FULL KITCHEN TOUR | EMMA COURTNEY
As promised, a full kitchen tour! I tried not to pre-clean too much because I think its important to see how I live day to day rather than a styled space that isn’t liveable. I really try to have. Balance between beauty and function. Also, we really need to go grocery shopping so things in our kitchen feel a little empty - especially the fridge! Sharing a full look into how I organize the kitchen, how it functions for us day to day and my biggest regret!

Love this! It’s nearly the same measurements as our kitchen so I appreciate seeing how we could reno it similarly! Can you please share how your corner cabinet by the dishwasher works? Does it have something that pulls out? Thank you!

I’d say the dishwasher location isn’t ideal but there wasn’t another option/would have to run new plumbing etc. the corner cabinet is just shelves but you could install something that pulls out if you wanted! I believe rev a shelf sells something for this

@@EmmaCourtneyHome thank you! Yes, our dishwasher is to the right of the sink, so we’d do our garbage pull out on the left. But then need a solution for the awkward corner there. What design software did you use for it all?

Hi Emma. How did you frame the kitchen counters/cabinets? For example there is a panel that runs up the fridge side. Is that ikea also or was that custom built and installed? If custom, what kind of wood was used? Thank you!

Hi Jordan! The insides of the cabinets are ikea but the outer parts you see like doors, panels etc are from AllStyle retrofit! More details are here emmacourtneyhome.com/ikea-kitchen-look-custom/

Do you find the dishwasher being there inconvenient? I imagine it would be a nuisance to have the open dishwasher door blocking access to the cabinets when trying to unload it.

Yes! It’s not ideal but there weren’t better options and we didn’t want to change the layout plumbing! It can definitely be annoying though
