Lee Slater drops past with his completely restored early 60's Gibson ES-335 - a fascinating and impressive restoration which sounds great! Recorded straight to camera using a Royer r-121 and Shure SM57 mics and 2 x SSL preamps.
One of my dream guitars right here, although I prefer it in tobacco burst. A great modern guitarist who uses the ES-335 in innovative ways - Dave Harrington. He's the guitarist of DARKSIDE (whose album Psychic and ep Darkside are fantastic) and the leader of the Dave Harrington Group. Highly recommend. Thanks for the rad video.
If you want to do another, I have a original 1960, PAF's, that somebody spray painted red back in the 70,s. Missing the pick guard, one "dot" and the strap buttons. No Bixby. It is a real player tough.
kingy9189 - these guitars are out there. It's just a case of knowing what you're looking at and asking the right questions. It's okay too if it isn't possible to track down original parts. There's some great repro stuff available. Plenty of information about that on the popular Gibson forums.
