Dang to be so bold to do it so out in the open really makes you curious what assaults or rapes he might have taken part of during times no one is watching

In my eyes, Judge Hatchett is still the amazing, admirable, honorable and powerful judge that has been a great example for many of us growing up in the last 2 decades. I hope she is not too hard on herself for taking the “High-Road”.. ! After studying these events, I am impressed again that as usual she took the “High-Road” with respect and class!

There is actually a lot of power in freezing. It is an instinctive response that animals also have when they are attacked in hopes that the attacker will believe they are already dead. Some end up actually escaping because they froze and the predator relaxed and looked away for a moment. Also being the only black woman had something to do with it - the man thought he could do that and get away with it.

I agree that this is probably not the first time this man has done this. I worry about all the women who have passed through the sheriff's office and all of the officers who have had to watch his behavior and felt helpless. I hope an investigation of the Bleckley County Sheriff's office is underway.

The fact he felt comfortable doing this to a woman in full view of everyone tells me his background should be examined. A man his age doesn't wake up at that age and become a sex offender. That poor woman, I hope she'll be ok. I'm glad she spoke up, her voice as a woman, a distinguished judge and a woman of colour matters.

absolutely cannot understand how anybody could think they could just do something like especially in front of a bunch of witnesses and rationalize that as being ok. Like how don't you think you aren't going at the least offend somebody and at the worst put yourself in danger of getting physically harmed molesting someone? Did he think she was just going to laugh and say here is the other one if you want to touch that one too. Absolutely is a sex offender and should have got put in jail and should be on the registry.

Furthermore, I used to live in Maui and had lived in a fancy rental near Lahaina to the north of it. The place had a pool and one of the guess had a male friend who dived in the water and tried to grab me from below. I was horrified and got out of the water. His friend who lived their was shocked at what his friend tried to do to me. They were whites from the Mainland. I hurried to the main office to tell what just happened to me. I told the management who was another white man and he looked at me like he did not believe me then all of a sudden the friend of the man who tried to attack me in the water runs over and apologized profusely regarding his friend's actions. At the time I felt frozen and in disbelief. And felt shamed again when the management office, that man who I thought was my friend, did not want to believe me. Some of the young white men who go to Hawaii think, by their actions, think that any woman of color is for the taking for their sexual perversions. Sometimes, you never really know who is your friend. I know that not all whites are like our attackers and that sexual assault can happen to any female at any age. Again, thank you Judge Hatchett for speaking out and too bad that the media did not really cover your plight. Sad.

True. When I was13 I didn’t do anything. For years I went back thinking Why did I not bash the dirty man head with a rock !!! At 27 same thing happened and I froze and did nothing and I was like why didn’t I do anything again!! If I’d see someone else treated badly I’ve never been the one to pretend it’s raining. I get mad and attack. People don’t understand how badly it affects women to be assaulted and minimize the assault, like meh that’s nothing. People get killed you know, grow thicker skin or what’s wrong with you attracting that into your life. Peoples reaction makes it so much worst as it’s always victims fault.

Why in the world would you meet someone for the very first time and touch them anywhere, outside of maybe a handshake?? This cat might look normal, but, he’s not normal. Those aren’t the actions of a normal person. He should be so ashamed of himself... how DISGUSTING and STUPID can one person be?? geez. Wow, I can't believe this happened to Judge Hatchett! I used to watch her court show everyday back in the early 2000's and hers was one of my favorites. Ya gotta be a narcissist to even try this out in an open bar area where everyone is watching, and this sheriff fit the bill. I'm glad he was forced to resign because he would have been fired and should have been and this will always be on his record for life. Ashley and Judge Hatchett make good points. We don't know why he approached her as the only black woman there and did what he did, and we have our theory's, but we'll never know for sure but it's very telling.

Can you imagine, if this man Coody could do this to Judge Hatchett in the day, the things this man must have done in the dark in his position as a cop must be much 1000 times worse. Coody is a dirty filthy cop and probably has been a dirty cop for years and years and he just survived in his career this long. For this man to do this in the presence of all the guests was horrific!! I would have reacted just like Judge Hatchett, I would have been frozen too. Because as a classy lady, you just don't expect a cop to do this to you. Well, now we know him. We all know him. Thanks, Judge Hatchett for bringing this to light.

I'm now in my 60's. At 23, if I'd been then what I am now, I would have followed this doctor from work, gotten him alone & tore him apart starting genitals first like an uncaged lioness! Oh yes,, I would've gotten mine!!! There was " 1 " person I could've told ( he had zero use for him either ) but, I didn't. I'm so pleased that that this happened publicly with you as long as it had to. Although he tried, he couldn't get away with a " LIE. "!!! If wishes can compete w/ prayers, it's not good for me to say what I wish for -Him. - Fellow Warrior Woman.... We salute you!!😀🏆🔔

so I cannot respect Judge Hatchett for none of this. She still there and let that man grope her multiple times, he touched her breast which shouldn't happen, but she said, and did nothing about it. Then he touched her again and she said he did nothing about it then he touched her again and she said and did nothing about it. He actually touched her multiple times until one of his coworkers a man told him to stop it so judge Hatchett might be very vocal in the aftermath by well. She actually had the moment to show strengthen her. She made out of. She stood there in front of a room full of people, letting this man grope her multiple times, and said nothing she said nothing to somebody else. Made a note of it. I am so disappointed at her weakness she would have done nothing about this unless a mini to read because that's exactly what happens now before you go crazy on me. I've been raped three times. I'm quite familiar with sexual assault and if you're standing there with multiple people around you, you don't just continue to let it happen. I don't know what's the where head and whatever but no judge your entire speech is Nolan void because when you actually had the opportunity to do something, you did nothing, you said nothing you probably would've said nothing furthermore if another men did not intervene. Him and I don't want to sit here and listen to anybody saying she froze the trauma. You don't know how you gonna react. You do know how to react everybody does what they need to do to survive or you surrender to survive that's how everybody reacts in sexual assault. It's pretty much universal you're very religious lay there and let them do it especially if there's witnesses so while I'm saying he said wrong and he was definitely not welcomed and questioning the validity of the impact she climbs in the head. She did not even go to the fridge or called Uber eats. That's how devastated she was I don't believe it woman.
