This video is so practical and helpful. Loved how you included examples of the interviewer redirecting the candidate at the beginning while the candidate was still successful at the end!

I'm a newbie to casing and have an interview next week. Although this was a bit harder than what I'm used to-- It was so helpful and practical. Super clear and easy to follow. Subscribed!

It covered key stuff and the end part (feedback) with the What's, Why's and the page structure were super helpful! More than the book I'm using right now, thanks a lot!

Thanks for implementing the notes suggestion! I'm curious if you plan on doing a "virtual" case interview workshop since they are so common now.
@casebinge7352
@casebinge7352 3 года назад
That's a great question, Harrison! We're definitely considering how to address the virtual aspect of case interviews right now, and hopefully will be able to incorporate that in the future!

I loved it. That's what I looked for. English is not my first language. So next step will be prepare for the vocabulary and pronunciation. 😢

Great video structure and format, highly informative as well. Showing the notes taking process is a terrific initiative, and it is something all case interview videos should do. A little bit more information/thought process developpment on the paper itself would have been appreciated though (also not applicable here, but calculation steps for future videos). Thank you for the video, keep up the good work !

@casebinge7352 3 года назад
Hey Sobhi! Thank you for the feedback! We will definitely be thinking through fleshing out some of the thought processes a bit more in future videos, and having calculation steps pop up on the screen, as well. Thanks for watching! Feel free to email casebinge@gmail.com if you ever have any other questions--or just reply to this comment!

Agree with what Abbas Rizvi says. In addition, shouldn't the goal also be specified? How much cost reduction are we aiming to do?

the answers weren't the bes,t imo, the simple problem with this case is that the market size is not big enough to justify the amount of TV stations in the small nebraska and kansas market.They are spending millions to grow tv service but in reality the market just doesnt have room, so all that expansion is not bringing in any revenue and is just costing them
@casebinge7352
@casebinge7352 3 года назад
Thanks for the thoughts! I think you're probably right, the market size is pretty small for how much they're expanding. That's a great place to focus first, to investigate if maybe that's the reason they're struggling.

Hi Kumar! Unfortunately Jake and I have both been busier than expected with work and personal commitments, but we're hoping to release some more videos before long and hopefully also a cheap course at some point! Thanks so much for the encouragement! We really appreciate it!

In a TEI interview, it is expected to be presented a case?
@casebinge7352
@casebinge7352 3 года назад
That's a great question!! I've done some initial research, but unfortunately I haven't been able to figure that out for sure! I would suggest asking a contact of yours there, if you have one, or even just directly emailing HR to ask if applicants should be prepared for any sort of case interview. I hope that can help!

I would say Scott could express himself more concisely
@casebinge7352
@casebinge7352 2 года назад
Honestly, that's pretty much always a fair point, and being concise is definitely helpful in cases
@abbasrizvi60
@abbasrizvi60 3 года назад
Didn't like the answer to the first question. My points 1)I would like to understand cost broken down into different business segments and understand where we are loosing most money 2)Would like to investigate further cost heavy business segments and discover opps to maybe outsource 3)Understand industry dynamics and see if everyone is loosing money, if not, great chance for us to benchmark our operating model to industry standards and bring profitability back 4)compare company from profitable years to now and see any special events i.e litigation, interest cost on some debt that has increased our cost
@casebinge7352
@casebinge7352 3 года назад
Hey Abbas! These are all great points! I especially like the point about benchmarking the company's Op Model--it would be great to understand if we're structured similarly to our competitors or if perhaps we're doing something unusual that could be hurting our margins. Thanks for watching!
