I can’t believe I found the game I loved playing fondly as a child! 😭 I just typed in Mickey Mouse Sega game as I didn’t know which one it was. Watching the beginning brought back tons of memories! I don’t think I ever completed it but I know I enjoyed it. Watching it back now I can still remember what to do! You just know playing this as a child, you thought it was the best game ever! We had no idea how much better games would get, quality wise. We were so innocent. The 90s; a fantastic era to be a child in.
I remember being around 6-7 when I first played this game on my sega megadrive, every level has great music (the one underwater is my favorite)... for some reason as a kid I felt that the game was very long, with so many levels but now I realise it actually takes around 35 minutes to finish it.
brings a tear to my eye this. Remember as a kid would play 2 player with either one of my brothers or sister, used to always fight who lead the line. So many great memories from this console
The intro music always brings back so many memories. Miss those days & nights playing sega with my siblings & cousins. I'll cherish those memories forever!
Love this game. Make me so sad thinking about the memories of first playing it. One of the first games that had me hooked. So much fun and creativity in this game. Really was the perfect adventure
Oh sweet nostalgia! I remember playing this game so much as a kid (one of many favourite Sega Mega Drive games). I remember back then all the Disney titles for the Mega Drive were awesome to be honest. This still is an amazing game and the graphics and gameplay still hold up today surprisingly (the Sega Mega Drive has aged SO well - huh who'd have thought!). Ahhh my beloved childhood computer games and toys, etc. But there's something about the Sega Mega Drives look and sound, that's so nostalgic and comforting to me (I miss those times and the 90's in general actually). Anywho I love this game and the Sega Mega Drive and always will (I still remember when I was 8 and got it for Christmas I was so excited!) it was my first every computer console (and ever since then a lifelong female gamer was born!). These games, and their respective music soundtracks, even the voices and special effects... have really been imprinted/seared/hard-wired into my brain forever more now lol and I'm so glad! :-)
For me the under water level and the last level before the final boss always stuck to me as a kid. Wasnt until i decided to find it again and found this video seeing those levels again. The nostalgia really hit me once i saw them again
@@user-fj8mc4jx9u Yes, it's those arabic / mixolidian chords they use in the main melo, they kind of let you hanging out and unresolved, guessing if there's someone behind you. Mistery made music imo.
Back in 1996, I had an elementary school teacher who was super cruel and emotionally/verbally abusive to me and a few other kids. I used to go home and just cry and I couldn’t explain well to my parents what was wrong. I remember playing this game a lot though, and feeling like I could escape into the world of this game for a while. Hard to overestimate how much relief playing this brought 6/7 year-old me.
I came here because I missed this game so much! I didn't understand this game before because I was too little to understand this but I still memorize some of the scenes and it's stuck inside my memory, so yeah here I am.
20:40 i remember how terrifying when i play this as a young kid, and almost nv dare to challenge again,,, dam shark, and the sounds on tv is huge specially the jaw sounds
I remember being so proud of myself when i first completed this game at like 5 years old!! This was my favorite game at the time. The art, music, and themes of this game are so beautiful. I would love to find this on a newer console or emulator!!
Hard to believe this games now 29 years old “yikes” i was 19 in 1992 loved this game then and still play it today great gameplay gorgeous graphics amazing music a true classic
Wow - so many memories! The music at the level that begins at 31:30 used to haunt me as a child (in the best possible way). I wonder how much of this music has seeped into our memories and influenced our own musical choices or music making.
The song you did as example is one of my favorites of my entire childhood, I think yes have a huge influence in our actual music tastes. Great memories, greetings from chile 🇨🇱
This is incredibly nostalgic. The game was one of my favorites, because of music, atmosphere. The main thing is that this one is pretty short and simple for all types of players, i was even playing it with my mom 30 years ago and still can remember every level and sound. Great game for chilling after harcore Sega games.
Ahhh memories!!! I used to play this game when i was 6 :)))) I used play this game when i am sad or bored, I think i have completed this game like 5 times!!!! Tysm bro :)))))))))))))
Господи, какая ностальгия. Мне было лет 5, когда брат принес Sega и мы играли в эти игры. Микки Маус, Флинстоун, Алладин, Бэтмен, Мортал Комбат и др. Брат, спасибо за детство🥹❤️
The game is so magical even looking at this as an adult. It's everything what 90s Disney was! I remeber how much I used to look forward to the level when he goes into the cake box. Uff thanks for uploading
Aww!! I had almost completely forgetten all these levels. My favorite was the cloud level, mainly because I loved the clouds that went "whoot??" with annoyed faces when you jumped on their heads lol.
This game back in the day captured all the moods and emotions ....panic...joy...fear...with the spooky undercurrent....Absolute classics like this....MERCS.....Road Rash....California Game......Desert Strike.... are why i never did switch to the nintendo team....sega was miles ahead
Agreed, i miss that time.. This game was/is pure magic. It does have a creepy factorn as in you are in this wonky magical world and the music adds to the creepy but fantastic feeling. Damn no game can make me feel this way no matter the graphics. 8-bit and 16-bit era was so good..
I have such an obsession with past Nintendo games and the nostalgia that comes with it.. I often forget I owned a Sega Genesis and had some gems that came with it like Sonic, Bugs Bunny Double Trouble, Tiny Toons, Garfield and especially this game.
Played this game over a long and rainy weekend at my Grandparents cabin in Northern Wisconsin and I've been wondering what it was called ever since. What a trip down memory lane
During this era Disney went all out making top-notch games for that generation of platforms. Lion King, Aladdin, QuackShot... they really went to a lot of effort to bring their characters to the Genesis and Super Nintendo with maximum quality.
This is SUCH a great game for kids back in the day, I sure loved it. rele cool idea for different levels depending on who u play as, and great 2 player team game. A classic
I feel like this game must have been an inspiration for kingdom hearts..... especially the part where hes flying through space. The music is very similar to the music that plays in kingdom hearts where youre viewing the map to choose which world to go to next in your gummi ship!!
played in 95, a school class mate found a copy of this game on the top deck of a London bus and sold it to me for £5 (as he had a Snes). Always felt a bit bad for the poor sod who left it on the bus. Was a short and very easy game with simple gameplay, but such beautiful visual design.
By pure luck, I randomly stopped in at a Game Exchange just to check their classic games collection, and a near-mint copy of this gem was in the bin. Still love this game even now.
I love how they make the two-player version of the game, set up so that siblings can train each other to play it. With the rope retrieval and the pulling Donald through the gaps.
Thank you so much for posting this - fond memories of watching my mum and dad complete this on co-op, the ending music is so beautiful but bittersweet it brings a tear to my eye and reminds me of my childhood ❤
