saw a comment where they said to keep an eye out because there would be “something” soon. 🧐

I think Selena's caring messaging that came out with the products (and the naming of the products reflecting that), gave the brand a kind of 'halo' of warmth. Fenty, like Rhianna, has just been cool since the beginning. I will be excited to see what Haus Labs' rebrand looks like. I think you've said it before, Angie, that makeup is now a kind of 'merch' for followers. I think this works well for musical artists if they're doing colour products, but I don't want their (or models') skincare, unless they are coming up with something new and exciting. I am called Ariana, and I love the 60s and space fashion, so I HAD to buy some R.E.M. products...I loved the branding, personally. I love the geometric shapes of R.E.M., which was actually one of the things that drew me to Fenty...the octagonal packaging!!!!

I really enjoy the liquid eye paints from about face I have the bright teal color and the dark green and will probably but more. I'm just waiting on the Flip fit app to get more colors! Also the About Face fractal eye paints work over top of the mattes beautifully with no lifting, clumping, or patching.

The only celebrity brand I’ve tried so far is Haus labs and Fenty Beauty. I bought an eye pencil from Haus Labs and I love it. I think that the market is becoming so over saturated with brands, and now celebrity brands, that they are all trying to one up the other and sacrificing quality. I’ve tried the blotting powder from Fenty and I really like it.

In case it's helpful, I find that powder shadows work great OVER the aboutface paints. I apply my special glittery shades on top for sparkle and they look bomb (usually with a finger but also with softer brushes). Their fractal paints are their shimmer/metallic formula BTW, and those do work great together with the ones you used in the vid. Hope this is useful for you to get more use out of them. I love when Angelica tells us the Sweden name for something. I think it would be great if you'd make it a "thing", Something like Nikkie Tutorials does the Dutch Word of the Day or something like that, I don't know if she still does it. I haven't seen one of her videos in like a year or two. But would love for you to like just to pick like a makeup or even a non-make up item & tell us what the Swedish name for it is. (If that makes sense, Idk am I making any sense? ) I'm so tired, I've been through hell this morning. My cat brought a baby bird in the house to "play with"...smh

My absolute favorite celebrity makeup brand that totally surprised me is Victoria Beckham. It’s expensive but with everything I have tried worth it, for me at least. The one that’s close to second is Rare Beauty. I also enjoy Rose Inc, wish she would bring more makeup to the line.

I have all of the Aboutface liquid shadows, & I freaking love them. I use them with other eyeshadows all the time, I pop shimmers over them, do whatever with them, they’re amazing! I don’t know why yours wasn’t behaving well with the liquid shadow over top 🥺 I’m literally obsessed with them! They do take a little bit of learning once you use them at first, but I only bought a couple initially, & after using them *had* to buy them all. Play with them a little more! You’re so artistic, you’d definitely be able to get the hang of them!

I'm looking forward to the Haus Labs rebrand, I know that Angela Bright loves their current eye liner pen and uses it frequently, but I hadn't purchased it yet, so that's on my shopping list. The GXVE eyeliner in Bathwater is also on my list, as the color is such a vibrant blue, and it's a long-wearing waterproof formula so it may actually stay in my waterline for more than 12 seconds. I love the about-face products. I literally wear the matte fluid eye paints almost every day. I totally agree that they don't really work with other liquid shadows once they are set, however before they are set I have had no problem. Also, I layer powder eye shadows on top of them all the time with great success - once they are set. I think that is the linchpin in working with them!

I usually eye roll at the vast majority of celebrity brands. Fenty has been the only one I’ve bought bc of the celebrity. And her glosses are my fave, but I don’t love all of her products. I’ve never liked Selena Gomez, but I bought her liquid blushes on the rec of an influencer and now I own all the dewy shades. I love Gaga, but her line has always been boring to me. Basically, they’re all hit or miss like most brands. They def have a leg up and don’t really have to prove themselves to consumers.

Have just tried a couple of things by these brands. I have the house of labs liquid liner in dark brown and it is fantastic. Lasts all day on oily lids and it is perfect for my hooded eyes…no transfer.

I watch makeup videos as entertainment and to see now stuff. But I still don't get people getting mad. I mean there are 1000s of channels so if someone only wants to see stuff they can get them there are channels out there that only use things you can get. If they see someone use discontinued makeup they don't have to watch. Simple. At least you'd think so.

I swore by the ABH cream bronzer until I tried the Rare Beauty bronzer stick. It really is worth the hype! It is so creamy and effortless! I am also a big fan of Rare's liquid blushes ( not so much of the Melting Cream blushes, no staying power). I have not tried REM, too many mehh reviews to be intrigued. I am dying to see About Face come out with an eyeshadow palette, I feel like the color story would be awesome.

I definitely like to try to re create within my stash if it's something I cannot get. I like when people go back and use older products too to get re inspired by what I already have. I went through a year or so trying to keep up with everything new and that is ridiculous for someone that doesn't work or work on RU-vid. I got us into trouble because of makeup and lately, I don't even wear it. It's so ridiculous.

One thing about Kylie, I watch a lot of declutter/collection videos. It is rare to see Kylie makeup in those. Don’t think RU-vid has embraced her at all. Don’t know who bought all that Kylie stuff but were not influenced by RU-vid.

I don't have a problem with well known artists from various genre's bringing out their own brands. I just have a big problem with celebrity and cashing in on it. It seems far too many are attempting to do this at present which is probably why we feel swamped by them. We need to ignore the person starting the brand and concentrate purely on the products they are releasing and judge these items on what's important to us. No-one should get away with bad quality just due to whom they are in the entertainment industry.🇦🇺💖🕊

I do not use tinted moisturizers or face tints in the summer months as I feel they slide off my face even when powdered or with setting spray. I do like them in the winter months to add extra moister under my foundation. This was a great video and I am especially intrigued by the About Face paints. Thanks!

I love Rare Beauty I’ve tried all but 1 product from the brand. The lip soufflés are so beautiful. .i don’t care if it’s a celeb or not if the product looks interesting and catches my eyes I’ll try it.

Sephora suggested I use the One/Size foundation powder to set down the Rare Beauty foundation and I really loved the effect, but the powder wasn’t in the right shade for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

my "holy grail" from a celebrity line is the about-face shadow sticks as waterliners- they are amazing when used like that- they do not bunch up in the corners of the eye after a long day, stay very pigmented all day, they are so good! I just need more colors and more sale prices :D

i REALLY appreciate you being honest about REM beauty. i’m a big fan of ariana grande and also a big makeup fan. i haven’t tried the brand because so many youtubers/tiktokers bashed it so much. i think that’s just what is popular and was going to give them clicks. but i think the brand is very similar to ariana’s aesthetic. she has done the space aesthetic for a long time so it makes sense and if they don’t feel cheap then i don’t see the problem with the packaging. i’m glad to know i can try the brand and probably like some of the products bc you were honest!

Haus labs eyeliner is my holy grail. I’ve been trying many trying to find another since Amazon doesn’t always have the product and their website the shipping is astronomical to Canada. It’s a felt tip (I know not your favourite) but the best felt ever. So 8 eyeliners since and I can’t get to the quality of haus labs. Hoping it’s a staple product from Sephora so it’s easy to repurchase as needed

MAC is one of the first brands I used to buy from all the time. I will still buy from them if I see something I like, but I haven't used them in awhile. I was upset that they discontinued alot of my favorite eyeshadows. Parfait Amour, Idol Eyes, Beautiful Iris, Gorgeous Gold, Deep Truth, Greensmoke, Club, Sumptuous Olive, Atlantic Blue, Trax, Smut, Humid, Shale, Twinks, Patina, Vellum, Quarry. I was so happy to find that Vicious from Devinah is a dupe for Parfait Amour and it's prettier. They have very slim purple and green options and those look the best with my hazel eyes. I moved on to indie brands's shiny shifty eyeshadows. I used Coastal Scents too. I was going to order some more but they were sold out of what I wanted. I found out they were closing a little too late. I love Devinah, Terra Moons, Oden's Eye, and Clionadh though. 🤣

I bought the rare beauty skin tint. I’ve got an oily lady complexion. I’ve warn it when it was in the 60 to 70 degree weather with no problems. But it’s been 90 degrees, I’m too chicken to wear it out. Love your videos! 🌸

Love this video 💛 it pains me to say but I've given up on Fenty. Love the idea and morals of the brand but I've tried 3 things from them now and they've all been okay. I want more 🙆🏼‍♀️ Maybe I should try more stuff but for a regular consumer (especially on a student budget) 3 flops from a brand is enough to put me off.

Same! I tried their light foundation and really liked it. Then I realized I needed to use up my Josie Maran foundation before it was too old and... Yeah, it's WAY better. I think I allowed myself to fall for the hype. It's only ever just okay.

I think REM didn't just launch on the "wrong" side of people being exhausted, but the initial photos were ugly. Had they taken more time with product pictures and tried to do them more fancy instead of the collage they did, they would've had a better reception. I remember reading the comments on trendmood and people were like "those photos look cheap so it must be another cash grab brand". And that sealed the REM fate. It's been months and just now I'm seeing some of the influencers I follow actually try REM. Everyone wrote it off the same as they did with the scarlet johannson brand or the ellen brand or the hayley beiber brand. As for celebrity powder, I've heard good things of the flower beauty light illusion. It is owned by drew barrimore. In general, flower beauty seems to be one of those good celebrity brands

However… I’ve learned from you , and I agree with you that your foundation IS too glowy, kind of looks like you’re sweating… and highlighter is too glowy as well. Cat hair up the nose?? 😳 Yep, definitely been there before!! 😂 We've had our marmalade Jerry for 7+ yrs now. A past friend of my daughter's had no choice but to give him up and hadn't had any success finding someone willing to take him. By complete happenstance, we heard about this the day before she was to take him to our local shelter. He's been ours ever since 😊 About a week later, I stopped in front of a mirror for a cursory once-over to check my makeup before I left the house. Something caught my eye so I leaned closer to the mirror and only then did I realize what it was. A medium length orange cat hair sticking straight out of my nostril 😆 Most surprising thing to me wasn't that it was there bc cat hair gets EVERYWHERE, it was the fact that over HALF of it was IN my nose! 🤣 How SO much of it was able to get up in there in the 1st place boggles my mind to this day 🤣🤣 So far it hasn't happened again, but in due time I'm sure it will! Absolutely ADORE that furry feline 🐈 ❤️ 🐈 ❤️ 🐈
