Problem was pride favourite wanderlei and during the first 2 fights he was in his prime and rampage was new, 3rd wanderlei was past it and rampage was in his prime..4th rampage had more left....prime v prime woukd have been great

Rampage was never really the best anything but it was cool watching him evolve from not knowing how to take leg kicks and get off the ground to an amazing defense for kicks and take downs. He was just too slow even in his prime but now he's even slower he wont be fighting top guys but he's can still make some money just dont know if brain damage is worth it at this age

Man, watching this almost made me cry. I used to watch Rampage Jackson when he did underground fighting especially when he fought for Pride Fighting . 9:13 as soon as they let each other out of the clinch, Jackson started setting up that finishing combo. 9:23 he tried the right hand once and missed. 9:27 he started adding the jab and it looked like as well as setting up, he was testing range & his timing i believe at 9:39. at 9:43 he tagged him then threw a few feints and a left-right combo. I noticed Silva was throwing them wild overhands in their last two fights that got him banged up. Jackson countering ability kinda underrated imo. Put it the playback speed on .25 at 10:11 you can see silva try to parry what he probably thought was another jab from rampage his hand goes in front of his face and rampage had clear shot with the hook

He did. By the time he came to the UFC he was already on the decline. He fought for years in other promotions like Pride in Japan. He is one of the OG GOATS i don't care what anyone says, he is.

Wanderlei was the scariest person in MMA history at one point. Nobody scarier than prime Wanderlei. He deserves a lot of credit. One of the greatest fighters ever! Rampage was always one of my favorites, and even though he reached a high level of fame, he needs to be recognized as a great Mixed Martial Artist. Legendary power, strength, and boxing. He was among the most freakish athletes in the history of MMA.
