I tried out those TVs filters, but used my tds reader and they didn’t do anything really, I now rent a di water tank from a water company for 15 bucks a month and only have to exchange it about once a year.

Nice work!! I've just got started detailing while also working full time. Going to see where it takes me. The one thing about this video that hit me, was how you said everyone mixes you up with your dad. I'm not a Jr., my dad is so I get stuff in the mail that would be for him, my grandpa who passed away, I've also passed away according to some websites, I have multiple addresses 🤣 the list goes on and on. I know the feeling.

What are your fixed costs for each detail, so like the belongings bag, detail products, and others? I use P&S and Iron Remover is my most expensive product from them so I only use it as an upsale but it looks like you use it on every vehicle even if you don't see rust on the paint. Also, who does your swag and belongings bags?

That varies, with the paint hardness, color even make and model, client budget also, I'm not afraid to use a polish with fillers after discussing the process if the client is on a budget, lots of variables.

I had no idea the steam cleaner was such a game changer, lots of channels I follow say it's useful but not necessary. For someone just starting out, would you recommend buying a cheap steamer or waiting awhile and saving for a proper industrial unit?

Im obviously not the guy in the video but from my experience of using my steamer its not something i always use. But its an amazing tool that can reach where you cant reach by hand or brush. It can help remove stubborn stains and even like he said make up, waxes gum paint anything that will soften and become easier to remove when heated up. I use a mculloch steamer and it works just fine. If youre just starting out id say its not necesary. If anything an extractor has more value if you to pick one or the other. But you could always buy a cheaper mculloch steamer and a bissel spot clean pro extractor. To get both then upgrade later on as you come to learn what your needs are. You could also use steam instead of most chemicals to save some moneh

Joel there was something really bugging me about this video and I’m surprised it was bugging you too. The issue at hand is the car is parked on a cement driveway but if you notice there is dirt on both sides very close to the car. Potentially creating mud when you spray it with ur water hose and potentially tracking dirt or mud in what ur cleaning. You are in essence threading the needle with not letting the dirt create unnecessary problems.
