@@DOVAHKIIN1 I'm assuming you're saying this based on the title of the video? If you watch it, you'll find that the ads are mostly low budget, local commercials relating to small businesses. Utterly boring refers to many of the ads having to do with small car dealerships, attorneys, technical schools, and the like. Regional, low-budget ads. Stuff you would usually see after midnight. The title was more tongue and cheek than anything else. Lastly, you guessed wrong. Gen X.

ASMR indeed lol. This reminds of those cozy late nights you'd wake up as a little kid, turn the TV on and just watch the infomercials 😴. After regular tv broadcasting would be done. As always thank you for this Dave. 📼📺

As an overstimulated youngster in the '80s, these types of commercials were especially boring to me. Banking/financial services and insurance commercials used to drive me mad with boredom. Now I can watch all these commercials and I do find it relaxing. The ASMR title was appropriate.

There was a commercial in the late 70s, early 80s that starts with a woman saying, "I've got something new going on." I think it's for a hair product. At the end of the ad her phone rings. I'm looking for it because when I was a kid I was reciting that commercial randomly and our phone rang once right on cue. It was crazy.

Commercials from San Diego. Awesome. These commercials did not air in Los Angeles where I grew up in the 80’s. Very interesting. Channel 8. lol. Channel 8 in L.A. was static. So cool you do this Dave. It’s interesting. Especially the commercials from the East coast. Six Flags Great Adventure. We have Six Flags Magic Mountain here in SoCal. Some commercials like that Yahoo commercial from 1999 aired nationwide. I was in the Army in 1999, stationed in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. I totally forgot about that commercial. Hilarious!

I wear glasses, but I will never use frames like the ones you see people wearing in these ads. Lenses take up so much of their face they might as well be googles. I can't find proper words to describe whatever the hell 18:44 - 19:41 was... That dude at 25:56 - 26:19 is really trying to make it sound like people would be breaking down the doors for a *piano* sale. I don't know what it is that I like about those "local" commercials.

I'm wondering what channel and show had the demographics to show a store with pianos that cost almost $80,000 in the 80s. I figure anybody who would pay that much for a piano would know how to get them without a TV commercial.
