I was right you did like it . Actually the side with the new version looked smoother I think . You know I don’t have anything ysl looks like a beautiful foundation spf ha some good ingredients. Thanks Jodi you really do so much research for us have a beautiful blessed weekend ❤
@@JodiMannes I’m feeling really good I thought it was Covid I finally got a test and it shows negative so I don’t know . I was hoping g it’s Covid and I passed it very light who knows 🙁
Hey Jodi! Great comparison. I didn’t see a difference. It looks like a great foundation. I’ve never used the brand because it’s matte. I don’t understand the intensity part though. Explain please. Now you have me second guessing myself on the Haus Labs that I’m wanting. Your eyes look great also. Sorry I’m so late watching. My internet has been out. Have a great weekend! ❤
Hi Lisa! If you have the Haus Labs in your cart, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. It's a beautiful finish foundation with buildable coverage. The YSL is more full coverage and matte than the Haus Labs, but not as matte as the Dior. I'm glad your internet is working again 😊
Your foundation reviews are the best!! I can actually SEE the foundation, not just how pretty you are, lol. I'm going to have to check out your archives to see if you have any other reviews specific to brands I've been curious about. Thanks!
Thank you, Elise. The close up's aren't always flattering but they're helpful to see how the product wears. lol. If you're looking for foundation specifically, there is a 'foundation' playlist that might help! Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
@@JodiMannes Jodi, I don't mean to sound weird or stalker-like, lol, but you close-ups in natural light are SO helpful and the reason I'm weaning myself from other RU-vid personalities. I'm sure they are all terrific people, but honestly, every single foundation they try looks the same on each and every one of them. Until I watched you, I thought that was simply because of my untutored eye, lol. So thank you for the up close and personal views, because it makes a great deal of difference from someone who counts every penny! Also, you look fabulous in every light!
@@profesraelise Hi Elise, that doesn't sound stalker-ish at all lol. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your kind thoughts and for sharing what, specifically, is helpful to you. I truly love what I do when I can help someone - so a big thanks to you for sending this comment. It made my whole week!
Thanks so much for this great video. Would be interesting to test this foundation on the gym, especially if it says sweatproof. If I am honest the new makeup looks better on you after 4 hours test. It seems smoother on your face and less wrinkles or discoloration (your undereyes and around the mouth) on the side you used the new one. Also if I may say your face looks more lifted with the new makeup. I don't know if it is the lighting of the camera but it seems def. better than the old one.
Thank you for sharing! I always keep my lighting in the same place as to not change the look (colors, tones, etc.) from the camera's perspective. So if the newer one looks better as time went on, and lifted, I'll stop wearing what's left in the old bottle tomorrow! 😊. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I hadn't noticed the improvement over time, but see it now that you mention it.
@@JodiMannes yep, they are definitely improving their formula. But I would still use the old one, or whatever is left over. Don't throw it away. I typically use my old stash when running small errands, picking up my son from school, supermarket, walks on the park, gym, etc. Facial creams that no longer fit my skin type I use them for my decollete area or body. Clothing, I donate. I don't throw anything. But then again that's me :), being in the corporate world for many years taught me the hard way the value of money. Growing older we learn a few things on the way. ;)
Thanks for doing this video. I looove the old version. I am a little concerned though because when I looked at the cheat sheet the color I wear, which is br65 , looks so different from the one they say is the new match. May have to go in store
I agree. Many of the reviews state they love the new formula but trying to find a new color is a bit of a challenge unless you can go to a store. Just based on what I found when finding a color, you may like a MC7 or MN7. I'd love to know what you find is the right match for you!
Thank you for your videos and explanation. I am struggling with the shades of YSL foundation and concealer (I do not like shopping so I buy online) and I love everything Touche eclat but to get the shades right is a nightmare. I got the Touche Eclat foundation in B30 and its too browny yellowy imo. (I have a Chanel foundation in B30 and that was perfect, I tought it would be similar) Anyway; some of the shade numbers YSL go up but does not mean they go darker right, sometimes they go paler? Like LN4 is paler than LN1? in concealer? I am CONFUSED
I completely understand! I loved YSL but have really struggled with the new shades so I finally switched to Haus Labs Triclone concealer and found the correct shade on the first try by using their online shade finder from the HausLabs website. Maybe that's worth a try!
Hello, Ebony!! How are you doing? Glad you liked the video, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the foundation if you try it. Hope all is well with you always.
It's been trial and error lol. I wore B45 and now wear MN5. I don't think it's an exact match, but after 4 attempts, it's the closest I've found. Good luck. I'd love to know if you find one that matches closer.
Hi Cindy, glad you enjoyed the video. The YSL website states the new formula is oil free. It wears really beautifully. The only drawback is that you have to take your time to match the new colors to your skin tone. When I did this video, the MN5 was perfect for me, however as I haven't been in any sun for several weeks, it's too dark and somewhat orange so back to the store for a new 'winter' match lol.
