I remember the last time Memphis went to Houston in the NCAA tournament they were in the national championship but I still think Memphis is just not ready to go all in. Memphis goes far as elite 8 or sweet 16
@@ryansepicyarn3798 well you were correct. One of his final 4 picks is already out😄 This guy is so full of himself it's laughable, he's a modern day version of the old snake-oil salesman.
I love the confidence but I just feel like March madness isn’t something you can’t crack with analytics. It’s so random and unpredictable often people who rarely watch college basketball end up with the best brackets
In the first two rounds, I would agree you can't rely TOO heavily on analytics. However, when it comes to predicting the final four, it's been consistently the "top tier" teams. Even in the cases of a lower seed making it all the way, it's almost always a team from a power 5 conference. Think UNC (8) last year or UCLA (11) the year before.
@@zachattack131 Moreover on your point, I agree but I think it has more to do with the top tier coaches rather than the top tier teams. But they do go hand and hand…
@@ThatGuy-bi8mm that’s exactly why i think msu could make a big run. marquette will be a tough team to beat but after that it gets a lot easier for them
I agree it isn’t solvable, but I do think analytics can help identify gaps. By gaps I mean the things that the tournament committee uses for seeding that don’t align with how good the team is. They have imperfect data too, but you can do better than average by identifying those.
I completely Agree with that feeling about Marquette. But I also agree that I just can’t see them winning it all. A big East team just doesn’t sound too right
Video is already getting love. Remember guys, DG is the best there is when it comes to college basketball. Cash your tickets and start planning your vacation to Aruba
Thank you for being calm about Tennessee and not hating on them. I’m a Tennessee fan and yes it will be a huge success if we even get into the sweet sixteen.
I love this bracket. I have one disagreement. Baylor will not lose to Creighton. Yes, BU is inconsistent, but it's mostly on defense. If you are saying Creighton is inconsistent too, then it comes down to experience and offense, which gives the edge to Baylor. I agree that the winner in that game is losing in the sweet 16 against Arizona. Just my opinion.
Great stuff!! A little Narrative for Houston playing in Houston for the Championship and guess who is a Houston Guy? The GOAT calling His LAST NCAA Final Four Championship!!! What a way to ride out into the sunset a winner from beginning till end Congrats to Houston Athletics and to Jim Nantz!! My top 2 of all time Color Commentator!!
Mizzou one of the scariest teams to play imo, so fast and better defense than analytics say, way underseeded beaten Tennessee twice, Kentucky, Arkansas, Iowa state, and nearly bama. They’re going all out
BRO I HAD THE EXACT SAME FINAL 4 AND ALMOST THE EXACT SAME ELITE 8 AS YOU. I had Arizona over Alabama, Houston over Xavier, Uconn over Gonzaga, and Marquette over Duke. Then in the final 4 I had Marquette over Arizona, and Houston over UConn. Then I had Houston over Marquette in the championship.
I could see Marquette losing to a team like MSU or a hot Kentucky. Shaka smart does not do well in the tournament and they have a lot of young players. Thoughts?
But doesn't it seem like there's almost always one of those 11 seeds that wins their play-in game and comes into the tournament rolling and wins a game or two?
Texas: beats #3 Kansas by 16 Texas: beats Oklahoma State by 14 Texas: beats #22 TCU by 6 Texas: beats #3 Kansas by 20 (without one of Texas' best players) This guy, with Texas-colored hair: nah, vibe's off
Texas blows out Kansas by 20 but there’s a weird “vibe” they’ve been in the top 10 pretty much all year and played in the toughest conference in basketball. I get what you mean Texas has not shown up in the past but the guard play is the difference this year
I really like what dylan disu is doing right now, SJR hasn’t been hitting threes but he’s still effective, marcus carr had a great championship game and timmy allen will return, I’m excited
I love the picks but the disrespect to the big 12 is insane. I think at least 1 team from the big 12 is in the final four considering they are the best conference in cbb this year
Stumbled onto this video. Someone enlighten me on how a guy can call himself a bracket guru when in 2022 he went 0 for 4 picking final 4 teams, had Iowa in the final 4 who lost in the first round, and called St. Peters a bad 15 seed. He also clearly can't read the statement by the sheriff and Brandon Miller's attorney on what actually happened the night of the murder. Wasn't his gun and he didn't take the gun to Miles. Miles' gun was left in Miller's car without Miller knowing it and he and Jaden Bradley went to pick Miles up
like the picks, only one that could flip is Xavier over Houston. Muskies can get hot at any point from all aspects of the game. Will come down to the health of Marcus Sasser tbh
What’s great about this tourney is any team can get hot for 40 minutes and steal 1 sometimes 2 games. The upsets happen in the first Weekend when everyone is nervous and players choke under the showtime pressure. The settle down after that first win but The higher your seed the less you have to lose meanwhile a high seed is supposed to win and has all the pressure that potentially failing brings. What’s your boys gonna say if you blow it? Scouts watching I can’t choke.. It’s so good and that’s why we love it when some kid comes out of nowhere and can’t miss. Who’s it gonna be this year?! My bracket is close to yours but I took a few turns that my gut pointed to and I’m keeping it to myself. Don’t want none of y’all’s juju on my picks 😂
East is weeeek I don’t know what the committee was thinking, putting four top 10 teams in the west bracket Houston and Marquette have a cakewalk to the final four
I hate what the committee did in the west region, UConn could be a 3 seed, Gonzaga could be a 2 seed, saint Marys is a really strong 5 seed and UCLA could be a 1 seed. They really messed up badly there
Duke fan here, they’re one of the hottest teams in the country right now, don’t sleep on this Scheyer coached Duke team. They got it together at the right time, I have them going to the final 4
In my First Four I have Southeast Missouri St over Corpus Christi (SEMO vs BAMA) FDU over Texas Southern (FDU VS Purdue) Mississippi State over Pittsburgh Nevada over Arizona State
Memphis will be the Final 4 team from the East... Marquette has good offense but not always consistent. otherwise, very nice bracket. My final 4 has Arizona, Memphis, Houston, UConn. Cool to see that we have 3/4 of the same teams
You said you picked New Mexico State a year ago vs UConn and everyone else did as well. But you said that the 5 seed ended up winning, which was UConn. New Mexico State actually won last year.
The fact that you didn’t put Alabama in the final four because of that situation shows a level of immaturity. It’s amazing that you and so many people can’t get over it after everything. I hope you get showed up bad.
Love the videos man but you do know it’s not Houston University and Texas University. It’s University of Texas, University of Houston. Hence UH lol. multiple videos you said this in too so figured you might want to know!
Your dream about Marquette ended up a nightmare. And I love that you're an analytics God in your own mind because your predictions are just getting crushed.
