Thank you for this stimulating lecture,from Egypt btw loved the Alain Badiou also idk how I didn't hear about him before and i was looking for something new to me related to what I'm working on so I'm considering this my Christmas gift ! 😅 I think it's weird but clear to and easy to say that in face of love and faith we see a clear contradiction one is free to one's own conditions as an individual, it's so clear that I had or have to do what I do but yet not an assumption of freedom is here but a declaring of it, I'm free to my chains they're mine,

Regarding the freedom part. If freedom is defined as acting in. result of "having no choice" then the act of being born would constitute the greatest example of exercising one's freedom. Really? The example of "falling in love" also seems not to hold much of a merit. One always has a choice to fall or not. Like Kierkegaard who decided that "it would mean sacrificing the freedom, the open-endedness, the essence of an authentic life".
