great machines. i own an x11 and it is a fantastic machine with a 2 axis rotary trunion on the table turning it into a 5 axis capable machine. i love it!

there is a plunger that goes in it to right? so fuel can be filled only when sealed around the rounded cap and slightly pressurized, because a jet airplane is re-fueled from the bottom of the fuel tank up. also a outer retaining ring that the fill line clamps to pulling the line over the rounded cap. theirs only 15'000 gallons sitting on top of it... "those three inner fins look very small 😵‍💫".

Great video Tyson. Boy if I had you and that machine years ago in my shop I’d be a multi, multi millionaire lol. Just curious what’s the MRSP of that machine? I think DM Solutions make awesome machines. We purchased a lathe from them 2 years ago and it’s working great!

Now, SpaceX is VERY vertically integrated so they don’t need to outsource. As you can see in the BlueOrigin video, Blue will soon also be doing all machining themselves.

Hey cool video, but why do a complex deburring pass? Why not use a standard 45 degree chamfer mill and run it to the face of the 3 slots? Or is it just to show what you can do ?

On such «big parts», why not stress importance of supporting parts in z directions if you have a shoulder to butt against on transfer to sub spindle. At our company, a major component in qouoting parts is ridgidity in setup. Ridgidity in both x and z direction is of major concern for cycle time. However, we have mori NT machines and will probably outrun you on cycle times any day without this concern. Best regards from someone who is done with DN machines.

Darn it. I used to build computers for a CAD/CAM retailer. I used my invention to make them run faster than stock so they could literally advertise "fastest computer". In the end I made over 1000 computers for them.
