Adam Robinson Epping is sorta in Essex. When you get to Woodford then you are in London.

To be honest, no one has ever done a proper speed ranking to show the real speed of the trains, because you should to put into account the density of stops. Victoria line and Central line rank really high because there's a large distance between their stops - they stop less, so they maintain higher speed. For example, Victoria line doesn't stop AT ALL between King's Cross and Highbury & Islington - a distance in which Northern line would've put in 4 stations. From there, Victoria line also goes on to skip Drayton Park and Arsenal and goes directly to Finsbury Park, and that's even a larger distance. On the Central line, although I appreciate the speed, it goes into the depths of the countryside - the more rural, the less frequent the stops. The same goes for Metropolitan line.
