there is so many issues just going off one review. Cross reference from other gurus, comments, and articles. not every gurus has the same skin type as you so not every product will work the same.

Okay but you didn't even blend out your nose contour and you definitely used too much bronzer elsewhere. Of course it's gonna look nasty and orange if you pack it on. And when you said you "barely tapped" into that Kardashian blush-that's definitely an understatement. Not trying to hate or defend the products, just pointing out what I noticed

Kennedy Smith but she did blend out her nose contour? And she dabbed off the excess the first time she picked up the blush. And on the second cheek, she barely tapped it in and it still looked like crap.

This is the second time she filmed this video, she talked about it on her snap. She filmed this video earlier in the week and then had to again after losing the footage. She probably was frustrated and just wanted to make sure there was a video today!

she did though. its just crap, ive tried the contour and hated it, it looks like youre trying to contour with blush. you could see she used two different brushes to blend it, the video would be 2 hours long if she showed every little blending she did. the kardashian beauty, if you watch her video on it and other peoples videos, youd see it was that crap anyway. the bronzer my friend has tried, its straight up orange. the pallet, not owrth the $10. plus she had crappy products underneath it so if they grab onto each other, theyre going to look even worse. if you want to be hate go for it, but shes just trying to not waste your money

She tapped the lid colour on and then blended out (or tried to blend out) the edges into her crease to make it softer? she does that with a lot of shadows especially colour pop ones and they always look great in the end

Damn the haters are busy commenting on this video. Tati is one of the more honest RU-vidrs. She buys a lot of the products herself to review and tells you when someone sent her something. I for one really appreciate this video and will steer clear of these shitty products! Thank you Tati!!

That was the point anglys ... She exaggerated everything on purpose. She stated her reason she didnt like them then made it a little more crappy on purpose. She sAID in the beginning it was going to be a fun video... Meaning not to take it to heart...its just for fun. Of course she could have made them look good. She can make anything look good. Dont you think she has used these products before now and tried to like them . so for instance.. We all know tati never wears her blush like that. She put on so much to exaggerate why she didnt like it ... That was why her makeup came out so bad she exaggerated everything on PURPOSE .. THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE VIDEO, TO EXAGGERATE WHY SHE DIDN'T LIKE THEM. get it? It was just suppose to be for fun... And everyone took it waaaay too serious

You're right in the fact that it's not about showing how to make the products work, but the reason why people were upset is that she didn't put any effort into using the products PERIOD. If she used the products just the same as any other and gave the same effort, then it would be clearer as to why they don't work. It was just sloppy and unlike her, that's all.

"I hate all of those contour products" (bronze, highlight, rouge) "They are so heavy, I look like a clown." *uses way too much liquid bronzer* *adds some more powder bronzer* *uses a ton of rouge* *keeps highlighting for hours* I think she wanted to do a crappy make up. She did not "not even try to look good". Her goal was to look like a clown.

Y'all are pathetic. She likes a product - she's fake, sponsored, not honest. She hates a product - she's not trying to make it work, she's sloppy. Srsly, when she reviewed Ky Shadow palette you accused her of selling out because she gave tips on how to make it work, lol. And a product I hate most is revlon colorstay for dry skin. It clogged my pores, ruined my beautyblender and literally sucked the life out of my skin and made it dry, which is kind of ironic, since it's a foundation for dry skin type.

OMG I'm SO SO SO happy to see someone have the EXACT same problem with that foundation. I tried and tried and tried to make it work with what I feel like was a 100 different techniques/approaches, and still got the same result!! I have dry skin and this foundation did nothing but cling hardcore to every tiny patch of dry skin.

Oh god, sister, hello! Everyone seems to love this foundation but I hated it to death. It kind of clogged my beautyblender too, like it sunk deep inside? Dunno, but you screw with my tools it's time to part ways, lol. I guess you have to terribly dry skin to really hate this product, lol!

terrilucks theres a difference between making it work and enjoying the product. These are a mix of drug store/high end/luxury. You shouldnt have to make a $20-50 product "work".

Everyone is saying that she is bashing all of the products. yeah, she doesn't like these products, and yeah she didn't put it in the best way that she doesn't like the products. This doesn't mean that ALL of the products of that brand is TERRIBLE. It's her own opinion, and if she doesn't like the product that's because it didn't work out for her and don't be so sensitive on that. (no hate btw♥)

BTW I HATE that Milani foundation that she's always talking about. Luckily, it's pretty cheap, so I think people should try it for themselves. You're not going to lose tons of money. But it's SO yellow and my skin is very pink. It makes me look like I'm wearing yellow face paint. Yuck!

I have the same issue with the Milani foundation i also find it very yellow i went out and bought it because Tati was raving about it. however i think i works very well as a concealer.

Yeah, my skin is on the dry side, so some of her recommendations aren't ideal. I always buy from a place that does returns. I'm going to try the Infallible Glowy foundation she recomended. fingers crossed.

My dry spots are on my cheeks and around my mouth. So far, I alternate between the Loreal pro-glow and the pro- matte foundations. I prefer the matte finish but that one has no spf. Both are pretty good. Lol, keep your receipts and look for sales. I remember liking the Maybelline BB (dream fresh?) cream last summer.

Girl I feel you completely on the maybelline palettes. I have the original nudes and I just thought that I was terrible at blending and doing eyeshadow, but several years later I have better eyeshadow and have better luck, albeit better skills as well, but ocassionally I go back to the nudes palette, and still I can't blend it for the life of me

Alexis Abdallah I used an entire bottle of it, and I do like it but only as a makeup remover before I shower or wash my face, because it DOES leave a film on the skin. It honestly removes my makeup like nothing I've ever used before.

Y'all needa chill. The products are the problem, not her. If those products work on you, then good for you. She doesn't like these products because it doesn't match her. So obviously, products like these wouldn't work on her. That's why it looks bad. She probably did the best she could do.

a lot of ppl are defending her by saying "the purpose of the video is not how to make these products work" "dont like dont watch" well how am i supposed to know i'm going to like it or not if i haven't watched it til the end?? and here's my point: she's not giving these products the fair amount of effort compared to her usual products. Yes she doesn't like these products, totally fine, but it seems like she's giving 5% of effort of putting that blush/bronzer. there's no way Tati would walk out with a blush like that even with a highend product. even if she doesn't like the product, she should still give a fair demonstration of the product. we will appreciate her opinion anyways. to me she's just biased sometimes.

Tati I love you but... I agree with the rest of the comments here. It seems like you just exaggerated a lot and went overboard with the amount of product you used, just to make it look awful. I have never once seen you use that much bronzer/blush, and in this video it literally looks like you used red face paint on your cheeks. I totally get if you don't like them, but to me it seemed like you changed your whole makeup routine/application just for these products and made them look worse then they actually are. idk.. thats just my opinion.

i feel like most of the products like the bronzers were just not for her skintone. the kardashian concealor is horrible no matter what but if it's yellow toned then it's yellow toned. if you're not yellow toned don't get it? the hoola bronzer you definitely could've swatched first so you would know it's too orange for you. she bought products that just weren't her skin tone so it's hard to blend and make look good. you can't get upset because something that's not made for your skin doesn't look good.

I agree. I think even if they were the wrong product formulas or shades, they still could have been blended in or used more sparingly. I also think that, while those eye shadow colors aren't too pigmented, sometimes that's not the worst thing if you are going for a natural look or for a beginner who may not be great at blending yet. However, to me, it looked like either she slapped a ton on or they were more pigmented than she said because the dark colors definitely showed up. This whole video just seemed like she was trying to make these products look even worse than they may actually be.

Btw those stating you're supposed to wash/rinse afterwards, technically micellar waters are supposed to act similar to a toner too and you do not have to rinse. Just as an fyi. But, again I agree with Tati on the film and the only way I've been able to get that feeling off quickly is microdermabrasion not even a simple wash removed the filmy feeling for me...even though, to reiterated, you are not supposed to have to wash/rinse after.

Sheila Bryant The reason why Micellar water may leave a film on the skin is because there are particles of oil packed within the water that supposed to help clean your skin differently from an alcohol-based removers and is less drying. Ofcourse if you are used to that, and I'm guessing Tati is, you're going to hate micellar water.

Foxy Lady oh I use other micellar waters without issue, and I seem to recall a video Tati made, stating she does also, but not positive on that. It's not the oil vs alcohol difference sweetie, it's something in this particular brand that I had issues with. For me the film felt like an itchy soap scum mixed with grease (not oil) film, that I couldn't get off without doing a microdermabrasion treatment.

+Trish technically you are not supposed to have to wash/rinse micellar water off ...read all micellar water labels if you don't believe me. But it's also not supposed to be only for makeup removal. Simply put this brand, for me, sux...maybe others it doesn't but for my skin nope. I'll stick with one of the other half dozen brands i alternate and use. Everyone has things that work and don't work for them, no biggie.

Truthfully, if you look at what she was working with, I mean kardashian makeup is trash, no matter how cute they package it, the MAYBELLINE shadows all look like the same color and I know even if you try really hard they still suck, and how can you mess up lips when it's clearly the color. Maybe she didn't try as hard as she did in $1 challenge but she was working with some crappy stuff. Why be negative when the whole point is to show you how bad they are? This is how it would look on the average person that's not a makeup artist or beauty expert. I feel like for those complaining she wasn't even trying or blending her makeup. She looks like she is applying the makeup exactly how she applies any makeup. There are plenty or blushes and contour products that blend seamlessly even if a lot of product accidentally gets on the brush. Doing any more is excessive and more time-consuming...hence why she doesn't like the freaking products. You want your makeup to work with your face and your skills. The fact is these products did NOT work for her, so just because you like it and she doesn't does not mean she is wrong.

It feels like she didn't put any effort into blending her makeup, like when she was putting on the eye shadow she just threw it on so haphazardly and didn't put any on her inner eye corner. And I've never before seen her rub a bronzer all over her forehead like that before so y now? And after she put on the liquid lipstick, it looks like she messed up on one corner. I trust that if she says the products are awful then they must be, but that application was really sloppy n I feel it looked so clownish partly because of how Tati applied it.

You can't just assume that none of us have ever tried high end/generally good make up. Of course the palette isn't flawless, but it's not terrible either. I really like colourpop brand! And If one of the lippies are drying I'll just throw a💧of jojoba oil, mix it well and the liquid lipstick will work just fine. It doesn't affect the color or its durability but it makes it much more comfortable on the lips :-)

Elizabeth Sanchez right. I have to wash my face after removing makeup and all these RU-vidrs just take their makeup off and leave the residue... It doesn't feel right on my face

Always double cleanse. I would always rinse with water but I use a oil to remove my makeup then cleanser after that

Elizabeth Sanchez you actually have to rinse off micellar water. That's how you use it. You're not supposed to leave it on the skin

yep, I always wash my face right after I use a wipe. I feel so dirty without doing that. And I find that if I run a cloth after I only use a wipe, I still have makeup on my face even if it doesn't look like it. Don't know how people don't at least rinse lol

I usually take my makeup off and shower (I shower in the night don't judge me) and I don't really ever have any problems with residue I've had a couple were they're so greasy it won't wash away but most of the time it's good

That's weird. I bought that micellar water cause in my head I thought Tati loved it (now I see she doesn't), and I have been using it for a good month now and I love it. It leaves no film whatsoever or anything and it doesn't sting my eyes. Oh well, I will still follow Tati's to the t.

But don't you feel like it's unnecessary to purposely make them look bad though? She could have just picked up a normal amount of product but she went overboard with the bronzer blush etc, in the Kim K makeup product review she didn't even use as much blush as she did here.

Because of this video I realize why when I first started trying to do my makeup better, why all the colors looked the same! I mean, it could have been the fact that I didn't wash my brushes enough too though. Or that I needed better brushes

I have such a hard time understanding Tati-logic with some things. Like how "shiny" and "frosty" are usually different concepts but with some lip products for Tati, its the same. And while frosty lipstick are tacky, shiny, shimmery lips are not. And then the highlight preferences. Like it can't be too much or too intense, according to Tati. The highlightier the merrier. But when decluttering, the Balm Mary-Loumanizer still has to go because its too intense.

She's a grown woman. One of the oldest I watch. Maybe she just doesn't wanna go around with her face so metallic you can't even look at her. I personally like that, I wear super intense highlighters pretty often. It's about preferences.

Ana Gómez And thats what I just don't get because she always states how she loves really intense highlight and shiny makeup. So one second its all about the shine and how she loves to glow and the next its just a bit too much. I can't find the distinction. If it was that she just doesn't like a lot of shine, then that would make perfect sense. But she talks about her love for highlighting and glow all the time.

I absolutely LOVE the colourpop liquid lipsticks. I have so many high end ones but I always reach for the colourpop. I guess each to their own..I don't mind drying ones, tbh I could wear cement on my lips!

The people who are saying she's not trying that hard is because she doesn't like these products!! Shes already tried them, used them, tested them. This isn't another test. This is using products that she doesn't enjoy and are bad FOR HER SKIN TYPE. So yes she's not trying that hard but it's because she already tried and gave them a chance! the point of this is to point out the products she doesn't like and say what she doesn't like about them.
