Another great Rose Lavelle and Gotham FC performance. The commentator was spot on with that tiki-taka observation lol I said it on my last comment on GFC vs Seattle Reign FC, Rose Lavelle was making some spectacular runs down the middle and getting open multiple times and wasn’t fed the football. Tonight we saw her in pure form we she gets fed the ball in her lane and dominates in small spaces with the football. Drop her a dime and she can work the 18 and the box. She is just so amazing and it is why she is my favorite footballer in the NWSL, periodt. ✨🖤🦇🤘🏽🤓✨

Alyssa Thompson and Rocky Rodriguez failing to score early set a bad tone for the offense again. And that defense surrendering those 2 goals against Gotham was just flat out inexcusable.

as an acfc fan can we please do something about our midfield. game after game, we are completely ran through. and not to mention, no clear player has been able to connect the lines from defense to offense creatively or consistently.

First half, Gotham did well on setting up for and by Lavelle that looks spectacularly and the result was two goals. In second half, not so much of that unselfish passing when Williams appears, she pretty much went solo trying to create name for herself but shots were bad, unsuccessful!!! Emslie did great job with the Pk shot straight to the corner 👍, But the reward for that pk was not necessary, for I thought Thomson falling by herself while contesting for the ball. Minor shock for that falling was not warranted for the pk rewarding!!! USA NWSL AWSOME!🌹⚽️🇺🇸👍🤩

You can see why Gotham is the champ. They do just enough to get a victory. Their defense is World Cup level.

Ella Stevens, great: one v. one against the keeper she does the best move: Passed the ball to open teammate ready to score (it simplifies a world of trouble easily). Hopefully the young guns like Rodman, Thompson and company watch and learn.
