Hey fern, just so you know, your verigated opuntia is nicknamed the drooping prickly pear. The weird droopy growth is its habit. So if you don’t like that you might look into getting a different opuntia. I recommend opuntia humifusa the east coast prickly pear. It’s super cold hard can tolerate snow and freezing. It could live outside all year round. Just a thought

I did watch to the very, very end. I love ❤️ all your plants, such a variety. I did get me started on houseplants about 6 months ago. I made a wish list while watching you. I have been really enjoying watching your highly detailed tour of all your magnificent plants!! I have an Alocasia Dragon Scale that is pushing out some blooms for the second time. These are the smelliest blooms I have ever smelled!! And this plant is in my bedroom and it makes the whole upstairs hallway smell too. Will cutting them off hurt the plant? I ended up wrap the blooms with plastic wrap to keep the smell at bay, LOL. It sent out 3 blooms total and then a new leaf. So I am worried about screwing up the sequence of growth. What are your thoughts here please? Will I hurt this plant by clipping of the blooms?

This Hoya Latifolia Snow Queen is probably a Hoya Rangsan. Mine is looking 100% like yours and it is a Rangsan 😊

I was literally gonna comment the same thing! It looks very similar to my Hoya Rangsan. Hoya Latifolia snow queen leaves are closer to a heart shape. These look more elongated. @wildfern Loved the video as always! ❤

To get a uniform monkey tail cactus, you need to give it as much light as you can throughout the entire year. Darker months cause thinner, more etiolated growth and brighter months result in thicker, healthier growth. Because of this, you have thin and thick parts. Cacti really should grow outdoors in full sun as long as you can and then go under strong growlights during the darker months. They can actually survive lower temperatures than people think, but it depends on the species.

Definitely did, always love your video😊💚. I collect mostly hoyas and seeing how your serpens(cooler growing) is doing well in a cabinet so close to the light it makes sense why your heuschkeliana hasn’t bloomed nor the caudata. Heuschkeliana from my experience need heat and I remember in one of ur video u mentioned barrina giving out warmth so that might help you. Caudata for me bloomed in the winter but the light also produces a lotta heat. Re: your snow queen looks like a rangsan to me but I could be wrong. Also the ut001 sumatra appears to be a scortechinii. Hope others id your hoyas too, I have definitely experienced wrong id or random accession number added onto the id too😣

Aahhh that song at the end just makes me so happy. I love the extended version you are playing now. Your Hoyas are just gorgeous. I can’t believe how well your Serpens is growing. Tried twice but no luck. I have to try one more time because it’s sooo cute. My variegated Obovata on the other hand grows like a weed. Funny how different our Hoyas react. That Silver Lady is just gorgeous. I have it on my wishlist of course.

Great collection! The trailing plant in the bedroom is a Philodendron lemon lime because of the colour of the new leaves and that the leaves have a smooth texture. The Neon Pothos does not have the same colour in the new leaves, and the leaves have a distinct texture when you feel them.

Love the tour! Your Hoya latifolia ‘Snow Queen’ might be a Hoya verticillata (formerly Hoya wibergiae) And the Hoya sp. Sumatra UT001 now has a name! It’s Hoya scortechinii. I got mine from Planthaven Toronto, too - such a lovely one

Hi Fern JlYk that was great , I am so hooked on your plants. Favor The Hoya ‘s and The Begonias, especially the Dragon sparie(I don’t think I spelled that right). And your Sinbad. I’ve been With the basic plants, like the Jade, Spider, and African violet’s, rubber plant. I’m learning a lot with the soil and the size of pots . My Niece gave me a Hoya HB plant , and love it, I head out to Home Depot to see if they had any Hoya’s and they did I purchased 2 , and also a Rex Begonia. After seeing your variegated Maranta in videos of past, I really hoped I could find one. Luck has it, I found one in the bottle baby range. Loooooved these two videos, I think your Latifolia ‘snow queen’ is actually a Rangsan Splash, it has the same leaf shape as my Rangsan Splash and my Latifolia snow queen was never this small leafed. Either way they’re gorgeous, and the Rangsan buds all over the place & blooms often!!

Do you know if calathea get flatmites? You diagnosed yours br curly leaves. I’ve got to plants that have Curley leaves. Other than that, they look healthy. But a lot of the leaves are curled under and up. Theleaves feel very nice. Soil is damping. I’m not under watering her. Any ideas?

Wow... For months, I have been trying to figure out what one of my begonias is that I got as a cutting, and now I finally know it's a Fannie Moser! I'm not really a begonia fan but now I'll finally be able to figure out how to best care for this plant. Thank you!!

That mag x lux inflo is DEFINITELY pollinated, congratulations! The plant will prioritise growing those berries rather than a new leaf so you probably won't get one until it's done. I always help them out by providing loads of fertiliser and water
