I agree a million times over!! Yes, it’s exciting to see first impressions on new products. but tbh I ALWAYS wonder abt all the older makeup in ppls collections tht seem to get no attention bc theyre not considered brand spankin new releases anymore. as a regular beauty consumer who loves beauty yt; I appreciate seeing products consistently used, bc I feel like thts more realistic 🤷🏻♀️
That kind of content makes me so happy. I'm always sad to hear that it's not popular. COME ON PEOPLE! We get to talk about makeup and not be tempted by new purchases and being inspired to use what we own... How can we not love that?! 😅🤪🤷🏻♀
I always appreciate when creators use their old makeup! I tend to have many of the old items and these kinds of videos are such a breath of fresh air from the constant release fatigue. There’s something so satisfying about seeing well loved makeup and it’s realistic content for us non-content creators that don’t receive PR:) thank you for listening to our requests!
I also love videos featuring “older” products. Sure a lot of newer products might work or be trendy in the moment, but I love seeing tried and true makeup that is reliable and versatile no matter what the trend.
Angie, I absolutely want more of this loving older products as a series 💚 I appreciate that as a content creator you receive and purchase many products so its going to be difficult to revisit older products 😊 Loving your makeup look 💖 😊
A new idea for a video series, "Throwback Thursdays" or something like that. Where no "new" products are used and older products are revisited. I would like that too as I am sure we all experience Fomo, BUT no one can keep up with all the products being constantly released, it would make us regular folk feel a bit more content with the purchases we've already made.
I love seeing older products! Most people that are in the beauty community have enough products to replicate any trend and it’s difficult to stay disciplined when all u see is recommendations and hype. When a RU-vidr uses something old is also means the product truly stands out so I’m here for it
I will always be interested in videos using older products not only because they give inspiration to use what I already have, but also when I am ready to buy something to add to my collection they're a reminder that it's not all about new releases and there are a lot of great products out there I've forgotten I really wanted.
I AM SO EXCITED to see the Glam Lite Icecream palette on the thumbnail, it’s one that I STILL want to get I can’t shake it hahaha, I probably don’t need it but nothing I have is that pastel 😍
Cat hair problems are so relatable. One of my cats sheds like his getting paid for it. I wish older palettes and shop your stashes were more popular. I enjoy those kinds of videos.
I definitely like videos about older makeup because I can't run out and get the latest thing. Also, the older makeup has stood the test of time and is still loved as opposed to being the latest sparkly thing.
I looooove seeing older palettes revisited! I feel like RU-vid focuses so much on what's newest and shiniest; I wish it looked more at "oldies but goodies." Start a trend, Angie! :)
It makes me sad that videos like this are not as popular; surely thousands of people have already purchased these items and maybe they want to see if you have a different suggestion of how to use it or what other items you pair it with? But I get that we've basically made the beauty space into a place where we want to see new products reviewed before we decide if we want to buy them. Seems like we're just unwittingly feeding the cycle of consumerism by only wanting to focus on the new, so THANK YOU, Angie, for sharing what you already have and love with us! These videos are very underrated imho 😅🥰🥰
I love shop my stash videos. For many reasons they are my favourite ones to watch. I of course enjoy reviews but shop my stash videos are great because it reminds me to revisit items already in my collection, and/or inspires me to use them differently.
I'm glad you are doing this video so many times we move on to new stuff before I've been able to try the old it's also nice to know how the old stacks up against the new
Hearing you say “is this an episode of empties?!” really made me think what a good idea a “last call” episode would be! Either things YOU are nearly out of or things that are getting discontinued. 💡
Commenting to fool the algorithm! And to thank you for the reminder to reach for the Ice Cream Dream palette since it's almost spring in the southern hemisphere. Beautiful look as always 🌼
Love the return to old products! That lipstick color is amazing. I would love to see an orange/yellow toned lip video. I’m always on the hunt for good oranges
I love love love favorites videos because makeup is changing so fast that its difficult to keep up with what is actually good over a period of time. Would you ever consider doing an updated version of your wedding makeup? I would watch it over and over again!
I recently rediscovered my MAC eyeshadows I have in Z-palettes and am having so much fun. I greatly appreciate “shopping my stash” videos - helps me remember all the great makeup I already have!
I love seeing content on makeup I already own. I’m always happy to get new ideas and this is especially cool to see two palettes and a single used together. With new makeup releases, creators usually just stick to using whatever is in the collection that is being released, but this is how viewers use makeup. This content is more useful for me.
I loved this video! New releases are fun, but true favorites can stand the test of time and even hold up against newer releases. I would love to hear your thoughts on how your OG favorites fare against newer things that you’ve been loving.
I like videos with tried and true makeup, no wild-cards just creativity! It's more realistic to how I use my collection plus it's very interesting to me to see how preferences change (or not) when someone tries new products a lot.
LOVE this idea of revisiting and creating with older products. I know more people want to see new new new. This would make a great Tag video to inspire people to show some love to what they have. I'll be trying the pastel with neutral look soon it's so pretty.
I love a video like this! I’m going to look through my makeup and give some old favorites some love as well. I agree with you about the NYX concealers. The bear with me is among the best! I love it. I also agree about the Milani blush. They just know how to do it right. I also LOVE my sigma eye primer in ignite. I use it the exact same way that you do. Spread it with a brush. Let it sit, and then right before I’m about to apply shadow I go over the crease again and my shadow stays allll day and doesn’t crease. Even if I use a shadow stick it won’t rub off or crease. I just love it! Love the look you created. You’re stunning 😊 and very talented! Love your content and look forward to your videos. Keep on shining my friend! ❤️💫💕
This tans and beiges with a bright pop" type of look has become my go-to this summer. I have been having so much fun with aqua, turquoise, purple, pink, yellow, and lavender. As the seasons start changing from summer to fall, i think i might take this idea and switch the tans and beiges for deeper browns, and the "pops" from brights and pastels to jewel tones of burgundy, gold, orange, red, evergreen, eggplant, etc.
Thank you so much for making this kind of video for us! Even though we know they don't often get lots of views. This is why your subscribers are so loyal, Angie 😊
My fave foundation from 2022 is by far the Chanel touche de teint. I basically never buy luxury products but fro some reason I bought this and omg it is SO. GOOD. I’m a makeup artist so I’ve tried my share of formaulas but this is just exceptional. It’s so thin but covers what I want and most importantly stays on and looking amazing all day long it’s unbelievable. Doesn’t move or crease or anything. I would say it’s one of my top 3 of all times!!!
I love this idea so much! Honestly I’ll watch anything you upload but this is awesome. I actually started my channel because big RU-vidrs don’t use older makeup but regular people in the day to day life use makeup over and over again. And my channel is sooooo small and doesn’t get many views but at this point I’m ok with it because if I help/inspire/urge even one person to play with their makeup and feel good, that’s perfect! I’m always interested in watching videos using older makeup. Thanks for this one!!
I don't usually get excited about a video that's "watch me use this specific older product", BUT I loooooove videos with a list! 10 happiest palettes (I think Nikki Raven did that), 15 most interesting color stories, 12 palettes I've changed my mind on, 10 palettes from brands that I haven't tried yet but I want to, ranking videos, etc. Any videos that are all "here's a list of products tied together somehow"...I just love them. I'm definitely most into lists about eyeshadow palette, because they're my kryptonite, but any list will get me.
I've really been enjoying this type of video, since I have been cutting back on new makeup purchases and rotating out my current collection, especially eyeshadow palettes. I know they don't get the most views but I hope you still do more in the future
I love this tipe of videos, not everyone is in the cutting edge of the make up industry. I have at my collection a lot of "old glories" that I love with authentic devotion. Thanks for supporting all those great products. A big big hug from Spain
I have been enjoying going over my collection and rotating the heck out of it haha I use a different palette every time and broncers, blushes, etc I just feel like I spent my money for a reason. That glamlite palette is a gem😍 still love it so much ❤
I love this video format. It's nice to see all the hot newness, but I am very interested in the things that you know and love. I am also guilty of neglecting my lunar eclipse palette. Going to reach for that one today! 😁
Love videos using older products; I hear what you're saying about getting less views but maybe it could be a monthly thing? I was literally thinking yesterday about using a minty-turquoise eyeliner that I haven't touched in a while and seeing this color on your lids seals the deal. I'm going to use it today!
Love that kind of content. Just because it is not new at the moment doesn’t mean people didn’t buy it in the past and have it in their collection. The brown and mintgreen eyelook came trough ♥️💚
I can only imagine how difficult it might be to have a balance between testing new makeup and getting back to old ones that you enjoyed before. I vacillate between all mattes, colorful looks, one and dones, soft glam, elegant, etc. so I tend to not neglect one for too long. Right now I'm not into one and dones. Within one's budget of course, I celebrate everyone's size of collection, however big or small! Whatever brings you joy :-)
I love old favorites videos!! 😍 I loved Samantha's recent video where she used a different older palette each day!, that was really fun 😄 I love a good brown liquid liner! 🤎🤎🤎 love how this look came out!🤎💙🤎💙🤎
I love watching your favorites videos! 🤗The Juvia's Place Bronzer is my favorite this year too. P.S. I hope you are having an amazing vacay and congrats on 120K! 💛💛💛
I do want to see old makeup, but o want to see it done in creative ways. I’d love to see videos like this as collabs with other creators. I’ve been loving all of the collab videos you’ve been doing lately.
Wish you would talk about reminding folks not to baby products. I was guilty of this and now most of them are expired. Now I feel worse because I was babying them for no reason. I wouldn't feel I wasted money if I used them.
I was guilty of this with perfumes! I used to see my expensive perfumes as "Going out to fancy restaurants" or "Birthday party" perfumes. I have one that I love the smell of so so much and I just wouldn't use it because it was expensive. I've learned to just use the things I love. When I want to use it, I do. It's so important to just use things when you'd like to. Same with "fancy" clothes. If you want to wear that dress or blouse or pair of pants just do it! Clothes are meant to be worn and loved
The thing is that it’s her job to try and review products which is why she doesn’t do these type of video often. The way the algorithm with RU-vid works is that a lot of people look up products that are launching or just launched to figure out if it could work for them, which is why the majority of beauty content creators make videos on new products. It’s always a good idea to use what we have instead of buying what is new or “viral”… as for using products that are limited edition or expensive, I have to actively remind myself that I spend my money on it and I have to use it or it will go bad.
I have had such bad luck in finding my right undertone in foundation that I have recently just given up on base makeup. I'm convinced my color doesn't exist in the wild. I couldn't describe my undertone if my life depended on it.
Yay !!!! I'm so glad to see the looks with older makeup :) :) I have been on a low buy and trying to show my palettes some love ❤️ I have accumulated so many !!
I love the ‘shop your stash’ kind of videos. I bought a bunch of stuff based on your recommendations and it’s so fun to whip them out with you and get inspiration for products I already have!
Thanks for reminding us how to make the things we want to see appear more often (and therefore incentivize content creators to make them)! LOVE this video and definitely want to see it as part of the regular repeitoire!
I definitely love videos dedicated to using old, favorites products because as a viewer, I do buy a lot of products that you've used, loved and recommended on the channel. I've also watched most of your old videos of similar type. So I'm definitely here for this and am gonna do my part in trying to fool the algorithm:) P.S : my day doesn't start without the daily Angie video! Love your channel 💜
The way your eyeshadow matches your earrings!😍😍😍 I always enjoy your color combos too cause sometimes they're not what I would usually think of putting together and it always comes out so stunning!😍🥰
I love watching videos of older products being used. Maybe it could be like a once a month video of forgotten favorites. I love the look you created and now I want to pull out my Lunar Beauty palette and play with it today.
