my controller when i push the Right Stick (the aim stick) to the left my game receive it as shoot... and both L1, L2, R1, R2 was not functioning well.. this also happens in Need For Speed Heat... steering stick (Left Stick) need to push forward, if I press accelerate (R2) it goes to main menu... very annoying.. but in games like DMC5, Spiderman it works flawlessly..
So does x360ce not have shift functionality? i.e. I can make [A] output [B], but when a trigger is held, [A] outputs [Y] ? Does it not have that ability?
Dude, do you know how to make 2 generic controllers work? when i program them the second dodnt get recognized in second tab. they show 2 different virtual id but they share the original id. they are 2 physical different controllers with different cord and ports.
Pliz help me when I use ps2 controller in pc using its converter In x360ce I have a problem The app is recognising left analog and d pad as same 😢😢😢😢 What can I do now I can't even keymap the buttons using both because it recognises d pad same to left analog by default But not facing any type of problem while using in android 😢😢😢 Plizz I need help
Sorry about that, the right stick usually positions its self to the center while the mouse stays where its been pushed to, so the mouse cant really act like the right stick of a controller, even if you do configure it in some way you wont be able to use it.
I'm using a PS4 controller and whenever I try to map the buttons the input from the controller isn't detected even though the controller is connected Can anyone help?
If you're using a fake ps4 controller 🎮 shut it off and plug in the cable it would work correctly. that's how If fixed my problem. I tried everything on this video and many other videos too but I accidentally turn off my controller and it worked what a surprise.
Can you help? My issues with the old version is that my button mapping isn't registered on controller 1 instead it's on controller 2, and whenever I tried to configure controller 1 and register the button it didn't do anything. Any solution?
There is an option to select which controller to map to at the bottom left corner. It's labeled game controllers. I however think you should use the newer version cause it's options are more flexible.
I can't seem to get this to work. I noticed there's an error listed: FCE_ArgumentException_80070057_20220830_191526.581145 Do you know what that means? I've considered reinstalling the program, but when I delete it and then unpack the file it has all the settings from before. I'm trying the new version btw. I used use the old version years ago before Steam had controller support. Now I'm trying x360ce again for Godfall on Epic.
For this exception error it might be a missing requirement. Make sure the following are installed in your pc then try again. Windows Vista or newer. • .NET 3.5 (includes 2.0 and 3.0) - included in Windows 7. In Windows 8 and 10: Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > enable “.NET Framework 3.5 (includes 2.0 and 3.0)”. • .NET 4.6 (includes 4.0) - included in Windows 8 and 10. • DirectX End-User Runtime (June 2010) - Required regardless of OS; .NET MUST be installed prior to the DirectX update. • Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 - For x64 systems install both x86 and x64 redistributables
@@cyberrookie3029 thanks for responding. I found out I could use Steam to Launch epic games for controller support, but I copied down your message into a notepad document in case I need x360ce for something else
How do I map my steering wheel, it is a little ties 3d cruiser steering wheel, I know it is very old but I am able to connect it to my tablet and play racing games so I want to try on my pc.
To map your steering wheel, plug the wheels and brakes to your pc, then add them to x360ce interface by clicking on add on the right side of the auto map button. Select the device and then click add selected device. you then need to map the buttons as the steering, wheel, and brake. Map the left trigger as the front brake or reverse button and the right trigger as Accelerate button. Set the steering as the left stick while the right stick should be used as a view. Clutch, Gears, and brakes should go to X, Y, and A, B buttons. After setting it as per your need, you will see that the wheel will function correctly with the PC.
When that happens I usually just select the buttons manually from their drop down menu. There's usually an arrow by each side of where the button is recorded. Try configuring it manually from there.
im using the new version and had no problem when mapping the buttons, but when i open a game (gta iv, fnv), the right thumb stick is wrong. when i push up, the camera goes left, when i push right, the camera goes up. Do you know how to fix that
I've seen this before. Try swapping the configuration in x360ce. For example configure the up movement of the right analog as right and the left movement as up. Took a lot before I could solve this so am not really certain if this will work. So just try swapping the configuration of the right stick in x360ce.
Hey man,can you please help me or give me some type of advice. My 360ce started going crazy messing up all the controls after i added a game into it and i cant seem to fix it.I tried deleting it and downloading it again but all the messed up stuff stayed the same,is there any way for me to reset the app like its a brand new one?
Sorry for replying so late. If you still have that problem, Try deleting the button configuration file, launch the game, then close it and re-enter where the button configuration file was. Reconfigure it again and see if it will work.
You have to ensure the app detects your game pad. For the newer version, beside to selects your controller before mapping. The older version should work so far as it's in the right game directory.
Cool video, but, I dont have the 'Advance' tab, I can't set the Device Sub Type, the new x360ce version doesn't seem to have it, do you know a solution?
Works pretty well but i'm having a problem where steam games try to use my original joystick input as well as the new 360 controller input. I'm assuming its trying to use the xinput and Direct input at the same time? This leads to one button doing multiple things. Is there a way to fix this?
I thinks the problem is because both steam and x360ce are running at the same time. Be sure to run one at a time even in background. Always check task manager to be sure only one of the two apps is running.
Right click on the game and go to properties, then set steam controller support to "forced off" that should help disable controller configuration in steam when using x360ce.
@@cyberrookie3029 Yeah that wasn’t working, I tried that and also tried completely hiding the joysticks in the steam controller settings and yet somehow those games found a way to use them. I’ve been working on this for hours today and I am stumped as for how to fix this.
I followed everything step by step but when i run cuphead the controller doesn't respond and i only can play with keyboard and mouse even tho it's linked, i'd appreciate if u help bro
Found something that might help. How ever this is a temporary fix and you will have to do this everytime you launch the game. Follow this link below: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CL25dCp_Lh8.html
when i started the game, there is a ghosted controller which means i use 1 controller but when going to kickoff there are 2 controller and i cannot use my left/right joystick because i press one and it happens twice. Waiting for your reply soon
Which version of x360 did you use. It quite hard to tell the problem given that it acts differently for certain games. However, when I encounter a problem, I usually just delete the controller settings and try the reconfiguration again.
I think the better solution is to use the older version since you don't have to worry about adding your controller before playing the game. All you need is to configure it.
sorry about that bro, if you are using the new version, all you need to do is add your device by clicking on the add device button at the top right corner of the controller 1 page. doing that should activate your device on x360ce.
X360ce should prompt you to create dll file which is also the xinput files when you launch it for the first time, provided it's the right version for the game you are trying to play. If not, go to game settings tab and create the dll or xinput files. Refer to the video to see how to create the files.
Hey dude! I actually fixed the last problem I was having it was something about the Dinput file being turned on. I had to download a version from 2020 though and now x360ce doesn't switch profiles on its own. Like if it is on the default profile and I open up a game, it doesn't automatically switch to that games profile. I had it set up to do that on the last version so I know there is a way, I just don't remember how, and thought you might know the answer.
now that you've mentioned, x360 uses xinput and steam uses Dinput. maybe you just have to make sure they both used the same input so that they don't conflict. i dont really know but try enabling dinput for x360ce and disable all xinput options in x360ce.
@@cyberrookie3029 I was actually just thinking the same thing while I was driving earlier! I will try that for sure. Do you know how to make it automatically switch between each profile when I open a different game?
You could try messing a bit with the comparability settings for the x360 app. Your problem sounds kind of complicated so I would recommend you maybe use steam. It also very good for playing games on pc.
Actually I think it enables you to launch games from directly from x360ce. Don't know if it has another function but that's what I've been able to do with it so far.
Hello I keep getting an error message "unhandled exception has occurred in your application....... Error calling SetupDiGetDeviceRegistryProperlyW: 122
I think you can solve this by deleting all traces of x360ce configuration on your pc. Delete from the game directory, temp file in appdata and drive c. Then try it out it again.
There is no 'Issues' section for me. I tried looking at the 'Help' section, and it told me to install two Microsoft Visual C++ versions. Am I doing this right?
If you already have the xinput file in the game directory, you won't get any notification. If you want to see the notification you have to delete the xinput file in your game directory.
on the controller 1 tab go to game controlls at the bottom left, click on advance and see if you can fined your controller. select the controller and press ok then ok again. then see if you can add it from the add tab on the top right corner. be sure to check enable 0 mapping device and get xinput state. also enable xinput in the options tab
Aww, very sorry for that. But I think you should try with a different controller if you haven't. And just so you know it's not totally compatable with all games. But it mostly works with the good ones.
I don't know exactly what's wrong but if it's that x360 doesn't recognize your controller, look under the issues tab in the new version of x360ce, you will see Auto map, Add and remove options. Uncheck Automap and click on Add. A window will open where you will select the name of the controller you plugged in to your pc. If you do not see it go to the devices tab, unplug and re plug your controller and click on refresh. Then do the first step.
It does have quite a problem when it comes to multi controller configuration. Just try to keep it to two controllers and don't switch usb ports of you game pad. Just keep it in one port and always use that.
its not working for me it keeps telling me errors that for example this one "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The specified module could not be found. Thats what it keeps saying please help me im triyng to connect this to roblox to play all games like greenville or southwest florida
