They ARE heroes-especially Clay. He just didn’t give up on her! 🤍 I hope they get a commendation from the mayor or police chief. 🙏🏼 I also pray for #JusticeForTessa and that her ex-husband gets the maximum allowed for each and all of his crimes, arson and attempted murder included. 💜

Brave heroes. I am glad he walked away from Zachary when confronted. I also felt that being said, "Those two little boys still have a mom and not orphaned because of you". Made me cry.

These two men are true heros! This dad raised an amazing son. There is so denying that if it wasn’t for them this momma would not still be here and the poor boys would be orphaned. “I’m just a dad that did something that a dad should do”, yes the perfect example of what not only a dad should be but what a man should be and how every single one of us should be.

This family will continue to need assistance. The two boys need immediate therapy, as will the mother when she heals enough. God only knows what life inside that house has been like prior to now. The donations will need to be continued past the medical bills, which will be much greater than the immediate hospital bill.

Hope those 2 little boys get counseling. Often boys who see their moms abused, grow up to abuse their wives. It’s what they know, and generational abuse continues.

OK, I do regard this family as heroic, but in the same thought if this man who saved this woman from this fire, went to all this trouble to save her life, and the person he feels did this to her came back, I understand he was afraid, but he said he got up to leave, so was he going to leave this man to finish the job if the police hadn’t rounded the corner to the back yard, it’s the follow through for me, men don’t understand the follow through, they have it in their minds that women are property, and if she’s married she’s the property of her husband, and that is what’s causing the follow through with these assailants, they know they have conditioned men to believe this nonsense, so they allow it to happen, I commend the family for helping this woman, but always remember, never leave unless the threat is neutralized.

he was abusive before they got married yet she married him had a baby i guess so she could take some of the beating off or her and had ANOTHER CHILD TO BE TRAUMATIZED!!! i bet she would go back to him if he was not LOCKED UP! filed for divorce...prob cause this story made it to the news but she would love to be back with him. those boys having that mom who brought them into a bad shituation are not lucky at all. neither is a good parent for them boys

Your comment makes me angry and everyone who supports your views on this is totally wrong. I knew Zach and worked with him for years. I never once had a bad moment with him. In fact, before all this I thought he was one of the nicest dudes I ever met. He went out of his way to help his coworkers. Everyone liked joking around with him too. Now that all of this has happened, I've heard he was abusive at home. I had no idea he was capable of harming her. Put yourself in her shoes. If you love someone sometimes people stick with them even if they hurt you because they love the person not the abuse. You might not have ever stuck with someone who was abusing you but I have because I loved my ex. So I understand what it's like to not want to leave even if you are being hurt. There's two sides to an abuser. One is a very loving and supportive person who has your back and would do anything to support you. He had a hard job and worked many hours to provide for them. At one point, he loved them. It's not her fault that he was ever abusive nor is it her fault that she loved him enough to stay. You should be ashamed of yourself for saying this when she almost lost her life. The injuries she is dealing with are real and painful. What if this happened to your sister? You need to shut up
