The iconic Gulf livery Porsche 917 never won Le Mans except in the Steve McQueen film. Helmut Marko of Red Bull fame won Le Mans in a Porsche 917.

I have a photo of this exact car with my 4 year old sitting in it, hanging in my den. It last sold in Monterey for $4Mil I believe.

I sat in this car about 20 years ago in a very famous shop that restores and does Porsche work and there was no signature or anything on the door of the car did they take the door off originally and store it away?

Oh I forgot I also saw that car rennsport in Daytona no signature on the door and yes that is when Jerry Seinfeld owned the car but did not come to renssport because he had a prior engagement

@@angelcanetti8176 To me, the fake signature doesn't add value. The car will go for a crazy amount simply because it's a 917 and few exist much less come up for sale.

i dont know how original that car is being a movie car but the real one number 22 car that won in 1971 is Priceless it created records that lasted for 3 or 4 decades :: all the fast big engine cars got outlawed by the racing commission

Pay a little closer attention and you will hear.....and read above, that it goes under gavel at Kissimmee in Jan 2025. Those rocket scientist degrees, I know, don't serve as well as they used to.
