Maybe technically, but if the public votes someone in with that mission, with the belief that it will be good for the country, then that's how our system is designed to work. We have a major lack of democracy in that so many people are appointed, and wealthy donors feel they can decide who gets elected. Someone like Bernie getting massive amounts of donations is a good sign I think. Hopefully our system can be modified to encourage and reward citizen participation instead of democracy feeling pointless for so many.

I actually think its kind of a good thing, she was a great journalist. You are supposed to ask the tough questions but more importantly, without bias, unlike with Hillary where all the questions were given to her in advance and no tough questions were asked as to not seem "sexist" or "mean". Bernie has the answers and this is great training exercise for all the corporate democrat and conservative talking points that are sure to come. He really just needs to quit being shy when it comes to his civil rights fighting days. He needs to talk about that as much as he has been talking about healthcare and run on Integrity.
