Had a rough week and I’m 10 seconds in and I know this video will cheer me up. Soph’s uploads always make me feel better - she’s gorgeous and seems so kind and genuine
My face is similar to an oil slick 😂 My mascara go-to’s the don’t bleed or smudge down my face are Mac Extended Play Perm Me Up and Diorshow Blackout Waterproof. I’ve been using the combo for years and no matter how many others I try, I keep going back to these two staples. 🙌🏼💜
Girl, best mascara ever: Thrive Causemetics mascara! All of the other ones flake or smudge or transfer and this one doesn't do any of that. And it makes your lashes look amazing!
I have a mascara recommendation, and I’m always bewildered that no one ever talks about it 😅: L'Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes So Couture. I love the telescopic one also. And my unpopular opinion - I hate Essence mascara 😬
Aww I love this! I made the cow palette with Glisten Cosmetics! (I’m The Clay Drop haha) - so lovely seeing it being used and so happy you love the colours we chose! 🥰
I’ve also been loving the L’Oréal tinted serum, since I got it I haven’t put it down. I’ve been wanting to check out Mitchell’s blursh so bad, they look so pretty. Yes! I’ve heard of Rephr brushes, they are supposed to be amazing, but expensive haha. Maybe someday I’ll try em.
I’ve got a few Rephr eye brushes and the lash curler. I like them a lot! The face brushes are on my wishlist I just haven’t wanted to fork over the cash yet 😬

I love how you always do a different type of look in each video, it’s so nice seeing you test the products
Maybelline lash sensational is the only mascara that doesn't smudge for me, I've tried essence to urban decay snd they all smudge for me 💗 (currently wearing cookies & cream, I always get completed on it)
As for mascaras, I swear by Lancome Idole. I have tried so many throughout the years, but this one works the best for me. That thing doesnt move, smudge, budge or prints on your eye lid all day long. Plus it gives you volume, curl and lenght. Basically one mascara that will give you all you could wish for from a mascara.💜
my holy grail mascara is the one from thrive cosmetics!😍 I have a grand total of 4 eyelashes, and they're stick straight, but that mascara lifts them, gives them some volume (not a crazy amount but a very good bit!), and lengthens them like crazy! I've never had it smudge before, and it's SUPER long lasting! I recommend that mascara to everyone!!!!
Rèphr is amazinggggg, so funny how Beauty RU-vidrs all discover products at different times. I have been watching others who have had those brushes for monthsssss and then someone could just discover them. Love your vids
My skin is the same! One moment its all good then I break out, time of the month and wearing masks don't help but I do try and keep up a skincare routine Its hard to pick favourites as things change all the time but I recently got a galaxy light projector and so far I'm really liking it 🥰🥰
I love the Leneige sleep lip mask!! I got as a birthday gift from sephora so it was a little trial size, but it lasted quite a while! The Berry is soooooo good. Their moistutizer and gel sleep face mask is awesome too. And they smell amazing!
I started Dermatica in the first lockdown and it completely made my cystic acne go! Now i use it once a week just to maintain my skin. It honestly changed my life, i was so insecure about my skin. I looked into getting a consultation with a derm and it was £500!! Honestly £20 a month is NOTHING and would pay every month for the rest of my life 🤣
I really didn't like Bad Gal Bang when I first got it, but a week after opening the formula magically and beautifully dried out a little overnight to the point that it then became my ride or die. I can't believe how good that was to my lashes
Watched this last night then went straight out to TK maxx and nabbed the last two tubs of the lip sleeping mask for only £11.99 each! Absolutely life saver, thank you Soph!! My lips were really cracking and I was struggling to find any lip products that really properly soaked into my lips. 1 hour in and omg the relief is sensational 😌💋
benefit roller lash mascara is the best! i’ve used it for years, i’ve got oily eyes and it doesn’t smudge all day! so so good rly long lasting and makes ur lashes look amazing x
I wasn't sure to click on this video as I don't watch makeup videos anymore but... THIS IS PURE GOLD!!! I this that of Dermatica is genius. I'd love to try it out. Thank you soph. I need to watch your videos more often 💜
I love how you represent oily skin people. I usually have to buy waterproof version of everything so will deffo be trying those mascaras. I quite like the sumptuous extreme waterproof lash multiplying mascara from Estee lauder. Doesn't seem to smudge and I know you like mascaras that are abit clumpy. I use that x
I love your recommendations. I have been sickly lately and I have broken out a ton. Sigh. 50 and still have some cystic acne. I never had many issues when I was a teen, but from 35 on I have been having issues.
I don't usually comment, because usually nobody really cares. BUT, Soph you asked about mascaras and oily eyelids. Well, I have a recommendation that works for me. The Hourglass Unlocked! Its a tubing mascara which doesn't smudge at all, easy to wash off and easy to fix if you get it on your eyelid. Big fan!
you should try the Dior forever-skin foundation, i love it as a nice glowy finish on the skin, it has low-medium coverage and it’s great on any skin type
I have chronically oily eyelids and so many mascaras smudge for me too!! One mascara I have found that’s pretty decent at not giving me panda eyes is the Lancôme Lash Idôle, so that could be one to try maybe? 🤷🏻♀️
No7 Stay Perfect mascara Ultra is the only mascara I keep going back to: has never transferred, perfect formula, comes off in clumps then doesn't leave dark circles when you remove it!!
I have SUPER oily lids and I use the Essence Lash Princess mascara and it's amazing and doesn't smuge for me, even better staying power when I use it with a lash primer ☺
Would love you do to a Testing Groupon Makeup video, I just found these insane eyelashes with glitter sticker eyeliner attached that I’d love to see you try! Would be hilarious! 💕
the toni&guy dry shampoo is good for anyone who’s looking for a decent one in the middle price range. it costs more than the batiste one but isn’t expensive. still very affordable and would 10/10 recommend from someone who has thicker hair and always has different colours going on
oh my god dermatica are the best! both them and skin&me do the same thing, but go for dermatica if you have dry skin as the skin&me formula can be a bit chalky/drying and can pill on some people. but I'd definitely 100% recommend these if your acne is bad but not bad enough to warrant a doctor's attention. that and blister plasters on spots sorted my acne for good.
essence falsh lash effect in waterproof (blue) is the best for long, thick lashes and helps the oily eyelids lol, only downside that if you use too much it goes clumpy and it's very hard to remove (lasts all day) but its less than £4 so it's worth it
Not too sure how accesible it is to people outside of Aus/NZ but Lauren Curtis came out with a mascara called Lounge Face and it's a tubing mascara so it's super easy to remove but also DOES NOT BUDGE !!!!! It's the only mascara I use now because I switched to cruelty free and can't use roller lash anymore. It stays all day, and also on nights out. And it's summer so it's been like high 30's, she doesn't move. Otherwise apparently the Hourglass Unlocked Instant Exstensions mascara is similar :) :)
Oh my god! I started using dermatica because of StephThoms and i swear to god my skin has never looked so good! I pair it with la roch posay B5 cica plast soothing balm! Oh my god! I’m a new woman!
I LOVE my Rephr (pron repher) brushes. They’re amazing quality natural haired brushes that are actually very affordable. I definitely want to try the Charlotte Tilbury blush though, it looks gorgeous x
Mascara recommendation : Avon unlimited drama instant lift. Length, thickness…stays put all day, holds a curl on my usually very straight lashes and doesn’t smudge at all!!
I heart revolutions coconut sitting powder makes you look smooth but it also doesn't have flashbacks. My first setting power and I've just rebrought it it's that good
I think you've mentioned it before but I'll just say it anyway, the Essence False lash effect (black with green packaging) is the best and cheapest mascara I've trier. And it doesn't smudge on my pool of oily eyelids.
If you haven’t tried it. The NABLA Major Pleasure mascara I really love. It doesn’t smudge or transfer on me but obviously everyone is different! 💕💕 xx
Some of my favourites are the revolution avocado mascara your pink lip kit with revolution and the morphe x maddie Ziegler blush and lip kit (the peach shade)
I love the Kiko Holiday Gems 4D lash mascara! I’m not sure if you’ve ever talked about it or tried it before but I literally use it every day now! And it’s on offer for £3.90 rn😭👏🏼
Lately I feel soooo calm after watching your videos It’s kind of like you start to be my “comfort-RU-vidr” When I have a bad day it just helps to watch your video because your personality reminds me of sunshine and it just makes me happy ☀️😊
Try a 'tubing' mascara. They're supposed to not smudge. I love the Thrive brand, but Loreal has a drugstore one. It doesn't give as much oomph as the thrive, but may be more accessible.
if you want non-smudge mascara, you have to get waterproof. I know a lot of people hate them bc they're hard to remove, BUT if you use an oil-based eye makeup remover it comes off so much easier. And then I use a regular makeup remover like micellar water to remove any residue and the rest of my makeup. Idk why it doesn't smudge on me as much with my oily skin even though oil helps to remove it... but it does work better for me. With this trick waterproof mascara is so helpful for oily skin and straight lashes (waterproof is the only way mascara will hold up my curl)
Forever Winter is my favorite song off the Red album as well!! It's so relatable for me and someone in my life. I wish she would've released it originally...
